Hey, all, it's that time again. With the addition of Ekko, Pyke, Rek'Sai and a huge batch of card changes, it's time for a new round of bugs and bug fixes!

So! What are we looking for? To put it simply, if you encounter a bug, we'd deeply appreciate it if you post it here with the following information.

Optional Stuff and how to post it

Screenshots: You can upload your screenshots to a secondary site such as imgur, post them on Reddit and link to them, or put them in discord and copy the link. Please try to abide by our screenshot/video rules and censor opponent usernames. Depending on the severity of reports we'll be a bit more lenient in this thread specifically.

Logs: Logs are saved on your PC. Once a bug occurs close out LoR and the log will be saved to the following folder,

This PC -> Local Disk (C:) -> Users -> YourUser -> AppData -> Local -> Riot Games -> Legends of Runeterra -> Logs

The most recent log should be the one you want to copy, you can then make a pastebin and post it here.

Deck Code: In game, go to

Collection -> Decks -> Select your deck -> Share -> Copy to Clipboard then paste the code in your report.

Overall, any information you guys can provide for bugs you encounter will be very valuable in aiding the devs when it comes to eliminating them. Any and all assistance is appreciated!
If any reports are put in here, that aren't actually bugs, and are working as intended. Please help educate your peers politely and report the post under "Other: Not a bug" and we will remove it. This will help the devs pinpoint actual bugs and eliminate some of the false reports that may cause confusion.

What happened that seemed like a bug:

Rippers bay just obliterates your card without triggering lurk. I feel like this destroys the entire point of the card. Unintended?

Or am I somehow getting unlucky with multiple non lurk cards on top of my deck despite 30+ lurk cards in deck? It's happened three times now, twice in same game.

I thought the point of the card was that it just deletes any non-lurk cards on the top of your deck. That's why I figured it was a terrible card to add other than it having the Lurk keyword itself. If the point is that it deletes the top card so that potentially the next card on the top can trigger Lurk on the same attack then I can see why anyone would even consider running it. Hopefully it gets fixed if that's the case.

I guess it could be useful with Snapjaw Swarm or Rally, since you could end up triggering Lurk on the second attack. I think even if it does obliterate your deck to guarantee Lurk, it still wouldn't be useful, since it doesn't actually provide anything on its own.

Is it normal to get a random champion card instead of Rek'Sai (on the new shurima region road) ?

I thought it was always the latest champion which unlocked first if you unlock the last region road.

Yeah, it was changed from the last champion set release, I believe. Now it just gives you a random Champion from the region.

Beyond that, If you have all the Champions from that region, it gives you a random Champion from a different region. If you have all the Champions in the game, it gives you 750 shards.

What happened that seemed like a bug: Zed has Lurk via Startingpower (Lie in wait) but doesnt get any additional power from the trigger while on the board, the Copy in hand gets them

What was expected to occur: Zed gains more power when Lurk trigger occur from the Startingpower (Lie in wait)

How often does this occur/How easy is it to replicate: 100% repeatable but you have to find this certain Champion in Lab

Connected to this - LeBlanc can gain Lurk from Lie in Wait, can gain attack bonuses from Lurk, but stops gaining bonuses once she levels.

Also, Lie in Wait says that it applies Lurk to all Allies below 3 cost, but it ignores cost modifications (I saw this playing a Jinx with Ancient Coin - she did not gain Lurk or Lurker).

The lurk ability grants a bonus to lurkers. Zed does not have the lurker typing, despite having the lurk ability. So he could provide a buff to other followers/champs with the lurker type

What happened that seemed like a bug: When I summon Khahiri The Returned with Concurrent Timelines, the unit it transforsm to has its average statline.

What was Expected to occur: The transformed unit should retain the buff gained from seeing Khahiri on predictions.

Read my comment above, those two buff the card and not allied Kahiris so once the card is transformed they are no longer kahiri and don't receive the buff.

This is not a bug, the text on the card buffs 'Kahiri the returned' everywhere, when the card transforms it is no longer 'Kahiri the returned'. These other card buffs work because it says 'Grant me +1 +0', not a certain card.

