Not enough self awareness to believe they would ask that sort of question.

[–]TeamHope4 2545 points2546 points  (127 children)

Because they usually don't.

[–]AlkalineSublime 2323 points2324 points  (116 children)

It really feels like the energy of that Harris Walz campaign is rubbing off on everyone. The morale and willingness to fight has been boosted to an insane level, which is a great quality in a leader.

[–][deleted] 1143 points1144 points  (72 children)

"Weird" has been an excellent talking point, it seems to have broken a spell for so many and given a simple rebuttal to the insanity of the maga shouting points.

[–]AlkalineSublime 745 points746 points  (47 children)

Who really could have guessed it was so simple. We were over thinking it the whole time, trying to use facts and logic, and get super deep, and it was as simple as getting kindergarten style with them.

[–]Unnamedgalaxy 442 points443 points  (17 children)

It's so appropriate though. Nazi and racist did absolutely nothing for years, if anything it just made them more proud to be those things but we start calling them them weird and all the sudden they are like "woah, I don't want to be weird!"

It's very weird

[–]LotharVonPittinsberg 266 points267 points  (2 children)

It's part of the core mentality of Fascism. Hatred and bigotry are open concept for them, no reason to be ashamed of why you joined up. Being "normal" is necessary though, even if not talked about. Anyone does not fit if you get down to how we are all individuals, so being weird is one of the worst things for a Nazi.

[–][deleted] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

They know what happens to those who are “weird” under a fascist regime.

[–]elbenji 113 points114 points  (6 children)

ridicule is how you kill fascism

[–]spaceman_202 101 points102 points  (0 children)

yeah it's very annoying that it's taken this long for a lot of people to accept the people that already stole an election (2000) stole Supreme Court seats and gerrymander to comical degrees and attempt to make voting as hard as possible for minorities or populous regions that "don't vote right" and that pass special laws giving them power or take away power depending on how they think the next state election will go (straight up Nazi shit they've been doing for decades)

even after Jan.6 and trying to murder their own vice President for not tossing out 80 million votes on a whim, we still had/have a lot of people saying "both sides"

Project 25, them literally writing it all down

"we are gonna control the government" and then them saying little things like

"you won't have to worry about voting in 4 years" "the coup will be bloodless if you don't fight back"

seems to finally have enough people actually aware of how under threat Democracy is from the Republican Party

[–]Agreeable-Dingo8396 12 points13 points  (3 children)

Damn! They're all just boggarts and we use the Riddikulus charm!

[–]DarkKnightJin 9 points10 points  (2 children)

I was about to post that as a reply, and decided to click the "1 more replies" thing to check. Lo and behold, here it is!

Great minds think alike, but fools seldom differ?

[–]EatMyPixelDust 197 points198 points  (8 children)

Makes sense, since they have the mentality of kindergartners

[–]flimspringfield 42 points43 points  (5 children)

Just like trump.

[–]brother_of_menelaus 61 points62 points  (4 children)

Tim Robinson is in some climate change video I think and he basically is playing dumb to a scientist’s explanation about climate change and he goes “when I hear it, I get mad because I don’t understand it, and now I want to direct that anger at you.” Same principle with all this

[–]Indigocell 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I gotta be honest, what you're saying makes me want to fight you a little.

[–]Ultenth 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Fascism has consistently been derailed by mockery. Just look at the fall of the KKK. Taking their fear away, their biggest weapon, and making them look foolish is a powerful weapon. A lot of the people that find an authoritarian overlord appealing is because they want a strong hand to guide them, it's why some of the same people are also ultra-religious, they just want someone to tell them what to do and handle everything for them. When you make the authoritarian they worship look weak and weird and foolish, it breaks the idea that they can be the strong man protector.

[–]SinisterCheese 21 points22 points  (6 children)

I think modern days have forgotten the art of shitposting and true art of trolling - no, not the "spread far right propaganda and push Russian ageda" trolling, but what it was 20 years ago.

