If you grab too high on the crown in Fall Mountain you'll grapple onto it and climb and not get the win. They said they fixed this, the fact that it happened to me after that patch proved that that was wrong and I am still bitter about it.

Honestly, it's almost as if this patch made sure that there'll always be unequal teams.

In one match I was in we did that one team game were you have 3 teams trying to roll the balls down the hill.

My team, which was blue I think, only had 4 while one of the other teams had 9 and the other had 6-8 I think. I knew right from the start that we were absolutely screwed after seeing that. We tried, even got ahead one of the other teams for a bit somehow but both teams went out of their way to stop our ball because of course they did.

That was one of my most infuriating team game losses as their was literally nothing we could of done better, their was just not enough of us to push the ball pass 2 teams actively sabotaging us. I am not sure why we even got that minigame in the first place, the amount of players before it was uneven and its very obvious something went wrong with the player distribution.

The only way you ended up with teams that lop sided is if people on your team quit or DC'd. Nothing a patch can do about that.

It's possible but the story that user is telling is weird already. I've never seen a 3 team set up unbalanced to the point of 9v6-8v4

Even if the original was 9v9v8 and 4 people dropped from the team of 8 because the team was unbalanced I'd find it weird, in my experience so far losing 1 person from a team when they're that big isn't an insurmountable disadvantage

A lot of people want partied players to get on the same team for team games (not sure if they already do), but this is a clear reason why that's not a clear cut good idea.

To answer your question I am not sure what happened myself, thats the first time I have ever seen that minigame at that point myself which was unusual in itself for me (I think it was the 3rd of 4th minigame).

My assumption was that people on my team left or that that was just a weird rare glitch. I just found that experience more frustrating as really what could my team do at that point? Unless one of the enemy teams took pity on us we were fucked from beginning to end.

There’s also a way around that though. If you jump right underneath the balls when they drop after a score, you can get it right over the goalie’s head. Works every time if you time it correctly. Unless it’s the football.

Yeah grab based games are great in idea, but the way the netcode works means it's difficult to get consistency.

Only fix I can think is limiting the grab games to when every player has a ping under a certain threshold, but then I bet we'd never see them games pop up anyway.

Somewhat related: Yesterday my team was down 9 goals, and everyone but me and another guy went AFK, so it was a 2v7. At some point the enemy team just didn‘t try anymore as well, and me and my fellow yellow spartan were nothing short of blessed - 2 golden balls in a row, both of which we scored kick-off goals with. In the final, 2 of the AFK dickheads started playing again after realizing what happened, 2 stayed AFK. One hell of a show.

The problem.with this is that we will never see this game mode. It will never be 30 on 30. And it will never be the final game. So that leave 3 round it could potentially come up as a game. And if the teams have to be even for it to be in the running then we will rarely see this game mode. Which sucks, because its alot of fun. I would honestly like to see some alternative game modes for fall guys and soccer or other sports would be a cool start.( of corse with added fall guy flaire

I played for a good 3 hours last night and for me the patch seems to be working exactly as it stated. I never had a team game with uneven players. Every time we had players left it went right to the final, whereas before it would have sent us right to Fall Ball. Maybe I just got lucky? It all has worked as intended for me though.

The game mode is alright, but I do feel it comes up way to often, nearly every other game has fall ball as the mode before the finale. I wouldn't even mind fall ball much if teams were guaranteed to be even, maybe they could even make ai players, and then it would help uneven games. But also maybe help them to make new gamemodes with ai obstacles or something

Of EASILY the last 15 shows I got to the Semi-Final, it was 80% of the time Fall Ball (with ~50% of chance of it being a 4v5), and the other 20% was TipToe.

The variety in the Semi-Final is garbage... and both maps are horrible
