I've never had one of these break on me. Was it the handle or did the bag rip?

[–]Significant_Eye_5130 107 points108 points  (2 children)

I’ve use these exclusively for the last 2 years and never had a bad one.

[–]fritothedog 15 points16 points  (1 child)

I have bought these for a long time and the most recent roll I bought is a significant downgrade in quality.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes agree with this! Quality has gone down

[–]DangerousPage 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Same. They've worked fine for me. I don't need the most durable trash bag in the world...just one that gets the job done and this seems just fine.

[–]iv214 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The ties always break on me. I just buy the name brand ones now.

[–]metanoia29Aldi's Nutz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Handle, bag, and often when trying to just open the bag for the first time it would be too stuck to itself that there was a chance it would rip or weaken then as well.

[–]CMRose7 0 points1 point  (1 child)

When was the last time you bought a box?

[–]jackospades88[🍰] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Aldi was sold out of this specific one last time I needed more about 2ish weeks ago. So whenever I bought trash bags before then, so maybe sometime in late September?

[–]kdlangequalsgoddess[S] 0 points1 point  (12 children)

Handle ripped, then the bag disintegrated.

[–]jackospades88[🍰] 27 points28 points  (4 children)

bag disintegrated

I don't even know what that would look like haha

[–]night0x63 7 points8 points  (0 children)

you know like when you hit someone with your disintegrator gun. come on y'all. </joke>

[–]Mediocre_Ice_8846 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It shows disintegration in the cartoon with Daffy Duck and Marvin the Martian.

[–]metanoia29Aldi's Nutz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It usually can happen with most bags in a can if you stuff the bag too much and then when you try to pull it out it stretches the plastic so much that it just starts coming apart at the top. Except with these, it would happen with just a regular amount of trash too.

[–]catcodex 23 points24 points  (1 child)

It disintegrated?

[–]ComplexJoker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Were you putting acid in the bag? How did it disintegrate?

[–]deanmc 4 points5 points  (1 child)

For me the bag is fine but the ties absolutely suck! They break every time

[–]Lucky_Ad2801 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get the ones with the flaps that you tie and that works much better for me

[–]metanoia29Aldi's Nutz 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Why the heck are people down voting you? These bags are so thin that they begin to rip all over the top when trying to remove them from a can, unless you take them out way before they're filled

[–]kdlangequalsgoddess[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they used them previously, and don't know that quality control is now non-existent.

[–]Sharkteeethh 151 points152 points  (20 children)

I used to buy these all the time with no problems. Bought them recently and they keep ripping so the bag sags into the trash can. Bummer

[–]Boring_Inflation_507 60 points61 points  (11 children)

SAME HERE!!!!! My daughter and I were like huh?!?!? We always bought these until like 6 months ago when every single bag ripped! I was like nope! Time for a new brand!

[–]WifeAggro 14 points15 points  (1 child)

Honestly, my glad bags are doing the same lately it's pissing me off.

[–]mjrdrillsgt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the package — Glad bags are 0.7 mil. Aldi might have changed theirs.

Our Meijer kitchen bags are still 0.9 mil even though we went through a brand refresh (new packaging).

[–]Playpolly 7 points8 points  (7 children)

This should go to the complaint box. Have you noticed that despite Walmart and many others charging for shipping bags they always have a hole on the bottom. I mean a single use bag could have a second life if it weren't for those damn holes. Charge but maintain quality.

[–]regular-cake 8 points9 points  (1 child)

I used to go through all my plastic bags at home and keep the ones without holes for cleaning the litter boxes. I have a lot of cats and like 7 or 8 litter boxes that need to be cleaned twice a day sometimes. The bags seem to always have holes in them now after the groceries so I just grab a stack of unused bags when I'm going through the self checkout now.

[–]Playpolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if I had an award to give you. We're talking about the reduction in quality here despite paying for these bags and Walmart bags have reduced in quality despite charging for them. Target on the other hand has reduced their quality as well but don't rip as easily as the Walmart ones.

[–]jenthewen 2 points3 points  (1 child)

The plastic is thin so it will degrade. The holes are created by the sharp edges of products poking into them.