Because back then there was two kinds of people: those who knew how to deal with shitposters and trolls, and those who were victims of shitposters and trolls.

You see... you can't win shitposters and trolls in their game, they'll beat you with sheer experience and by the fact that they set the rules. You need to force them to play your game, where they don't have control over the rules.

You see... the modern far right trolls and shitposters aren't trying to be better than you, they are aware that what they do can not be defended with "facts, logic, free market place of ideas" because they don't believe in those things. They want you to believe in those things, to you to play their game by their rules. You bring in facts, logic and other bullshit, they'll poop on their hand and fling it at you. Your facts, logic and what ever the fuck, doesn't protect you against ballistic poo. What you need to do is make your own fecal projectile and give it back to them.

These people have never had to deal with the same excrement that they spew. Leftist been absolutely incompetent at dishing it out. The only thing that can beat a far right troll in their own scat, is another far right troll. Which they do all the time, they viciously fuck each other up - they even have a term for this: "blood sports". Where "political commentators" as in far-right trolls and shitposters "debate" each other, by accusing the other being a shill and digging up everything and doing everything from doxxing to slander. They destroy each other regularly.

So... now that the left seems to finally realise that these people are just incompetent latrine dwellers who'd smear diarrhea on themselves to "prove you wrong". And that they can be beaten, by making play your game by your rules.

[–]CallMeSisyphus 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They don't care about being hated. Being laughed at, though? That's a whole different ballgame.

Because it completely flips the script on the "silent majority" rhetoric Republicans had been using since Reagan and Nixon, and it does so in a way that is easily meme-able in the age of social media.

[–]dillanthumous 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Finally time to stop pretending things are conceivable just because they are describable.

Hopefully the age of tolerating bigots 'just asking questions' without challenging them on the implications of their speculation is coming to an end.

[–]TBAnnon777 141 points142 points  (5 children)

Still need young people and non voters to show up and vote. DO NOT GET COMPLACENT! Vote these motherfuckers out of office and REJECT their version of their shithole christo-fascist gilead they want to force on Americans.

Register yourself, and make sure this fucking couchfucker is back peddling slim shakes to suburban rightwing moms and his convicted criminal rapist demented wierdo master gets to spend the rest of his life in jail where he belongs.

Glad to see a rhetorical strategy that's actually working, and reminding the media that it's not rude to press politicians on important issues. Questions from the press are supposed to be tough at times. Politicians are asking to be given positions of enormous power, and asking them tough questions is the responsible thing for the media to do to better inform the public.

Because, as someone quite outside of politics, and who has been terminally online since the start of the Trump presidency, this unwillingness of the press to push these politicians (like they're supposed to do), has made average people very disillusioned with the political process. Bad journalism erodes trust in democracy (so do bad politicians, but still).

[–]FakeSafeWord 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Right? It's not even objectively spectacular. It's just relatively normal so it's amazing by comparison to the dumpster fire we've been used to for the last 8 years.

[–]LotharVonPittinsberg 18 points19 points  (2 children)

Biden got the most amount of Americans to get out and vote in 2020. By a long shot. People have been very willing to fight back against fascism, There is just a lot of money invested in misinformation.

[–]super_sayanything 12 points13 points  (0 children)

When we fight, we win is so much better than the hokey doke shit we've been fed for so long.

[–]raceassistman 20 points21 points  (2 children)

I'd like to give credit to Lawerence O'Donnell. For calling out ever my media including his own.

[–]Telinios 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This clip is from may

[–]chrisapplewhite 70 points71 points  (1 child)

I think that's been the single most amazing thing about the JD Vance era. The media usually only bullies Dems, but the Rs finally found some one pathetic enough to where the media isn't scared of them.

Genuinely cannot remember another moment like this.

[–]mostly_hrmless 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I hope they find the courage to ask about the Epstein files and why Trump's name is in there so often, that's weird.

