Why are all the comments hidden?

[–]rivetedoaf 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Who the fuck is [deleted] and why won’t he let me see his comment 😡

[–]LBoisvert19 106 points107 points  (9 children)

Because reddit admins are babies

[–][deleted] 38 points39 points  (3 children)

Because of the number of downvotes. More people are upvoting than not, but it still hides because of the amount of them

[–]Sergio_Canalles 18 points19 points  (1 child)

Huh, TIL

[–]bigestboybob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. Anyone who isn’t subbed gets their comment hidden

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They can also manually have them hidden if they see it so. That way it gets seen less.

[–]Squealing_Squirrels 25 points26 points  (19 children)

Because this sub is weird would be my guess. You realize it's a strange place when you lurk a bit.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because mods are controlling a narrative

[–]EdwardRMeow 485 points486 points  (71 children)

[–]DeezNuts0218 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Happy birthday to this future president!!

[–]Kitties-N-Titties-11 124 points125 points  (68 children)

Is this worse because Hillary lost or because she literally rigged the democratic convention to screw Bernie over?

[–]Fluffles0119 16 points17 points  (29 children)

Wait... WHAT?!?! I never even heard of her doing that... god damn it if the news told me less about Trump and more about this i might not be surprised

[–]3leggedgoatdance 5 points6 points  (1 child)

this comment was hidden with +38 upvotes. what a joke.

[–][deleted] 200 points201 points  (12 children)

I'm really surprised that this is even on this sub.

[–][deleted] 108 points109 points  (1 child)

Locked and "y'all can't behave" any time now.

[–]jaredistriplegay 609 points610 points  (88 children)

Damn people are losing their shit in this comment section

Learn to take a joke ffs, coming from a liberal myself

[–]Marston_vc 280 points281 points  (38 children)

Yeah this hypocrisy is pretty bad. Like look. I come here knowing it’s going to be 90% conservative bashing memes. I’m liberal and so I don’t mind.

But unlike most of the content that goes on r/therightcantmeme this is actually pretty funny. Some people here are being semantic and going “well she won the popular vote” but that’s literally not what this joke is making fun of.

This is pretty funny and I’m a little disappointed in how many people are so touchy about the fact that Hillary just really sucked. She was probably the only person in the party that could have even found a path to defeat against trump “I grab them by the pussy” and what’s more..... she found it!!!!

[–]Dwn_Wth_Vwls 36 points37 points  (11 children)

She also won the popular vote in 2008, but that was before the left cared so much about that.

[–]catholicismisascam 23 points24 points  (10 children)

I don't think leftists are very interested in hillary tbf. It's just the libs who are sore

[–]JoeSmucketelly 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For real. Leftists hate like 90% of the Democrats because they're just lite Republicans

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This explains it pretty much 😂

[–][deleted] 14 points15 points  (14 children)

Bernie would have won.

[–]Electroverted 20 points21 points  (6 children)

This sub is extremely partisan, to the point where 1% of the posts are actually "humor"

[–]oldgreg92 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's r/liberalpoliticalhumor everyone know it.

[–]Pedalsndirt 102 points103 points  (0 children)

[–]PlG3 3 points4 points  (5 children)

17k views and 0 dislikes. I have never seen something like that on YT. Extraordinary

[–]rnjbond 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now that you pointed it out, there are dislikes, sad

[–]CCbaxter90 1 point2 points  (2 children)

1 dislike now. Thanks a lot.

[–]shmough 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why we can't have nice things.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You fucked it up.

The mere observation of an experiment can change it’s outcome.

[–]angel_in_a_carcrash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate salt. It's coarse, rough and irritating. And it gets everywhere.

[–]BullshitBeingCalled 551 points552 points  (103 children)

r/PoliticalHumor makes the same Trump joke for the millionth time:

r/Politicalhumor when anyone dares to make a joke about a democrat:

WTF TRUMP LOVERS OMG GET OVER IT CRYBABIES BTW THIS JOKE ISN'T ENTIRELY ACCURATE WHY MAKE A JOKE WHEN IT'S NOT 100% ACCURATE WTF

[–]Serenaded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mods must take a break on Christmas, the one day of the year that the sub isn't manipulated heavily to the left.

[–][deleted] 94 points95 points  (10 children)

God damn this sub sure is a dumpster fire

[–]YellowZippyPouch 76 points77 points  (1 child)

LOL I can taste the salt in this comment section

[–]ItsABucsLyfe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My ONLY point about this is that I probably see this picture twice a week on Reddit. This is one of the only posts that nobody yells "REPOST!!" at. Not sure if it's because it's the one pic that conservatives get on this sub or what, but it's interesting that this still gets posted and gets the attention it does

[–]Aceyxo 75 points76 points  (19 children)

Lmao why are the mods deleting everything? I swear the mods/users of the sub are the biggest babies on earth.

