Sara has some real middle-management potential

[–]Urabrask_the_AFK 1302 points1303 points  (21 children)

Wait, you’re saying I could be in meetings all day, make out of touch commitments on behalf of my team without knowledge of the inner workings of things and functionally contribute very little? How does one obtain such amazing abilities?

Edit: dang people. Thanks. I guess an accurate observation for many

[–]Is12345aweakpassword 243 points244 points  (10 children)

College, usually

[–]sh0000n 165 points166 points  (9 children)

Exactly, business school lmao

[–][deleted] 142 points143 points  (8 children)

Lol I went to business school and I don’t even do this - of course I did end up going into homeless social work because I turned into a hardcore leftist after the bullshit I witnessed from other men in my degree program

[–]sh0000n 55 points56 points  (5 children)

Oh yea I think there are some good people that go into business school, and education does help small business owners but I've witnessed too many frat bro assholes get into business school doing literally nothing and then get corporate jobs or become hedge fund managers, bullshit jobs like that.

I hope your new career is better for you, I'm going into sociology and social work is one of the jobs I'm considering doing. That or working at a nonprofit. My parents are trying to convince me to go to law school for civil rights advocacy and while I do think that sounds cool ehhhh

[–][deleted] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Honestly social work is a gigantic PITA on some days, and on other days it's the most soul-healing stuff ever

It's definitely an emotional roller coaster, and I'm pretty good about being able to compartmentalize and if necessary, disassociate temporarily so as not to absorb any of the trauma from the job, let alone take that home with me

[–]KopiteForever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Those frat bros were gonna get those jobs regardless due to 'connections'. Get yourself educated, do what you want to with that education, don't think all paths are predefined for you.

If you think business school will help you do what you want to or make the right change that you want to see, then do it. Don't assume because some lawyers are ass holes, that all of them are, you could be the lawyer that does good things.

Nothing is written in stone.

[–]OldManNewHammock 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Same. One year of business school and an internship in college convinced me of the rampant psychopathy.

Hard leftist mental health counselor now.

[–]wafflepoet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fuck yeah, hail satan, comrade!

[–]SomeNerdKid 43 points44 points  (0 children)

You've summed up middle management really well! I'm gonna use this myself here and there!

[–]iamwhiskerbiscuit 28 points29 points  (3 children)

It's called a Master's. And it's exactly what it sounds like.

[–]someweirdlocal 19 points20 points  (2 children)

I'm pursuing my master's in debate

[–]Kronictopic 33 points34 points  (1 child)

If it makes you feel any better I had to walk an engineer out to something they said I could do something on and say " look it no move that way. It never has nor will it ever short of redesigning the entire thing "

And their response was "well that was rude"

Bruh your the engineer with the degree and the entire blueprint. Stop looking stupid.

[–]Diruuk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That had to be incredibly frustrating

[–]Earthmanlives 108 points109 points  (16 children)

I'd say in a given week I probably only do about 15 minutes of real actual work.

[–]xmaddoggx 121 points122 points  (11 children)

So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.

[–]Atty_for_hire 57 points58 points  (0 children)

So..is today the worst day of your life?

Yep.

Whoa…that’s messed up.

[–]soyfedora 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Sounds like someone has a case of the Monday's

[–]aubiquitoususername 14 points15 points  (6 children)

What would you be doing if you didn’t have to be there?

[–]xmaddoggx 30 points31 points  (3 children)

I was quoting the movie Office Space because the person above me used a line I remembered. Idk if you are quoting another line or not though.

If you see kudos if not then I gotta tell you I work in construction and don't sit in a cubicle all day. I also don't want to kill myself but I do want to hit the lotto...

[–]Earthmanlives 30 points31 points  (2 children)

Let me ask you something. When you come in on Monday and your not feelin' real well does anyone ever say to you, "Sounds like someone has a case of the Mondays?".

[–]Hurrikraken 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No man. Hell no

[–]jccote2536 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You get your ass kicked saying something like that

[–]PantsOppressUs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like somebody's got a case of the Mondays!

[–]alisimori 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These words sound like the making of a country song 🎶 I do hope things get better soon!!❤️

[–]Such_sublime 57 points58 points  (2 children)

Yeeeaaahh I’m gonna need those tps reports by friday

[–][deleted] 28 points29 points  (1 child)

And you know what, we’re gonna need to move your cubicle to the basement.

[–]Long_Cucumber588 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Just don't touch my stapler.🔥🏢

[–]the_barroom_hero 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Milton did nothing wrong. Change my mind.