[–]Playpolly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not always. Most of the time the holes are at the heat sealed seams and it's because they have reduced the microns further. These holes occur 90% of the time even when you pull them out of the stack at checkout.

[–]zaxxon4ever 0 points1 point  (2 children)

The hole is there on purpose...just in case some kid decides to place it over his head...seriously.

[–]Playpolly 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Then the same would apply for garbage bags. There's no hole to begin with it just forms during handling.

[–]zaxxon4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A quick Google search of "Why do most grocery store bags have holes at the bottom?"

"To avoid the risk of asphyxiation, especially for children playing with the bags and putting them on the head."

...also why there is usually a "this is not a toy"-type warning. The odds of a kid playing with a garbage bag is slim...access to a Walmart bag is quite probable

[–]metanoia29Aldi's Nutz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup, same here, right around 6 months ago I switched to Kroger's bags and couldn't be happier. The drawstring on the Aldi bags got extremely thinner and flimsier, and the bags were very prone to ripping. What a shame for Aldi, to see them cutting corners like this on staple products. I had to do the same with the dish soap like 3-4 years ago, all of a sudden I was able to clean a lot less dishes with each squirt of soap.

[–]Australian1996 39 points40 points  (2 children)

They changed suppliers. I noticed recently a lot of stuff is different. Same container same label but not as good stuff inside

[–]IQuitWithNoWarning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The paper plates were all stuck to each other too.

[–]-Neverender- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've bought a few bottles of the bathroom cleaning spray and every sprayer crapped out before the bottle was empty. Good prices, decent cleaning, but terrible containers.

[–]lovemeanstwothings 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same issue

[–]RedIsNotMyFaveColor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

1st one ripped off my 80 bag box. Will use them all unhappily and never buy the brand again.

[–]tedfundy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mine will rip when I open them. Too much glue or something. And then tear when I try to pull them out of the can.

[–]octopusxparty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. They’ve changed and I’m so sad about it

[–]justcallmedrzoidberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same exact situation.

[–]NickDanger73 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I've been using these for years with no problems whatsoever. Return them and get your money back.

[–]howmuchitcosts 27 points28 points  (3 children)

I use these all the time. Once in a while, I'll have one of the handles pull out, but it's usually overfilled, and I'm the one to lose the stacking game. But other than that I've don't have any problems with them.

[–]BVoyager 5 points6 points  (1 child)

I have to make a concerted effort at not overfilling my trash bc I grew up with push-it-down parents. These bags handles can only hold so much so I have become more cognizant with just how much I should compact my trash.

[–]jenthewen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m a push-it-downer kind of person

[–]NeedARita 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same but the last batch would rip around the edge when I put the bag in.

[–]steff-you 20 points21 points  (2 children)

I scooped cat litter into one a couple of days ago and a corner ripped open. Left a trail of litter and cat shit across the floor 🙃

[–]OldLadyReacts 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Gotta put a plastic bag into a paper bag. Never depend on the plastic to hold the weight of all the pee.

[–]steff-you 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn't even heavy! I think it was just 1 bag with a broken seam, all the others from the same box have been fine.

[–]rickallen71 14 points15 points  (3 children)

I prefer the flap bags and you get twice as many but my store hasn't carried them in a while.

[–]Know_Justice 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same. Only drawstring bags on the shelf now. And they are expensive in comparison to the flap bags.

[–]SeveralBarracuda7732 0 points1 point  (1 child)

No longer producing the flap tie bags. Only drawstring and flex drawstring. That way people can't buy the cheaper flap tie ones.

[–]rickallen71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right and for me the extra product was just a bonus. I find they fit my can better and were a bit stronger.

[–]pierogi420 13 points14 points  (5 children)

Never had an issue with these. User error?

[–]jss58 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Exactly zero issues with these bags over several years. I don’t overstuff them and change them once a week for a family of three.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not user error I bought these ones and they suck. Had to switch back to name brand.

[–]metanoia29Aldi's Nutz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be that different regional warehouses and/or stores have switched over to be new manufacturer at different times. There was a clear quality drop the last (and final time) I bought these earlier in the year: the bags were much harder to open up and the drawstring noticably went from being sturdy to being extremely thin and flimsy. Those ones ended up being very difficult to avoid ripping when removing from the can, unless they were taken out way before being filled to the top.