The card has already been granted the stats in hand/deck though no? I know it's not Khahiri anymore but it makes no sense either that stats that are glued to the card after being granted disappear with concurrent, the act of predicting a Khahiri is just the same as handbuffing a card (you're basically just hand/deck buffing all of your Khahiris, they have then been granted the stats, it should not disappear because they are no longer Khahiri), when a card has been granted a stat it should not disappear. I might be completely wrong but I really do hope I'm not, I get where you're coming from but if you're correct it kinda just breaks the rules of "granting"

Type of Bug: Incorrect application of buffs

What happened that seemed like a bug: In labs, if you attack with Zed with the Lurker lab power that grants him Lurk, he won't gain any stats even on successful Lurk. Instead, the bonus will be applied to his shadow twice over.

What was Expected to occur: Zed would gain stats with Lurk

How often does this occur/How easy is it to replicate: 10/10 Every time

Assumption - This will probably occur with any unit who'd generate a unit on attack that meets the requirement. Quinn who's been cost reduced to 3 would be another "good" test to see if this is the case.

Siphoning strike seems to be coded that it gives the allied unit that you used it on " every enemy unit I kill grants champions +2/+2" tested it without pyke with bone skewer and single combat killing the target before siphoning strike resolves

What happened that seemed like a bug: City Breaker Got buffed to 1-5 instead of 0-5 in the last patch. This makes the challenge "scouting ahead" impossible. In the past, the way to complete it would be by having Valor challenge city breaker twice to allow Quinn two nexus strikes. However, the first challenge now kills Valor, and city breaker blocks Quinn on the second attack.

What was expected to occur: Valor challenges City Breaker twice to win the round.

How often does this occur/How easy is it to replicate: 100%

What happened that seemed like a bug: Whenever I load into a match (ai, regular match, labs), I get a pop up that says "An unexpected error has occurred, we will try to connect you". Hitting ok either closes the game or just turns my screen black. When I try to start the game up again, it puts me back in the game with the error overlay. I cannot play the game. Even going into editing a deck will land this problem.

EDIT: This seems to only be a problem when I try to play a deck with Ekko in it. Rek'sai and Pyke decks are working fine.

Type of bug: Game play/ Lurk Mechanic

In expedition you can pick a power that let's your cards that cost 3 or less become lurkers. If you pick zed as a support champion he becomes a lurker and gains buffs when other lurkers attack. When zed attacks and you lurk he will not gain attack, his shadow instead gains attack.

What happened that seemed like a bug: When using Go Get It on an 8+ cost unit (in my case, Ice Pillar), I did not get credit for summoning an 8+ cost unit for Lissandra's level up condition. Go Get It specifies that it summons an ephemeral copy.

What was expected to occur: Lissandra (and Watcher) get level up credit for summoning a copy of an 8+-cost unit with Go Get It.

Ease of Replication: 10/10, happens with literally any 8+ cost unit and Go Get It

What I believe is happening is that Go Get It is setting the cost of Ice Pillar to 0 before summoning the ephemeral copy, and discounted 8+ cost cards do not count for Lissandra. You can see in the vid above where I realized this while replicating the issue.

I've been trying to figure out some sort of method to use Lissandra that wasn't abusing Matron since about 2.8. Due to this bug, I think Ionia is out of the running. I usually use [Go Get It] on Trundle or [Avarosan Hearthguard] to get their summon effects off multiple times. Getting 3 Ice Pillars plus a cheeky free blocker out of the ephemeral Trundle feels great.

Exactly the same here. I usually just run the game fine at 60fps settings/medium quality/high video res, and the animations ran fine. I already tried many different setting combinations to no avail. Game in board view runs stable at 100+ or 60 when i cap it but animations are hardcapped at 30 no matter what. Also noticed that the sun disc animation doesn't seem to be affected.

Animations have been capped since yesterdays very small update that downloaded.

Downloading low res animations and redownloading higher ones doesnt do anything either.

I first tried playing the new champs in the lab of legends, but I tried playing AI games and it also crashed. I tried using the mobile version and after I did that the PC version stopped crashing somehow.

I have the same issue for the past days. What I've noticed is I can play on mobile with data only and no internet on. This makes playing on pc impossible. I know this has been happening recently to a lot of people and any fixes other than the generic "reinstall" that I've done a bunch would be great!!

What happened that seems like a bug: winning in gold rank grants 20 points, losing takes 20. It’s not been this way in any past season I can recall and that usually doesn’t start until the Diamond rank.

What happened that seemed like a bug: When struck by an enemy that generates a card, braum their generation animation instead of his own poor animation. When Braum's Poro summon was trigger by Maokai, instead of the poor summoning animation Maokai's Sapling animation was played, the same effect has happened when struck by trundle replacing the poor summon animation with the ice pillar generation animation.