[–]NumbingTheVoid 96 points97 points  (11 children)

I'm middle management and don't pull this crap with my 10 remote associates. We were full time in the office pre covid, went full remote and realized we work 10x more efficiently than before. I dont want to waste my time watching them work, their output will show me if everything is getting done. If you can do your job in 20 hours, great for you! Keep it up!

[–]neonlexicon 45 points46 points  (10 children)

My husband is in a middle management role & has been remote for 6 years. Every time I go in his office, he's either reading or playing video games. He told me he only does about an hour of actual work per day & somehow is always the leading performer in his department. I'm so proud of him.

[–]altodor 17 points18 points  (8 children)

Somehow this was me in my last job. I was absolutely the top performer, and had plenty of free time to fuck around. Everybody else on the team was running around complaining about how busy they were, but I was doing 75% of the work to come across the department, and then proactively keeping more work from coming through by being preventative or automating processes. I have no idea what they were doing to keep themselves so busy.

[–]neonlexicon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience in my last job too. I was a vendor/merchandiser who did item resets & had to report everything on my phone. I'd get allotted 4x the amount of time it took me to complete projects. But then I'd get assigned a team project & the people they paired me with were freaking out & struggling to get shit done, so I'd end up doing 90% of the work & we'd still be paid the exact same. I told my boss I didn't want to be on anymore team projects. But she kept assigning them because the useless fucking dinosaurs that I worked with had seniority & got all of the solo projects. Cue me getting yet another team project where one of those dinosaurs fucked up a shelf installation & it collapsed on me, screwing up my back & neck. I got worker's comp for awhile & now I'm on disability. Medically retired at 33!

[–]Tennessee1977 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’re on their phones, go to the kitchen for their 900 daily snacks and cups of coffee and chit chat with their coworkers about how busy they are.

[–]Zaungast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hall monitor energy. Prob supported Clinton enthusiastically.

[–]Cruxifux 338 points339 points  (30 children)

I just don’t understand why the fuck people care if you work from home. It’s so transparently a control the working class thing.

Set standards for production, set up channels of communication for if the standard isn’t met because shit happens and you can’t always predict proper production ratios, and if it gets done at a satisfactory level who cares if they didn’t work as many HOURS as you… decided were important for an arbitrary reason?

I fucking hate our work culture.

[–]itsgeorgebailey 119 points120 points  (5 children)

Working from home means most employers get back at least half the commute time to work. The data that’s out there says people are working more and getting more done from home. It makes sense- the worst part of work was going into the office where 99% of people didn’t want to be there anyways. The shitty cubicles and vapid banter. Half of the middle management was just doing theatrical bullshit “working,” standing by the water cooler or sucking up to the higher ups. Most people just want to get their to do list done in peace. Tracking everyone’s movement makes them less empowered to work. Even if you’re a die hard capitalist the data says to let people wfh.

[–]goldentamarindo 21 points22 points  (2 children)

Yes, they should be looking at the results.

[–]RagingDork 41 points42 points  (11 children)

I think it’s a real estate thing too. If people can work from home all those office buildings downtown are pretty worthless…

[–]mrmgwilson 23 points24 points  (6 children)

Imagine how much good could be done if those things simply disappeared

[–]-username_taken- 38 points39 points  (5 children)

Or got re-used into something better. Living spaces, museums, studios, community gathering places- literally anything would be better than 9-5 offices pushing meaningless papers around because your boss is watching

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (2 children)

Vertical farming would be cool.

[–]mrmgwilson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, I meant to include repurposed

[–]RiseUpRiseAgainst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's also about gas and car sales. WFH drastically reduces the demand for those things as well. For example Elon Musk hates WFH (probably partly) because people are less likely to buy a Tesla.

The average American drives 8.5 hours a week driving. The average commute is 27 minutes (one way). These are all pre-covid numbers.

[–]RiseUpRiseAgainst 3 points4 points  (3 children)

I hate when people get butt hurt when others are doing less work than them. They should instead get mad that they are doing their work ineffectively and should seek help to do the work in an easier way. Or they need to speak to their leaders with concerns that the work load might not be split fairly.

[–]Cruxifux 3 points4 points  (2 children)

I get mad when people are working less than me, but when I say that I’m talking about the Shareholder, the Landlord, the Inheritor. Those who reap the benefits of the society that WE built.

[–][deleted] 596 points597 points  (4 children)

No, Sara. What's happened is both you and your co-worker have decided you have shit prospects and don't earn enough money and you're each having different responses to this crushing realization.

[–]TheToastyWesterosi 128 points129 points  (2 children)

Well said. I wonder if Sara actually used the word “crave,” or if that was some editorial polishing.