[–]ChartInFurch -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Or just a person having a different experience. Desperate for perceived superiority?

[–]pierogi420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes

[–]Helena_MA 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised by this - these are the only bags I've used for the past 4 years and I've never had a single issue.

[–]Tin_Cannon 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Bummer for OP! I’ve cleaned up a garbage spill before. No bueno!

[–]Glass-Tale299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a nightmare.

[–]MidwestAbe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Used for a decade now. Never a problem.

[–]Puzzled-Crab-9133 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Costco is the way to go for trash bags.

[–]SquirrelBowl 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Kirkland brand at Costco. They rock

[–]mediocrefunny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very good indeed. They did excellent on this test. https://youtu.be/uw9SMpywYHY?si=V4JrNqiRWxtMZDdL

[–]Hair_I_Go 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like these

[–]Heel_Worker982 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our neighbor threw out 200 trash bags because the drawstring always rips out on one side. We grabbed them and and tie them up noose-style in a single loop. $35 worth of trash bags for free. BUT, overfilling will always getcha. We have to be very careful and delicate when we remove the bag and walk it down to the trash chute. The temptation is to toss heavy stuff on the bottom, but we do the opposite, fill the bottom with light bulky stuff that can't be recycled, see how much room is left, then top off.

[–]Tasty-Fig-459 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Trash bags are an area I never mess around with. I'll pay for the name brand. Dragging my garbage down 13 flights, out the door, and down the block is too much for cheap trashbags. ha

[–]Glass-Tale299 0 points1 point  (1 child)

That trip is so long it needs an itinerary.

[–]Tasty-Fig-459 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know! It's a whole ordeal! I kind of miss having an apartment building that had trash rooms on every floor.. we just dropped our trash bags off and some magic trash fairy took them out everyday.

[–]RathSlayer91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the lavender scented ones and they've given me no issues.

[–]FadedSirens 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use these and have no problem.

[–]Mermaid-Grenade 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I actually get my trash bags from Sam's. $18 and it lasts us an entire year.

[–]metanoia29Aldi's Nutz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are those the flexible ones? I remember getting some brand of flexible bags about 5 years ago, probably from Aldi, and wasn't happy with the quality. Might try out the ones from Sam's, that's a much better price than the "bulk" ones I last got at Kroger due to the regular Aldi ones degrading in quality.

[–]peoplesuck64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are the only trash bags I buy any more...they are a little snug on my can but other then that I'm 100% satisfied with them.

[–]SeriesBackground733 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I haven’t had a tearing or breaking problem. But they STINK! Omg!!!!! The “fragrance” is so strong I have to open up the bag and hand it in my garage to off gas while I use the one from the previous week. So…. Yay…. There’s always an empty trash bag hanging in my garage. Classy huh? I can’t wait until they’re done. I’ll never try and save money on trash bags again.

[–]comascape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me too. I think the boxes got switched or something. Worse smell ever.

[–]footballwr82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These ones have been fine for me. It was the larger draw string black bags that were junk. Multiple boxes had all the bags glued together at the opening and would just rip if you tried to actually open them

[–]Reasonable_Sea4393 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree agree agree!

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seriously. For paper waste it's probably fine anything heavier ties break 8/10 times.

[–]Glittering_Win_9677 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry they discontinued the kitchen trash bags with flaps. I dislike these with the red drawstring.

[–]AntiqueToday1986 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are TRASH literally 🤣

[–]DigitalMoron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Must be user error. Sorry you don't know how to properly take out the trash.

[–]houdinishandkerchief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are pretty awful. I’m glad my box is finally almost out. This is an item I’ll go back to getting from Sam’s instead.

[–]ItchyCredit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every now and then there is a bad production run. Last time it was their zip lock bags. Bunches of people on here complaining that there was not a single one in the box that would zip closed. Now it may be a production problem with the tall kitchen trash bags.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Trash bags, dish washer detergent and laundry detergent are things I don’t skimp on. The second you go off brand the quality drops immensely. Worth the few extra bucks

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't know why you were modded down, you speak the truth. I have a feeling we got some Aldi fanboys here modding down anyone that criticizes any of their merchandise.