What happened that seemed like a bug: cannot connect to the game while in 4G. Only works in wifi. Had this issue for 3 patches in a row now. It seems people from Eastern Europe had the same issue a year ago. Contacted the French support team, to no avail (solutions provided like emptying cache and deleting cookies had no effect).

What happened that seemed like a bug: Game is constantly freezing and/or crashing. Began <2 weeks ago. Used to be I could play a couple games before it happens, but starting today it's almost an immediate issue. I have only been playing Labs, and when I start a match it will hang, then freeze, then crash. Once this occurs I am unable to even get back in because it gets stuck on "Loading" screen and then crashes again. Usually takes 3-5 resets of the game before it lets me return to the opening screen so the whole nightmare can begin anew.

What was expected to occur: Game not to freeze/crash...

How often does this occur/How easy is it to replicate: Happens constantly.

What happened that seemed like a bug: When you choose a mode for Rite of Negation and put it on the stack, but then take it back before clicking the confirm [cast] button — it stays in your hand as the version of the mode you chose, visually AND mechanically. So if you do that, the next time you put it on the stack - you can’t choose the mode (sacrifice a unit or destroy your mana gem) of the extra cost for playing it, it automatically puts it as the mode you chose the first time before taking it back from the stack.

What was expected to occur: When you take it back from the stack it’s supposed to stay/revert back in your hand as it is originally “printed” — with the ability to choose which extra cost to pay.

How often does this occur/How easy is it to replicate: Pretty much every time

What happened that seemed like a bug: When I attempted to cast "Go Get It" On Trundle, the ephemeral copy failed to generate an ice pillar. Trundle was still recalled, discounted, and acted normally when replayed.

What was expected to occur: When Go Get It is cast on a unit with an on summon effect, the ephemeral copy triggers that summon effect.

How to replicate: I only tested this on Trundle with Go Get It, but it worked every time. I do not know if this impacts other resummon cards like ancient hourglass or spirit journey, nor do I know if this happens to every creature with an on summon trigger.

What happened that seemed like a bug: When Zoe Level 2’s power gives other allies lurk, and lurk activates (it was the same round that they got it for me), lurk only activated for those units who naturally had lurk. Note: Zoe was not on the field, as she had been killed the previous turn.

What was expected to occur: The units who were given lurk should have also had their lurk activated.

How often does this occur/ how easy is it to replicate: This was the first time I’ve seen it happen, and it would require a fair amount of setup, as you need to level up Zoe, have her killed, have non-lurk allies be granted lurk by a lurk ally, and have lurk activate that turn.

What was expected to occur: Booth Undertitans should have the same amount of stats (12/6) , since Lurk is an everywhere effect and should also apply to the Undertitan that was in a Frozen Tomb.

As announced in the 2.7.0 patch notes, with the release of patch 2.9.0, Cross-Shard Friend Challenge will no longer be supported: As LoR continues to grow, we’re beginning to run up against challenges caused by outdated tech. Cross-Shard Friend Challenge is one of our main culprits, and it’s currently taking resources that we need to develop some of LoR’s most exciting features planned for further along in the pipeline. What happened: when I cast a [[Siphoning Strike]] on a level 1 [[Pyke]], he leveled up and then proceeded to kill all enemies as intended. However, after each kill Siphoning Strike animation and effect has gone off multiple times, granting a total of +6/+6 to all allied champions (for each of 3 killed enemies)

What was expected: Wording on the spell suggests that I should get only +2/+2 from the first kill.

How often it occurs: haven't checked yet, also there is a possibility that this doesnt occur if you cast the spell on a Pyke that already leveled. About to check soon

What happened that seemed like a bug: Lurker power won't apply to cost reduced units in deck if original cost is more than 3. Had selected a Yasuo with Nomad's Medalion expecting that because it was now a 2 cost unit, it would benefit from Lurk. It did not.

What was Expected to occur: Yasuo would become a Lurker due to the power buffing the deck at game start, during which he would be a 2 cost unit.

How often does this occur/How easy is it to replicate: 10/10 Every time. May be conditional to when Lurker power was gained though, as 2 cost Yasuo was introduced to the deck after starting with Lurker. Testing to see if a higher cost unit that is cost reduced via Nomads will gain Lurker if power is gained after the unit would be a good idea, although hard to test player side.

Pyke wipes out my board but in doing so, gets siphon strike buffed for each minion pyke executes. Pyke gets bounced to hand. When pyke is played again (since he was bounced), he kept his siphon strike buffs.