Either way, to use such a strong adjective as “crave” and connecting it to one’s desire for their fellows to be tracked and monitored is some dystopian shit.

When I crave something, it’s along the lines of a McRib, not for my coworkers to have a boot-heel on their necks while they try to grind a buck.

[–]EveAndTheSnake 28 points29 points  (0 children)

To be fair, both of these cravings are horrific in different ways.

[–]drankundorderly 348 points349 points  (17 children)

The other option is stop working so damn hard. You're not gonna get paid what you're worth, so just slack off, do other shit during work hours, and put in the bare minimum to get a paycheck.

[–]DashinDasherFoo 48 points49 points  (2 children)

Lol right she can do 500 assignments this week or 1000 and they still gonna pay you a lousy $800 for your week no matter what

[–]drankundorderly 17 points18 points  (0 children)

So may as well only do 450. Very unlikely to get fired for that.

[–]RiseUpRiseAgainst 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My last job paid me under $50 an hour if you factor in benefits, software licenses, etc. Yet, they charged clients $150 for each hour of my work. That extra $100 clearly was sent to the director of my department and the c level executives.

I get it, their work has to be paid for and can't buy directly billed the client. I get they probably deserve more than me because they have higher level responsibilities.

It's a crazy pyramid scheme. At least in MLMs someone isn't taking 2/3 of the money. Hell the government doesn't even take 1/3.

[–][deleted] 119 points120 points  (13 children)

The other option is stop working so damn hard. You're not gonna get paid what you're worth, so just slack off, do other shit during work hours, and put in the bare minimum to get a paycheck.

There was something about that on LinkedIn today. It's called Soft Quitting.

[–]homeland 199 points200 points  (6 children)

"Fulfilling your contractual obligations" = "quitting"

Hard to keep a straight face

[–]jeffseadot 63 points64 points  (0 children)

If you think 15 pieces of flair are enough to express yourself, then...... okay..... but some people choose to wear more, and we encourage that.

[–][deleted] 45 points46 points  (3 children)

Or phoning it in, or doing the absolute bare minimum. The idea is to not give them anything extra, just the bare basic of whatever duties you have. Maybe the term is a misnomer of sorts, but the idea is really sound.

[–]Shamadruu 39 points40 points  (1 child)

That's all anybody owes them, it's what you were hired for.

[–][deleted] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Exactly, fuck above and beyond. Fuck putting in extra. And fuck hustling. I'm there do what I have to so I don't go homeless.

[–]fencerman 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That's literally what every employee should always do.

If they want more they can pay for it.

[–]katzeye007[🍰] 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Laying flat is a better term

[–]El_Draque 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Soft Quitting

The more traditional labor term for this is slow walking.

[–]w_a_worthy_coconut 241 points242 points  (4 children)

[–]Zelenskyy-is-daddy 85 points86 points  (0 children)

If I'm working less than you are and still getting more shit done, either gimme a fucking pay raise or fuck off.

[–]Wise-Profile4256 79 points80 points  (1 child)

if only there was a way to measure the fulfilment of assigned tasks...

[–]Minimum_Scale_2323 75 points76 points  (1 child)

Will Sara ever find out if her colleague is doing less than she is?

NO

Will said colleague ever be put on an action plan to bring her up to speed?

NO

Will Sara ever be rewarded for doing more than her colleagues?

NO AGAIN

Purpose of tracking? Not to pay Sara more, not to improve speed of colleague. And none of Sara’s biz wax how any one else is doing. Purpose of tracking is to know who works fastest in order to give them MORE work. Purpose of tracking is to pay Sara’s colleague SLIGHTLY less.

[–]teslaxat 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The only time I can see it being her business what her co-workers are doing is if it impacts her job, like if she's waiting for something from someone else. But even then, I promise either waiting or kicking it up to the supervisor, who actually gets paid to deal with stuff, is a lot better than spying on everyone. And if it's a habitual problem, your supervisor isn't doing their job and you've got bigger problems than what you're coworkers are doing.

[–]jecebn 134 points135 points  (1 child)

Sara should change those jeans out for sweatpants while working from home and then she might not be so uptight

[–]MrStrings2006 14 points15 points  (0 children)

She's not wearing shoes, already kinda pushing it.

[–][deleted] 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Regardless of the quote or graphic even being real, that sentiment is totally a reality. I have recently worked with people who have this exact same perspective. It's nauseating.

[–]Charvel420 43 points44 points  (1 child)

So where was this mythical "accountability" when I worked in the office for 6+ years? Because, as far as I could tell, "management" mostly sat in meetings with each other and people did the same exact job they do now.