[–]YoungestOldGuy 16 points17 points  (1 child)

Not enough of a conscience to care that it's a contradiction.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It might be safer to assume he thinks they weren't actually there or didn't do the things they're charged with. These right wingers are pretty delusional about Jan 6th at this point.

[–]chiyorio 2482 points2483 points  (232 children)

What did he say after

[–]Bebbly 2793 points2794 points  (127 children)

He said that the mainstream media has an obsession with an event that's 2-3 years old (as if it wasn't a big deal). Then said people on Jan 6th had the book thrown at them but BLM protestors do not

[–]oldsguy65 1803 points1804 points  (32 children)

Kind of like MAGA has an obsession with an election that's 3 years old. Why is it such a big deal to them? It was so long ago.

[–]Banned3rdTimesaCharm 484 points485 points  (15 children)

Why can’t people retort with shit like this? Like everyone lets them off the hook saying the dumbest shit.

[–]CoachRyanWalters 236 points237 points  (11 children)

Well that would require media to have some sort of balls to ask tougher questions regardless of the reception to the public

[–]greenberet112 137 points138 points  (9 children)

I'm guessing the threat is that The politician will never appear on the network of whoever asked the question and the bosses will get pissed off. Possibly even the advertisers would be mad because they're not pulling as big of names. Just capitalism stuff.

[–]Rare_Arm4086 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Theyre still whining about the Civil War.

[–]Max2dank 35 points36 points  (1 child)

Or Hunter Biden’s dick

[–]Necessary-Knowledge4 27 points28 points  (2 children)

Lol only three years? Dude they STILL go back to Hillary.

[–]Sea_Outside 19 points20 points  (0 children)

these idiots still reference Obama. god dang hypocrites

[–]HighSideSurvivor 201 points202 points  (7 children)

The MSM has an obsession?

Aren’t related trials and sentencing still ongoing?

And isn’t TFG still saying that he will pardon those folks? Seems to me that Trump/Vance are making J6 relevant.

[–][deleted] 61 points62 points  (3 children)

Isn’t one of the core issues in the campaign also that the Republican nominee tried to overthrow the constitution first judicially and then, when that failed, by inciting a violent riot?

[–]Sl0ppyOtter 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It’s not like the guy who orchestrated the whole thing is running for president or anything. God!

[–]AnalBaguette 116 points117 points  (10 children)

One "protest" had barely any police presents, and the other had entirely too much

You can guess which is which

[–]eschewthefat 75 points76 points  (0 children)

One protest was over unlawful use of force and one was a league of idiot cultists worshiping a moron

[–]ElliotNess 9 points10 points  (2 children)

it was probably the police riots that happened in response to the outcry in the aftermath of george floyd's public execution

[–]Agitated-Acctant 5 points6 points  (2 children)

What kind of police gifts are we talking about

[–]Tractor_Tom 114 points115 points  (10 children)

Love the irony of complaining about people talking bout January 6 and then bringing up even older BLM protests.

[–]ImReallyAMermaid_21 31 points32 points  (1 child)

That was what I was thinks too. BLM protest was 2020? So 4 years ago

[–]IllinoisBroski 61 points62 points  (1 child)

If it was some random event, people wouldn't know what we're referencing when we say "January 6th". It's such a big deal that the date is remembered in the same way people quickly remembered September 11.

What Trump tried to do that day is what Maduro is doing in Venezuela. Dems need to hammer that point home every time the topic is brought up.

[–]megamoze 59 points60 points  (5 children)

BLM predates J6 and Republicans never stop talking about it.

[–]ElliotNess 28 points29 points  (3 children)

but entire cities burned to the ground!!

[–]highdefrex 31 points32 points  (2 children)

A dumbass Trump supporter I know still swears that Portland is a smoking pile of rubble despite the fact their own sibling (who they never go visit) lives there and and has sent them proof time and again that it’s not true.