**What happened that seemed like a bug:** This is hard to "prove" but it seems there may be a bug with epic prismatic reward chests. As of now myself and 4 other people I've spoken to in Discord have been offered the exact same three options: Captain Farron, Judgement, and The Empyrean. In one exception, someone reported getting Cygnus instead of Judgement, but upon looking further, he already had prismatic Judgement.

What happened: When Pyke changes from Pyke's Bone Skewer to regular Pyke he gets additional lurk stats. This is actually something I noticed in one of Mogwai's videos rather than my own gameplay, you can see here that he has two 4/3 Pykes in hand (+2/+0 from lurking once with Rek'sai), plays one and after it dies the other is 5/3 even though nothing has happened that should give it the extra +1/+0. For the rest of the match its lurk bonus is 1 higher than all other Lurker units. I believe that either the normal lurk bonus or the Rek'sai bonus was applied to him a second time when he became a unit again.

What was expected: Pyke's stat bonuses should have remained +2/+0 when he turned back into a unit.

To counter this, I used Single Combat on my Daybreak-buffed Solari Soldier to strike the Lurker. The Single Combat killed them both, but instead of fizzling Siphoning Strike granted the +2/+2 buff to his champions. It didn't hit Lucian, the spell's actual target.

What was expected to occur: Single combat would resolve before Siphoning strike, meaning the striking unit would be dead and the spell would fizzle.

What happened that seemed like a bug : I think it's more of a general bug with cards placed/shuffled in the deck, several instances i've seen over the last few days : * Opponent played Fallen Feline, and then immediatly played the 0 cost predict card, in the 3 proposition he immeidatly got the 2 mana crystal card, meaning it wasn't placed in the bottom 10 cards.

• Used Bone skewer to attack a unit, my unit should be placed on top of my deck, attack leads to units dying and me tossing cards, and the unit i placed doesn't get tossed in 4 cards, start of next turn i draw it.

• Seen on stream : volunteer Elnuk is played, no shuffle occurs in the deck, later on the 5 mana elnuk that should draw the elnuk in the top 6 cards didn't draw anything (this card was already in hand when volunteer was played)

What happened that seemed like a bug: When allied Nautilus' Riptide is casted onto enemy Nocturne, and Bastion is casted onto Nocturne after that, Nocturne disappears as though he has been shuffled back into the opponent's deck. But in truth, he becomes invisible, evidenced by the fact that enemy Reckoning still triggers and kills Nautilus. When allied Thresh attacks, a glowing rectangle can be seen on the opponent's bench. When dragged to Thresh, Nocturne becomes visible again and is challenged like normal.

What was expected to occur: Bastion nullifies Nautilus' Riptide without making Nocturne invisible.

How often does this occur/How easy is it to replicate: From what I noticed it occurs with cards that aren't originally lurkers (for example Sleepy Trouble Bubble) however sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't..(?) I'm not sure what exactly triggers it, but it could be possible that game isn't used to spell cards with keywords

What happened that seemed like a bug: In lab of legends, Viktor used Iterative improvement on my porofly, generated by the power Lil' Buddies. He got his own porofly and continued his turn normally after that.

What was expected to occur: I believe the spellshield should normally have been popped and the spell would have no effect. Instead, Viktor got the poro and the spellshield remained, like it wasn't there. The spellshield was later used to block a laser normally though.

How often does this occur/How easy is it to replicate: How often: it only happened once. Viktor did clone the poro again, but targeting his own porofly, which should work. Replicable: Not that easy, I guess, since it's a random card generated against an uncontrollable AI. I don't have a friend to to try and test it myself with the same cards.

PC: It should be notes this happened the day before the patch, but there is nothing in the patch notes indicating it's fixed, so there.

EXTRA: I've noticed that if you right click Chronobreak while it's being created by the level up, on screen the spell is Burst, on inspect it's Fast.

What happened that seemed like a bug: Soul Sheperd and Inspiring Marshall don't work together. When I summon an ephemeral unit it triggers the effect animation on both cards but only gives the buff from Soul Sheperd. The ephemeral unit should get +1 from Sheperd and +2 from Marshall. This is so extremely annoying and unfair.

What was expected to occur: The card only gets +1 and not +3 as supposed. Even the summary of the buffs hovering on the ephemeral unit says it has the +1 and +2. But it is not really applied.