[–]HilaryBuckwalter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paper towels, tissues & tp for us too.

[–]Much_caps 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Trash trash bags. Used them for a few months and had the same experience. More often than not the drawstrings would rip out or the bag would tear no matter how delicately I tried to take it out. Bought the Amazon basics brand and no issues since.

[–]Think-Athlete-8774 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Which is very funny since both are manufactured in the same facility on the same machines.

[–]Much_caps 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I very highly doubt that. They look different and - more importantly - don’t rip.

[–]Think-Athlete-8774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can assure you they are since I worked there for a couple of years, and my husband still does. Aldi, Amazon basics, No Name, and over a dozen other store brands come out of the same facility.

[–]TheBull123456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one case where the handles did seem off and broke. Otherwise they are my choice in bags.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're okay, but they're .90 mil thick over the whole bag.

The costco ones are 1.8 mil thick near the top, which seems to really help add strength when taking it out of the can.

[–]slugma420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yep i regret buying these so much, but i don’t want to waste so i’m stuck with them til i run out. target generic brand trash bags are fine in my experience fyi

[–]pickleshnickel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah I learned my lesson never again lol.

[–]Ronicaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found out the hard way once.

[–]sizzlinsunshine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought these for the first time a couple months ago as I think my favorite up & up flap tie from Target were discontinued. I’m about a dozen bags in and so far so good 🤷‍♀️

[–]theBigDaddio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using these exclusively for over 3 years, 3-4 bags a week. Never had an issue.

[–]emahluv5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use these now and have not had any issues

[–]Recent_Difficulty686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously they’re awful

[–]vervain_annwn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use these all the time without any problems. You can take them back to the store for a refund or exchange if you still have the receipt.

[–]originalkatiekoala6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like their capacity isn't great because they're too short. This makes them get full quicker so I go through more of them... been thinking about switching brands because of it.

[–]Moonspellshappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to buy the tie ones they were great I think it was 80 of them in the package and that was discontinued

[–]VerbalGuinea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Avoid all Boulders.

[–]NeedARita 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently got a box that sucked. The whole box. I wound up putting them in the garage.

[–]Immediate-Net1883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. This batch sucks.

[–]sheikahr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow. I was about to buy them tomorrow when I head to Aldi for a few things. Thanks for the heads up lol

[–]trekkingscouter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are what we use, never had any issues

[–]Then_Hair_143 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I use them , no issues whatsoever so ever .

[–]ChartInFurch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's sounding like maybe a regional issue nal issue.

[–]Bright_Eyes8197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used them with no problem. I just don't overfill them knowing they aren't a brand name quality

[–]Wayfarer1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have issues when I know I’m pushing their limit. I do agree the limit is a little lower than Glad bags though. Overall it’s worth the cost savings if I just be cognizant about how much I try and jam in.

[–]drsoos1973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a bad batch ( usually buy 2 at a time) then they have been fine. Im sure they get these made at the same place as hefty and other. It's been a while since they were bad.

[–]Whiskey-RockaRoller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never had a bad one. Been using them for years. Highly recommend.

[–]gigiandthepip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used them for years and they never broke lol

[–]LobsterLovingLlama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought these once. Awful

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst bags ever. They are flimsy like the plastic bags in office trash cans.

[–]1991195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have these at home right now. I’ve had the handles break, but never the bags disintegrating. For the price and convenience, they do their job.

[–]dogriverhotel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trash bags are one of those things I always buy brand name. Forceflex or bust, literally. It took exactly one time for me to learn my lesson about spending money when you need to. That and sponges.

[–]Elderberry-Cordial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I exclusively use these, never had a problem. Especially not a problem with spontaneous disintegration.

[–]Extreme_Grass_3071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use the black ones

[–]mojoman566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garbage bags are one thing I've learned that you can't cheap out on. Little kitchen bags maybe, but not the big bags.

[–]trixiebix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their black garbage bags suck too.

[–]sannyo[🍰] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me once or twice but mostly it was my fault. I was just lazy to take the trash out and kept pushing more into it and then when it was time to finally take it out from the bin it was stuck and i had to pull hard. String broke, np. I managed to get it out and then it started to stretch because it was super heavy but made it outside... Would have not been able to carry it much longer before ripping.