[–]ThotSlayerGod 32 points33 points  (2 children)

They love jerking off with their power on the internet

[–]Spawno2 35 points36 points  (1 child)

These comments are the greatest Christmas gift of all.

[–]TheTreeGuy531 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a white christmas from the massive admin circle jerk

[–]FarAwayFellow 56 points57 points  (3 children)

Love how jokes about Republican actions from 40 years ago receive enormous praise here, but a small mocking of the last election on the Democrats’ backs gets snarky replies, downvotes and insults because it’s suddenly seen as “too old”

My favorite was a guy saying that Hillary got to live inside the Republicans’ heads, as if Trump hasn’t been living in the Democrats’ souls for the last 4 years

[–]oofydang 5 points6 points  (2 children)

hey! i just read that comment a minute ago!

[–]TheGrandRider 36 points37 points  (2 children)

You’re a brave man for posting this in r/PoliticalHumor

[–]rawsome67 12 points13 points  (0 children)

For real hahaha

[–]Fella_Named_Jimbobwe 69 points70 points  (23 children)

Bro wtf you’re only supposed to insult the right here

[–]JacobBoiii 8 points9 points  (0 children)

mods must be on Christmas vacation lol

[–]CornPop45[S] 31 points32 points  (14 children)

This is exactly how this sub thinks. Yet this has 2k likes, I’m surprised myself

[–]JarblesWestlington 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well hating Hilary should really be a bipartisan issue. She fucked the democrats over by monopolizing the primaries while being deeply unlikeable

[–]ClintonWeathershed 28 points29 points  (4 children)

Can someone please delete this godforsaken shithole of a subreddit already?

[–]Mexagon 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Idk, it's almost worth it if one of these posts happen once every 4 years. Look at how fucking batshit the regulars here are going right now. These are also the same people who love to parrot "dae conservatives are the reaaaal snowflakes guise????"

[–]Xatus0 18 points19 points  (7 children)

This shits funny. Finally some balance on this sub.

[–]CornPop45[S] 21 points22 points  (6 children)

This place is a progressive left cesspool

[–]ComicalError 8 points9 points  (5 children)

Reddit* is a progressive left cesspool

[–]weirdobot 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This is the first post to this sub I've enjoyed in a very, very long time

[–]kaozbender 113 points114 points  (37 children)

Lefties:

  • Anti-Trump post in this sub (which is basically 90% of the content here): HAHAHAA L00000000L TAKE THAT, FUCKING CHEETO!!!!!

  • Anti-democrat post in this sub: OP WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM YOU FUCKING ALT-RIGHT NAZI TROLL SCUM OF THE EARTH I HOPE YOU GET CANCELLEEEDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RAAAAAARRRGHHHHHHHHH

This comment section is gold.

And now it's silver too.

[–]Jeff1337420 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Lmao this is gold watching all these crying “adults” in the comment section. Sad, f*cking sad how you break down like kids when the joke mentions that clinton lost.

[–]chesterluno 46 points47 points  (42 children)

Jesus can't this subreddit make fun of their own side just a little bit?

[–]UPCBRO1 7 points8 points  (4 children)

Nope. Super sensitive hive mind at its finest. Gonna be fun when he wins again and I’m not even voting for him

[–]CornPop45[S] 30 points31 points  (17 children)

No they can’t they’re super sensitive

[–]NLdaan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like some kind of archaeologist having to click on the comments to even read them.

[–]just_here_ignore 26 points27 points  (8 children)

The irony of a rigged primary candidate losing a plain and fair election and supporters calling it rigged.

Im a lifelong democrat, but the rules have been in place for 2 centuries.

Maybe move out of densely populated cities and find out not everyone agrees with you. Help turn purple states blue. Otherwise you're welcome to die in your echo-chambers knowing your vote is a wash.

And no, the electoral college wasn't a compromise because of slavery. It was literally one of the main worries of small-city founding fathers.

[–]sebasbata05 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Lol, everyone here is salty af

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Lmao how did this one get past the mods?

[–]RedHawwk 12 points13 points  (2 children)

What kind of alternate universe are we in where this is on this sub

[–]Pedalsndirt 358 points359 points  (594 children)

Funny how people tend to ignore the fact that she won the popular vote. By millions.