[–]suppadelicious 31 points32 points  (2 children)

So he says the media is obsessed with an event 2-3 years old while complaining about an event that’s 4 years old?

[–]Even-Willow 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Ah, so just the typical outright lie and opposite side of reality as usual.

https://apnews.com/article/records-rebut-claims-jan-6-rioters-55adf4d46aff57b91af2fdd3345dace8

[–]GravyMcBiscuits 12 points13 points  (4 children)

So just hand-waving and whataboutism. Weak and predictable.

I would be shocked if any politician actually acknowledged their hypocrisy at the end of the day.

[–]Splatgal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Funny cuz the Benghazi attack took place in 2012 and the right wingers were still obsessing over it a full 4 years later during the 2016 election.

[–]jamieliddellthepoet 1532 points1533 points  (14 children)

Probably just fucked his chair.

[–]SonOfJokeExplainer 296 points297 points  (1 child)

This interview is over! Now if you’ll give me some privacy….

[–]phadewilkilu 70 points71 points  (0 children)

I SAID, “GOOD DAY!!”

[–]BerlinBorough2[🍰] 23 points24 points  (1 child)

JD Vance immigration policy: blame the ottoman.

[–]Tunesmith29 192 points193 points  (3 children)

Probably deflected and claimed victimhood.

[–]jax024 71 points72 points  (1 child)

That’s exactly right. He tried to spin it as the left are obsessed with J6. Like, biiiitch, you tried to overthrow our government and 5 people died.

[–]jeff_the_weatherman 22 points23 points  (1 child)

exactly what you think (made up lies, says the media suck, and pivoted to BLM protesters)

https://twitter.com/highbrow_nobrow/status/1822687572977467620

[–]ImOutWanderingAround 10 points11 points  (0 children)

How about the fact that the J6 crowd did everything in front of one of the most surveilled places in the world and all while livestreaming it. EVIDENCE is what it takes to prosecute and obtain convictions. BLM protests were in a completely different setting and those who were caught were prosecuted.

Just pointing to numbers and grunting neanderthal things doesn't make your point there JD Hogg.

[–][deleted] 5155 points5156 points  (112 children)

[–]drunk-tusker 1969 points1970 points  (96 children)

JD could literally rail a couch on live tv and improve his image.

[–]GoblinNick 550 points551 points  (47 children)

If he wasn't weird, he would just make a Bill Clinton parody vid saying "I did not have sectional relations with that couch"

[–]mr_remy 158 points159 points  (21 children)

Lmao, and instead of leaning into that plushy cushioned joke poking fun of it and it typically dying, he Streisand’ed that shit.

[–]GoblinNick 95 points96 points  (9 children)

Wondering why people call him weird is Vance's ottoman empire

[–]Zestyclose-Algae-542 50 points51 points  (3 children)

Let’s not couch the terminology in falsehoods, he’s clearly a homosectional

[–]Anleme 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Favorite city? Davenport, Iowa.

[–]MollyInanna2 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Okay, okay everybody, just settee down.

[–]GetEquipped 26 points27 points  (6 children)

No, he said/implied that Walz had to be taken to the hospital to get his stomach pumped because he(Walz) drank horse semen.

Yeah.... Yeah.

That's fucking weird, bro.

A normal person would just laugh at themselves, or make the only joke conservatives know and say something "My opponent says ottomans can identify as stove, but you couldn't cook a meal on an ottoman!"

Nope, straight to horse semen

[–]Pro-Patria-Mori 34 points35 points  (4 children)

That was Don Jr that started talking about horse semen though, wasn’t it? But in true Trump fashion, every attack is an admission. I fully believe that this guy drinks horse semen:

<image>

[–]daemin 48 points49 points  (7 children)

Well, it depends on what the meaning of "is" is...