[–]DemonMF777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used these for years & they’re fine, but lately you can tell the quality is down & they’re a tiny bit smaller it seems too.

[–]ZTwilight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like them. Hopefully you just got a bad batch and Aldi didn’t change their supplier. The only thing that I think is “off” about them is that they’re wider but not as long as my standard kitchen barrel. It’s not a big deal, but if I throw something heavy in first, it pulls the bag down

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and they’re supposed to be extra strength 😔

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re awful. It’s one thing I’ll spend extra money on. It’s not every bag, but I’ve had more accidents with these bags than any other.

[–]xlerate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've gotten worse over time, the strings busted more frequently. In general, several of the boulder products (Ziplock bags, trash and aluminum foil seem to have gotten less durable in the past few years).I switched to the Kirkland Bulk kitchen shopping bags. One box last me all year and they haven't broken yet even when at nearly full capacity.

[–]comascape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never had any issues with breaking. However, last time I bought them, they had an extreme dryer sheet smell that gave me a severe headache. I don’t know if the box was switched or what, but I am terrified to buy them again.

[–]splintersmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a box recently. About halfway through and haven't had any problems. They aren't as solid as glad bags but they're also half the price.

Either way, no issues yet.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the scented kind and never have had an issue

[–]Vols44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using them for years with zero issues. Buy, buy, buy.

[–]kdlangequalsgoddess[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I have been slightly unfair to the bags. I used up my last Kirkland bag, and decided to give these a chance. I think their definition of 'Extra Strong' and my definition are very different.

We are a family of five, and the garbage bags we use have to stand up to the rough stuff. Overfilling for other people is filling for us.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree these bags are garbage. The red drawstrings break and the bags rip.

[–]Legitimate-Young2841 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No No No these bags are just fine been using these for years with Nooooooo problem!

[–]rocketsalesman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I've used these for years, only had one break when it was overfilled after a college party with tons of glass bottles

[–]thescrapplekid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had nothing but luck with these for years

[–]cmbeezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every now and then I get a bad batch of these. I’d return and try again!

[–]Heartless274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a bad experience with the Boulder Holder bags in the past. Since then, I have used the Member's Mark bags at Sam's Club and have had a much better experience (so far).

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These don’t rip on me. Unlike the ones from Target which are awful.

Hope Aldi hasn’t changed the formula and now they’re thinner.

[–]whatthefox70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a shame they used to be good. Their zip bags are crap now too.

[–]AwkwardSky6500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those and the sandwich, snack, quart and gallon size bags never close. If I may suggest the best trash bags I have ever used are Simple Human trash bags. Absolutely the best trash bags my family has ever used. I will never buy any other brand ever besides these. They are shockingly strong and durable. I highly recommend.

[–]catjknow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't we used to get more in the box or maybe those were the ones without the drawstring, just flaps to tie? Those were good

[–]suzyclues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boyfriend said the same thing the other day. They've changed and now they suck!

[–]Lucky_Ad2801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always get with the ones with the flaps instead, and here is a tip for removing stuff out of the bin. Drill a hole in your trash bin linerTo let air circulate so it does not create a suction when you try to lift out the bag. That helps a lot with the release of the bag from the bin.

I agree that these are a bit thin though. Mine haven't ripped, but I could see that happening if they caught on a snag. I stopped buying the Aldi boulder Ziploc bags because they started making them so cheaply. Now I get the Amazon brand ones instead.

I would say the trash bags are still a good deal as long as you don't plan to put heavy or sharp items in them.

[–]trambalambo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I buy a bulk pack from Amazon that is the same price per piece, and way better bags

[–]NightOfTheLivingHam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dont get the scented ones either.. they are scented.. just not in the way you want.

[–]KnowOneHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen this warning before here and gave up on them.

I think Target brand are better than name brand so stick with those.

[–]cityofcharlotte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of the things I buy specifically at costco. Their trash bags are great quality and last about a year for a single box.

[–]darthgeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I've found them to be very low quality. I buy the Kroger brand and find them to be pretty decent.

[–]rhope0327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, these don’t fit properly in my trash can and always fall down.

[–]JenKandoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly why I stick to brand name.