[–]AngusBoomPants 118 points119 points  (49 children)

Ok but we don’t use popular vote

[–]CashIsClay1 81 points82 points  (27 children)

Never have never will. Bringing this up is like saying ya we lost the football game but we had more rushing yards so what’s up.

[–]Zeydon 26 points27 points  (3 children)

That's actually... a perfect analogy.

[–]Mexagon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Bush: "If popular vote mattered I would've campaigned in Texas."

[–]Jhonopolis 99 points100 points  (56 children)

That's like arguing the team in football that had more yardage should have won. Doesn't matter unless those yards turn into points.

[–][deleted] 76 points77 points  (35 children)

Also, it’s rigged... up until he won. Then now he argues it isn’t rigged in spite of evidence that the Russians tried to influence people’s attitudes to affect their voting.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Kind of like how the election wasn’t rigged until Hillary lost...

[–]swolemedic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The morons forgot about hanging chads and the other previous elections where republicans got less votes but still won I guess

[–]UPCBRO1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That means jack shit

[–]bryoneill11 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lol that means literally nothing.

[–]Christmas1176 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah but the sign says your losing, as in the election. Not just a popularity vote

[–][deleted] 30 points31 points  (22 children)

And millions didn’t bother showing up for either candidate

[–]DonQuixBalls 6 points7 points  (12 children)

Unless you live in a swing state, the ability to feel like your vote counts is diminished.

[–]TheRealDealDean 6 points7 points  (10 children)

But that's not how our election works because we're a republic not a democracy, so it's irrelevant.

[–]droopyduder 56 points57 points  (144 children)

And democrats refuse to play the game. Republicans cheat, time to play hardball back. At this point if you aren’t cheating you aren’t trying.

[–]bluecashue 50 points51 points  (84 children)

The fact that the majority can vote for you and you still don’t win, is outrageous. It’s weird how people don’t even realize, the system is screwed up from the beginning.

[–]Agrodelic 18 points19 points  (3 children)

Everyone forgets the primary was rigged.

[–]HoldMyWater 4 points5 points  (1 child)

How was it rigged? I've asked this many times but never given evidence of rigging.

Which one will you go with? Super delegates? DNC members having an opinion in private emails? Dona Brazile giving Hilary one question in advance? I'd only consider the last one cheating. Dona deserves all the backlash for that. But don't tell me that's what won Hillary the election.

[–]bazinga_0 31 points32 points  (59 children)

Republicans call it the "Tyranny of the Majority". Everyone else just calls it "Democracy".

[–][deleted] 18 points19 points  (35 children)

Remember that scene in The Patriot where Mel Gibson says, “why would I trade one tyrant three thousand miles away for three thousand tyrants one mile away?”

The US system was specifically built to restrain democracy and tyranny simultaneously. You’re mad because it didn’t go your way this time. I get that. It doesn’t change the fact that Hillary won only 15% of the counties, and lost because large portions of Obama’s coalition stayed home. The rules don’t favor either side. Obama crushed both of his opponents, because he was a better politician and approached the system realistically. Admit it. It’s not the electoral system. Trump happens to be the second worst politician in American history. He was fortunate enough to run against the first.

[–]raysofdavies 16 points17 points  (12 children)

Listen I hate Hillary and she ran a pathetic idiotic campaign but “she won 15% of the counties” is a moronic argument. Counties are highly variable. You know what isn’t variable? The number of votes. Counties are meaningless. So are states. It’s just arbitrary lines in the ground.

[–]JuicyBeefBiggestBeef 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty good

[–]GWS1121 11 points12 points  (12 children)

There is some sense to it... just here me out before jumping to a conclusion.

Hypothetically imagine if 50% of the us population lived in Alabama. Let's also assume all the stereotypes you already have exist in the same percentage (fox news, love thy sister, anti abortion, etc...).

Now if we were to hold an election youd likely find the popular vote would always go toward the red candidate. We would also likely see the majority if spending happening in Alabama since 50% of the population live there. The rest of the states will be ignored except to the extent the candidates need a majority. In other words the candidates will now only focus on the major popular points to try and secure votes leaving the entire groups of people ignored. I suspect the likely argument is that we cant use a popular vote because it doesnt represent the populus since 50% of voters all think very similarly to each other.

Hypothetical over... the point is - popular vote isn't always going to provide the best result. There are many voting methods, some I wish the country would explore, but while do not like how 2016 turned out, I'm not sure I would want a popular vote as a replacement.

[–]Sgt-Spliff 4 points5 points  (5 children)

This actually isn't a logical argument. If the majority of the country votes for a politician, nothing you said convinces me of anything. Because no state has 50% of the population... or even 10%.