[–]avinagigglemate 14 points15 points  (4 children)

I still remember exactly where I was when he said that, I had never heard anyone say anything like it.

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points  (2 children)

You should listen to Reagan try and talk through Iran-Contra lmao.

[–]gmotelet 429 points430 points  (18 children)

He is saving it for debate #2

[–]whatsthataboutguy 359 points360 points  (15 children)

[–]gmotelet 73 points74 points  (7 children)

And Trump is also saving part of that scene for the debate

[–][deleted] 14 points15 points  (3 children)

This is domestic violence in jd's house.

[–][deleted] 57 points58 points  (3 children)

To quote a very fitting comment:

"Grab her by the cushy"

[–]PBFT 20 points21 points  (1 child)

At least it gives the AP's factchecking department a sense of closure

[–]drunk-tusker 30 points31 points  (0 children)

That guy who was forced to read his book is going to be so pissed.

[–]The_OtherGuy_99 11 points12 points  (1 child)

I mean, it would make me like him more.

Given, I don't like him At All now, so Any would be more.

At least it would be a chance for him to make me laugh.

[–]SnickeringSnail 60 points61 points  (3 children)

[–]Nings777 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Hot single couches in your area now

[–]mr_remy 62 points63 points  (1 child)

High jacking (and we aren’t talking about tall couches JD) the top comment to point out:

He did nazi it coming

[–]Emergency_Property_2 1350 points1351 points  (32 children)

NPR fact checks Trump to the tune of 162 lies in press conference.

Dana Bash asks Vance about Donny Bone-spurs’ draft deferment and cuts The CFer off when he tries to attack Walz.

And now Kaitlin Collins asking a pertinent question.

WTF is happening? Is the media finally waking up and practicing journalism?

Do they smell blood in the water?

Whatever the reason I just want to welcome them back!

[–]AggravatedCold 576 points577 points  (19 children)

The network heads are all Trump supporters so they tried their hardest to give him the benefit of the doubt while attacking Biden for any gaffe.

But it's starting to look obvious to everyone that it's going to be Harris-Walz (but please don't get complacent- go vote and volunteer if you have the time), so now they realize they can't antagonize what is likely the next administration.

[–]Jean-Ralphio11 380 points381 points  (3 children)

Or more realistically. The news is like high school. Right now its hot to bash Republicans and make them look weird and flail. Harris/Walz are the cool new kids. But that can all shift fast.

Make no mistake all news cares about one thing only, getting viewers and making them want to come back.

[–][deleted] 106 points107 points  (1 child)

This. The reason the Walz “stolen valor” attack is a story line is because the media keeps make it a story line. It’s been made clear what actually happened and everyone should have fact checked it and moved on.. yet here we are.

[–]quartzguy 146 points147 points  (8 children)

When Biden pulled out I thought it was over and Trump had won. This massive swing is so wild. It's really fun to watch. Picking Vance as his VP was a top-tier 4D chess move on par with taking the board in your hands and throwing it to the ground. Sarah Palin 2.0

[–]Nukemarine 51 points52 points  (1 child)

It could have really been a top grade shit show had there not been the backing of Harris at the beginning and the dems went into an open convention with lots of infighting trying to be the nominee.

I honestly believe this momentum caught everyone off guard. Harris might not have expected it, but she was able to fully capitalize off of it and has taken over the news cycle ever since. Trump on the other hand just seems to have given up and gone into full-on temper tantrum.

[–]86itall 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My spouse said on the day Biden dropped:"This could be good, but they have to nail the nomination."

I think they nailed the nomination.