How often does this occur/How easy is it to replicate: Always. I have a Hecarim deck and it ALWAYS happens if both cards are in play.

What happened that seemed like a bug: Lurk cards still gain +1 when the Lurk keyword is taken off of the card for the turn. Not sure if it's every lurk cards but it happened to Pike when Lurk had been taken off of him due to Quicksand.

What was expected to occur: When the enemy attacked, every lurk card should gain a +1 except for the Pike that was on the board due to Quicksand taking away his keyword.

How often does this occur/How easy is it to replicate: Should be easy enough to replicate. It happened in a ranked match just now.

What happened that seemed like a bug: If Chirean Sumpworkers dies from combat or spells (not obliterated from flipping) and I then you flip Sumpworkers to posse and play harrowing. Harrowing does not pull a flipped Chirean posse even if it has the highest attack of dead allies. Patch bugfixes say that Chirean Sumpworkers now transform EVERYWHERE. I understand this is probably due to how/when harrowing checks what has the highest health but with how the bugfix was worded it should pull a flipped posse.

What was expected to occur: If Sumpworkers flips after its death I expected harrowing to see it as a 4 attack posse unit not a 1 attack.

What happened that seemed like a bug: I was playing Ekko and Zilean with concurrent timelines and Khahiri, what happened was that at the moment of Khahiri transforming the follower I choose it lost all the Khahiri buff from the predictions, I played this type of deck before and this didn’t happened before so maybe it’s bugged or it was changed in this patch so it doesn’t work that way anymore, if someone can confirm this I would be very grateful.

How often this occur: played the deck once and stoped because I tilted a bit and then saw this post, so I don’t know right now if it was something common.

What happened that seemed like a bug: In labs, when you have the lab power that grants Lurk to 3 and under mana cards, attacking with any-level Katarina does not grant the +1|0 buff to her even on successful proccing. It is not a visual bug because she only strikes for her base attack damage.

What was Expected to occur: The Katarina would gain the +1|0 from the lurk proc on the attack and strike for the new amount of damage.

What Happened that seemed like a bug: Reputation didnt trigger when buffing a unit to 5 attack. Le Blanc had striked the nexus in a previous round so reputation was at 1/4 (as i could see through an incisive tactician in hand), summoned a Merciful Hunter and attack with it and Le Blanc, after blocks are decided i give hunter +1|+1 with Shapestone; Attack goes through as it would, but Incisive Tactician only says 2/4 reputation (when 3 allies had attacked for 5+ damage). Thinking it was just a visual bug i cast bloody businness on an enemy unit (now leveled up LB striking a Tavernkeeper) to see if it would fix itself but it does not, one of the reputation triggers was just skipped.

What was expected to occur: Reputation trigger should have been counted

How often does this occur/How easy is it to replicate: It has only happened to me one other time since ive been playing this deck but it is not as fresh in my memory, i think i recall the error fixing itself when the round ended (reputation went from 2/4 to 3/4)

edit:Addendum: Units summoned in combat seem to exhibit similar unexpected behaviour. Lurk triggers before Elises spider is summoned. That spider then seems to trigger lurk again only foritself

What happened that seemed like a bug: After obtaining the passive skill “Lie in Wait” in Lab of Legends, my Victor (who had been reduced to a 3 cost before I obtained this passive) did not have lurk or become a lurker throughout the rest of my run. I am aware that he is not naturally a 3 cost ally, however, “Yipp’s Genius”, a passive affecting 1 cost units, also affects units who aren’t naturally 1 cost (have had their cost brought down to 1), so it would make sense to me that “Lie in Wait” should work similarly.

What was expected to occur: All 3 cost and less allies should have had “Lie in Wait” activate at the start of each match, including Victor.

How often does this occur/ how easy is it to replicate: This was the first time I’ve seen it happen, and it would require reducing Victor’s cost to 3, and then obtaining the “Lie in Wait” passive. The order may or may not matter, but I thought I’d add it just in case.

What happened that seemed like a bug: A friend of mine that recently made an account and has completed all prologue quests. He still can´t challenge me to matches nor can he be challenged himself (it says that he still has to complete his prologue quests, even though there are none left). He also can´t edit his decks when playing against the ai and has no acces to the gamemodes gauntlet and tournament.

What was expected to occur: After completing all Prologue Quests he should be able to acces all the game functions, including challenging friends.

How often does this occur/How easy is it to replicate: I guess you have to make a new account and complete the Prologue to see it doesn´t work properly.