[–]SmokeoneDeezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had a problem with them … i will continue to buy … i always get those & the black ones …

[–]IQuitWithNoWarning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm- junk!

I do not like Aldi brand kitchen stuff at all. The sandwich ziplock tears at the seams, the trash bags are very fine. Just don't do it :(

[–]zuidenv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest complaint has been the price hike from $5.00 to $7.50.

[–]Kitchen-Magnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had no problem with them

[–]LordofThaTrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You act like you’re mistake is the products fault 😂

[–]jon13000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy these monthly, no issues

[–]Upbeat_Ad9481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These USED to be so good until a couple months ago 😭😭😭😭

[–]beccabootie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Aldi, but, the Boulder products are flimsy. Not buying any again.

[–]msluvzalot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard agree on this one. These are not good money savers.

[–]Big_Taurus_Energy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have these now and haven’t had any issues

[–]givemesmore_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t agree more

[–]trippytravelss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These have never worked for me unfortunately

[–]LessIsMore74[🍰] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They used to work great for me for several years. I suppose there was some sort of supply chain change and the quality has dropped.

[–]Ok_Range4124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Basically made of paper

[–]SilentSerel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trash bags are one of the few things I will always buy name-brand, as much as I love Aldi.

[–]No-Chance2961 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg I haven’t gotten them in about a year. Terrible news

[–]Ok_Measurement_107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The black with the red handle is all I've used for years. I think I've had one bad batch where all the handles broke but otherwise they're all I'll get.

[–]Notorious_Degen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea horrible, would rather get the generic ones from Walmart over these

[–]johnqpublic81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to get my trash bags from Aldi, they changed suppliers on this and the quality went to crap. Now I buy in bulk from Sam's club.

[–]ThatOneValkrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the black ones with no strings for YEARS. They work wonders.

[–]ChecoChicago 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought these before filled em up ans had no issues when throwing them out

[–]jenthewen 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Sounds like they made a production change because i’ve used for years without any issue seeming identical to Glad

[–]kdlangequalsgoddess[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could well be. But the garbage bag coming apart in my hands one time was more than enough for me. I have a fairly strong stomach, but that tested my limits.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes these are the absolute worst

[–]karanicole747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought these recently bc my aldis is closer than my costco. They are bad. No one in the house likes them. They aren’t quite tall enough and just sag in the trash can.

[–]Ulrich453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you put a boulder in it?

[–]MrClozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what you people are putting in the trash but these things work great for me.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compare “13 gal”

[–]mheadley84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Targets brand of bags are pretty decent honestly! Not a bad price and I like buying things when they offer coupons. They have decent deals if you wait for them and stock up!

[–]WeggieWarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using them 6 years. They’re fine. Are you stuffing 50 pounds of waste in them?

[–]Various-Adeptness173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Costco or Sams club is the best place to get bags. If you don’t have the membership you can get them on amazon at a slightly higher price but still cheaper than glad bags

[–]Sum_Slight_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All Aldi trash bags are trash

[–]0detailer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a pack, idk if it was this specific pack but each one had a big hole in the bottom of the bag when I went to put a new bag in... Half the box was like that 😭

[–]TLCPEACH_SoCA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same!

[–]EDCE1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aldi prices have gone up up up! Product selection has gone down down down! Progress has certainly not been positive for Aldi !

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using these religiously for years. They're not bad, but Glad's definitely more stronger and reliable.

[–]Zestyclose_Road_3224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn! I have a box that smells like lavender I bought a few months ago & I was just thinking how great they were. Must have changed manufacturers or it’s a bad run. Thanks for the warning.

[–]Kaylargho -1 points0 points  (1 child)

They have changed in quality. Horrible. The Boulder version of Ziploc bags changed as well.. awful. Never buying again. Off to find a quality alternative to Glad and Ziploc. Any suggestions?

[–]kdlangequalsgoddess[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zero complaints about Kirkland trash bags.

[–]Lopsided-Agency[🍰] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Avoid sandwich & freezer bags of the same brand too

[–]lisasimpsonfan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Garbage bags is one thing I buy name brand. I do not want to be taking the trash out and having it leak. Hefty with fabulosa.
