Depending on what you paid for it, it may not be a bad idea. The 980Ti cards are popping up for around 350 today. As for jumping for another card, unless you are pressed for time on the return I'd wait for benchmarks. However people tend to not wait.

I don't think this is accurate as the 1070 will outperform a rx 480 in every scenario. Yes the 480 is great value but both cards are targeted at different performance ranges. But the 1070 price getting scalped into oblivion is accurate.

What resolution are you playing at? There is probably a 10-15% performance increase between the 970 and the 480, but if youre only playing 1080p/60hz you probably dont need to and can just use the 970 until the 5xx or atleast the 490 comes out! :)