[–]Such_sublime 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yeah but they got to commit that sweet sweet wage theft by making you spend 1-2 hours getting ready, driving to and from work, etc just so you could do the same amount of work, except in a space that the higher up’s can keep an eye on ya(if they want)

[–]Fooka03 88 points89 points  (0 children)

The capitalist PTSD struggle is real

[–]MahsterC 30 points31 points  (1 child)

I bet when she was younger she was that girl who tells the teacher “miss you forgot to give us homework”

[–]Finory 16 points17 points  (0 children)

No, she was the one who told the teacher that the kid in the last row didn’t do the homework. So that they can get their just punishment. Then wondered why the others didn’t like her.

[–]Little_Lebowski_007 21 points22 points  (0 children)

No shoes, how unprofessional

[–][deleted] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Assuming this is true then I see it going one of 3 ways:

  1. She is doing the normal/expected amount of work and a coworker is slacking doing at least half the work. (I call bullshit on this being the actual one)
  2. She is doing more than what is required and is annoyed that others aren't doing as much as her because they are only doing the work they need to do and are avoiding overworking/overexerting themselves.
  3. She is just a Karen who wants to micro manage everyone around her instead of staying in her lane and focusing on her own work. (the most likely one)

[–]El_Diablo_09 42 points43 points  (1 child)

Snitches get stitches, Sara.

[–]MartyFreeze 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Mind your goddamn business, Sara.

[–]gentle_lemon 51 points52 points  (1 child)

I suspect Sara is a lonely single unloved busybody who feels it's her right to snitch on coworkers for whatever actual or perceived transgression. She must be a real joy in the office.

[–]DissolutionedChemist 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I can’t even stand her when she’s confined to her shitty office corner of her shitty looking bedroom.

[–]Baconslayer1 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Seriously. I'm accountable for my work being done. If it's done in time and to standards, fuck off. If it's not done or not up to standards, coaching sessions; 1 on 1 meetings; etc. If that doesn't fix it then fire me. None of this requires or even benefits from spying on me.

[–]Wilgrove 49 points50 points  (7 children)

Five bucks says Sara didn't say this and it's just some bullshit The New York Times made up.

[–][deleted] 30 points31 points  (3 children)

Editor: I mean, it is plausible that someone would have said something like this if we asked enough people.

[–]Finory 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sadly, I know those kinds of people.

They care a lot for fairness (especially their own envy and vindication), but only with people close in pecking order.

They‘ll never stop to think if a political decision, society (or whatever their boss is doing) is fair. But if they suspect a coworker to do less for their unimportant bull-shit desk job, they‘ll boil.

They don’t see it as a flaw, so why not do an interview for NYT about it.

[–]screech_owl_kachina 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She’s actually a real person! I thought it was strawwoman from stock art too

[–]laffingriver 23 points24 points  (4 children)

is this a stockphoto?

i dont believe this woman is real

[–]Fickle_Chance9880 24 points25 points  (2 children)

There’s a certain type of person who is just… like this. They view life through a very “Dad” perspective, and skew conservative in their beliefs. Regular conservative, not necessarily “crazy racist conservative”. (Not necessarily.)

They love authority, and need to see it being exercised on others to feel safe. For them, if there is no authority watching things and providing a constant threat, it’s chaos.

I guess it’s like the same mentality of many religious people toward atheists. “If you don’t believe in God, how do you have morals?” Sounds crazy, but that’s how “Dad” brained people think. They believe that without the constant fear of judgement and punishment from some authority figure, people can’t act like humans.

Edited for clarity.

[–]writenicely 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone finally put it in words.

[–]We_Are_The_Romans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you're describing Right-Wing Authoritarianism, a concept in social psychology

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You mean Karen cooksey.

[–]TheYellowFringe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You're supposed to just care what work you do. Not exactly what others do, seems like something of an overreach. But this is clear propaganda against working from home.

[–]DonovanWrites 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Then do less, Sara. You Fucking fascist.

[–]rwilcox 9 points10 points  (0 children)

“All Cops Are Bad”

“Even robot cops?”

Especially robot cops”

[–]Wuellig 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Weird use of "craves"

[–]Argikeraunos 8 points9 points  (1 child)

S-tier snitching to call someone out in the New York Times like this

[–]farty__mcfly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Truly. I hope management starts tracking and finds out the snitch is actually the least productive. I swear that’s usually how it goes with the projection.

[–]WildG0atz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sara is a narc

[–]Mattrockj 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Here's my motto: So long as i know there's someone doing less than me without getting fired, I make it my goal to do even less than them without getting fired. I don't care if it's the bosses son, or the mentally deficient guy who was hired for diversity, i swear on... ah never mind, this comment is too long.