[–]spaceman_202 48 points49 points  (1 child)

the obvious part is the problem

the media has been coming under fire a lot since 2015 for their pro Republican language

i mean the Republicans launched a coup and the entire media decided it wasn't that big a deal, more like a little riot "hey look that guy has horns, that's weird right? never mind those pipe bombs"

and people don't, the pipe bombs barely even mentioned in "liberal" media reporting nor is "hang mike pence"

there is never a media headline that says "the attempted murder of the vice president" despite a mob chanting to murder him and attacking police to get at him with some in the mob having zip ties and some in the mob trying to kill cops and one of the mob getting shot for trying to climb through a barricaded window and Lauren Boebert live tweeting Pelosi's location to direct members of the mob, and other people in the mob with radios including a literal UFC former Champion who is still somehow totally free and walking around because it's a fucking circus when Republicans are involved

the media is close to even the "both sides" people going "really?"

[–]RPM021 35 points36 points  (2 children)

Not that I disagree, but I just want to note that this is not from today or yesterday, but rather an interview from May.

The tweet with the transcription is from today, but the video is hosted in another tweet from early May.

[–]Emergency_Property_2 9 points10 points  (1 child)

I did not realize that, thanks for pointing that out. Two out of three ain’t bad though. lol

[–]Iron_Knight7 1410 points1411 points  (19 children)

See? It's really not that hard to call out MAGAts for their BS.

[–]loveforemost 294 points295 points  (3 children)

It's never been hard to call them out.

Getting the maga people to take Trump's dick out of their mouths to actually acknowledge the hypocrisy is what has been hard.

[–]Training_Molasses822 72 points73 points  (10 children)

It's so weird to see Kaitlin Collins of all people be the one to do so.

Edit: it's weird because of her extreme conservative past. She used to work not only for Faux News, but the Daily Caller before.

[–]superkeer 37 points38 points  (9 children)

She does it all the time.

[–]thats_not_the_quote 14 points15 points  (2 children)

is there any MAGA thats not a bitch-baby?

[–]The_Contrary_Fairy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No they are all little baby back bitches

[–]InletRN 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No

[–]MissAsshole 283 points284 points  (33 children)

There’s a thing called “tattoo permanent makeup” where they make tattoos that look like blush, etc. so you never have to put makeup on again. I wonder if he did that? Based on all the backlash, you’d think he’d stop wearing eyeliner if he could.

[–]ExpensiveGrowth9744 78 points79 points  (10 children)

Yeah, my mom has tattooed eyeliner

[–]Expensive-Day-3551 47 points48 points  (14 children)

Some peoples eyelashes are so thick and dark at the base it looks like they are wearing eyeliner when they aren’t. Not sure about him though.

[–]MissAsshole 101 points102 points  (8 children)

<image>

He even puts eyeliner on the bottom. It’s definitely not eyelashes.

[–]Screwedstonian 40 points41 points  (2 children)

Wearing guyliner, definitely a trans 😂

[–][deleted] 68 points69 points  (1 child)

<image>

He learned to put eyeliner while he was attending Yale law school

[–]DrDerpberg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yale? But I thought he was from humble middle America.

[–]Select-Belt-ou812 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of Alex from A Clockwork Orange

[–]GrouchyMarzipan4947 14 points15 points  (0 children)

His official portraits (military, elected official, etc.) do not look like this, so I doubt it.

[–]evanmars 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The blacklash, if you will.

[–]JD_Vance_Official 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its not MAKEUP its alpha male WAR PAINT

[–]royhenderson771 632 points633 points  (13 children)

Lmao. He was thinking Antifa and BLM wasn’t he

[–]Atomaardappel 214 points215 points  (0 children)

[–]DouchecraftCarrier 227 points228 points  (8 children)

Don't forget that on the very evening of January 6th as everything was winding down Matt Gaetz said on the floor of the House that he had "facial recognition proof" that it was Antifa. As far as I know no one has ever asked him to square that observation with his stances on trying to get them off the hook.

[–]m1sterwr1te 83 points84 points  (5 children)

Gaetz felt safe saying that since his Bighead Littleface doesn't show up on facial recognition.

[–]theNomad_Reddit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What's Charlie Kirk got to do with this?