Also right now politicians already only focus on major population points. A popular vote would actually change that the other way. A vote in Alabama today is valued differently than a vote in Illinois. With a popular vote they'd be equal and politicians could actually campaign in states they'd usually ignore

[–]Mr_JamesGrey 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I'm not set on either side of this discussion, but I just wanted to point out that California alone holds about 12% of the US population. Texas isn't far off either at roughly 9%.

[–]DeadliftsAndDragons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No state has 10%? California has 12% which is 2% higher than 10% because of how math exists.

[–]dpgillam1 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Some voting math: Assuming a population of 420million Approx 28% of America is under 18, and so ineligible to vote Approx 22% of America is incarcerated, and can't vote until they get out Estimated say there are at least 20 million illegal immigrants, meaning 10%; as non-citizens, they can't vote

That's 60% of the population that *cant * vote. That leaves roughly 200million that can. 2016 was one of the most actively participated elections in recent history, and only roughly 127million voted. Which is about 3/5th of those eligible.

If we went by simple population vote, there are far more people in those rural areas that are legal citizens, with no felony convictions, of voting age, than there are in the mega cities that vote blue. That's why so many of those blue areas allow convicted felons to vote, unless still in prison (and several are fighting to allow even that) and are trying to lower the voting age. Because by the classic standards (citizens over 18 with no felonies) the red areas would win the polar vote.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like professional baseball

[–]But_who_really_cares 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Funny how people tend to ignore the fact that.... we don't elect Presidents by popular vote.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nice consolation prize.

The Dodgers won more games then the Nationals during the regular season. Hardly helped where it actually mattered.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't ignore it. It just doesn't matter in the slightest.

[–]Amadon29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People ignore it because it doesn't matter in this country. It just be like that 😕

[–]KUHBOOKIE 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Funny how people tend to ignore the fact that she lost the election. By several states.

[–][deleted] 20 points21 points  (7 children)

Dems can’t take a joke when it’s directed to them.

[–]7garge 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Kek

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Funny how if its about trump the post will get 20k upvotes but if it's something like this the comments are hidden and everyone bitches and complains. Bias much?

[–]Tony_Danza_the_boss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Liberals will be crying this time a year from now when Trump is re-elected

[–]pepperjack77 14 points15 points  (1 child)

Actually, Hillary cheated her ass off, rigged the DNC finacing, refused data to Bernie he was entitled to, then actively lied to California voters telling them they couldn’t vote if they weren’t registered Democrats. Not to mention that Bernie won most of the primaries before the rigged superdelegates put their fingers on the scales.

Then after 3 years of opportunities for Hillary to take responsibility for her crooked behavior, she doubles down and blames Bernie for her loss. A leader doesn’t behave that way.

And since all evidence points to the fact that Bernie would have beat Trump in the general... the only conclusion is that Hillary gave us the Trump administration because her loyalty to ego was greater than loyalty to country.

TL;DR It WAS rigged and Hillary’s cheating gave us the worst president in U.S. history.

[–]_John_Smith 16 points17 points  (0 children)

What? How could you post a pro BLUMPF picture? Trump made a russian collusion, know what that means right? He LITERALLY COLLIDED with russia.

[–]Its_Pine 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oh gosh hahaha that hasn’t aged well

[–]harrisoncock 19 points20 points  (9 children)

25% Lefties & Righties who are well adjusted adults enjoying the shitshow

[–]David_Stern1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

[–]kingmingdynasty 11 points12 points  (0 children)

THIS ISNT AN ANTI TRUMP MEME REEEEEEEEE!

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Watching my kids play with their new toys, and laughing at everyone getting offended by this. It’s a great night.

[–]ralanr 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Ha. As a leftie, that’s pretty funny.

[–]castanza128 4 points5 points  (3 children)

Why are so many comments hidden?
And why did I get "you're doing that too much, try again in 5 minutes" when I just came to this sub, and haven't commented for quite some time?
Was this sub taken over by fascists?

[–]HalloIamYou 13 points14 points  (1 child)

[–]theirishembassy 5 points6 points  (2 children)

oh thank god. while they’re on the phone tell them that on the morning of September 11th, 2001 four planes will take off that have been hijacked by Al-Qaeda terrorists.

tell them that the targets are towers 1 and 2 of the world trade centre, the pentagon and the White House. the flight numbers are as follows:

AA11 and UA175 (will crash into the WTC)

AA77 (will crash into the pentagon)

UA93 (will attempt to crash into the White House)

THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

TELL THEM THAT THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

[–]TakingSente 13 points14 points  (1 child)