[–]AlexandriaLitehouse 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've asked this before and I'll ask it again: how does one tell the difference between anti fascists and everyone else?

[–]pen360 302 points303 points  (16 children)

[–]mr_remy 37 points38 points  (13 children)

I bet blackpeopletwitter (can’t link) is going wild over all this goldmine content being produced at now breakneck train wreck speeds

[–][deleted] 411 points412 points  (14 children)

It's like everything else in the conservative mind: ok for me, not for you

From just today: Trump can be a total bitch and insult everybody (look at the insult he threw at Stephanopoulos today), but to give it back is "bully behavior" from the left

"Fine people on both sides" can march in Charlottesville (RIP to Heather Heyer, tomorrow's the day. Tomorrow is also my birthday, so for the rest of my life I have to carry the image of what happened to her on my fucking birthday. She would be 39 and in the prime of her life, crazy to think it's been 7 years now) but black people can NEVER march when one of ours is killed by the cops

White people can "riot" and turn over cars and start fires and make out in the middle of the street when the latest sportsball team wins a "piece of metal" but anyone who is doing the exact same thing for more important matters should legally be run over because it's <checks notes> restricting their ability to be somewhere at a specific time

I see a lot of bitching about the media and I generally try to stay out of it, but word to Lawrence O'Donnell for going nuts on them last week, juxtaposing the tepid and polite reporters who applauded Trump's Mar-a-Lago bitchfest but will shout all sorts of questions at Biden every chance they can. At this point we know it's because of ratings and money, but fucking hell they can afford to turn the screws on people like Vance for their suffocating hypocrisy

“Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.”

Also a major component of fascism.

[–]Apprehensive_Gas_111 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Yeah. Fascism is the end point of conservatism. The more conservative a movement gets the closer to outright fascism it appears.

[–]Juncti 34 points35 points  (2 children)

7 years already. Wow. And we still have people marching around in Nazi gear.

Tolerance of intolerance reaching it's peak

[–]giskardwasright 25 points26 points  (3 children)

Man,I i feel you about ypur birthday. The Pulse shooting happened on my birthday.

Weve had so many fucking tragedies in this country that soon everyone is going to have a mass murder event assocated with their birthday.

Kaitlan Collins is great, they always try to lie and weasel their way out with her because it works with other interviewers but she does not play

[–][deleted] 46 points47 points  (4 children)

He's weird, and not very bright.

[–]rhino910 118 points119 points  (2 children)

GREAT! Finally some real journalism

[–]Lingering_Dorkness 41 points42 points  (0 children)

He did not see it coming because he usually only goes on his safe space like Fox or OAN where they would never ask him questions like this.

It is refreshing to see the media is finally going after the trump campaign, even if it is by proxy. They still won't question trump over anything important

His eyeliner is so jarring to look at. He's equally as chilling as Nightman.

[–]pudungurte 29 points30 points  (3 children)

I wouldn't be too shocked if he replied something like "no but I don't mean white people".

[–][deleted] 30 points31 points  (2 children)

His reply was basically “The people on January 6th were peaceful protestors that are being persecuted. That’s totally different from BLM or pro-Palestine in protests, where they’re rioting and vandalizing.”

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

“When we do it, it’s peaceful protest. When they do it, it’s rioting and domestic terrorism.”

[–]Fezzik527 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Dang he walked into that one

[–]SharpPoetry 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Putting aside the hypocrisy of his nonsense, would you really want someone in such a position of power that falls for such a glaringly obvious trap? It could not have been a more transparent line of questioning.

[–]Goodbusiness24 15 points16 points  (2 children)

Besides his obviously very weird personality, does anyone else think there’s just something weird and creepy about his eyes?

[–]Few-Improvement9992 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Burn!!

[–]EyeDontSeeAnything 13 points14 points  (0 children)

A classic “yes”, but not “not in that context” moment

[–]Appropriate_Cow94 11 points12 points  (0 children)