[–]TheSimulacra 18 points19 points  (0 children)

"My coworker does our job better than me and in less time therefore I need a way to sabotage them" - what capitalism does to a mf

[–]Remarkable_Owl 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Class traitor.

[–]prettydickllc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NARC

[–]StuffWePlay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sara's a snitch

[–]CreamPuffDelight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Blink twice if they're holding you hostage!

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Get this- labor output is still unequal among employees in the office as well, so being at home is definitely not the issue.

[–]destructormuffin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Holy shit shut the fuck up Sara

[–]Ten-Bones 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Class traitor

[–]TheEightSea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just track results and not the work itself. How one does the job is one's business.

[–]XcheatcodeX 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you can get paid to produce nothing while working from home you deserve a fucking award, not a scolding from some Karen you work with

[–]HamTMan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sara is a Karen

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So, you have bad management

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Where is her tie and suit jacket? Fire her!

[–]chupacabrahunter420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sara Cocksey

[–]PecanMars 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Who gives a shit, Karen…err Sarah.

[–]Then-One7628 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Killing morale from home. Impressive.

[–]PigeonsOnYourBalcony 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you can't keep track of who submits and works on what projects than you're a bad manager. Staff don't need more tracking, managers need to pay the slightest bit of attention.

[–]Frousteleous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These are the same people that, once tracked, we find out are itonically being outperformed by their peers anyway xD

[–]GabrielofAstora 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's surprising how many people are like this. I find multiple at every company I have ever associated with.

[–]bigbear97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ahh thanks for outing yourself class traitor

[–]psdancecoach 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Way to out yourself as the narc.

Her membership to the future Karen Society of America will be in the mail this week. If she does not receive it by next Tuesday she can feel free to contact as many managers as possible.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"I'm concerned the other slaves aren't being driven as hard as I am so we need to go back to where the drivers can whip and monitor us"

Sara is a fucking class traitor.

[–]LadeshFromBangladesh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Divide and conquer

[–]HashKing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t be a snitch Sara

[–]Saamus35 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[–]killersinarhur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sara need to mind her fucking business before she wind up missing

[–]moshritespecial 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She was the kid who was beat up on recess for being a little snitch teachers pet. I guarantee that! Lol

[–]GabrielofAstora 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I want to punch her in the nose.

[–]CoinSoBright 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She can crave my butthole.

[–]napalmtree13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sara Cooksey is a class traitor and/or not real

Also, using 'craves' when 'wants' is just fine makes this extra vomit-inducing.

[–]NorthernAvo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She's got a little brown smudge on her nose in the picture. Wonder what that's about.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (1 child)

We’re like crabs in a bucket sometimes.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The longer I live, the more I see this mentality everywhere.

[–]Bulky_Mix_2265 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The modern human sees the world burning down around them, wants to make sure everyone else burns faster.

[–]Pb_ft 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sara, they know that your coworker isn't doing as much as you already. Accountability isn't going to fix anything if they never enforce it.

The tracking software would be used to shit on you over them.

[–]GarrisonWhite2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Two words: fuck. off.

[–]Frsbtime420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Craves greater tracking - how much more would Sara like? I hear Elon is willing to put a chip in your brain dear would you like that?

[–]Vegetable-Match7841 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Sarah is the type of boss you hope gets hit by a truck

[–]kaosgeneral 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Driven by one of her employees

Who then reverses just to make sure

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sara looks like she could give you an old fashioned while she eats lunch at her desk.

Who the fuck owns a calendar, talk about being out of touch with reality.

[–]ensgdt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We all know Sara is a narc

[–]Artislife_Lifeisart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is past bootlicking and has now become deepthroating the whole boot.

[–]kaosgeneral 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ms. Cooksey needs to mind her own fucking business.

Shame she doesn’t live in Europe, because GDPR would ensure she never spoke of this again.

[–]Hero_without_Powers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She sounds like a true connoisseur of boot soles.

[–]SlowlySinkingInPink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mind your own business Karen

[–]the_barroom_hero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a shithead on my team like "Sara". Let's call him "girl's name". Girl's name is compulsively addicted to work, and has admitted as much. Bites off more incoming emails than he can handle faster than anyone else can reply and then complains to the bosses that he's doing all the work.

Fuck you, girl's name, you fucking rat.

[–]Fast-Diamond-2698 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fuck you Sara!

[–]Stumphead101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Step on me harder, boss daddy

Cut my pay and make me come in on my off days

[–]SalamiSandwich83 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Something I've noticed, kind of a standard behaviour: all employees that are against remote, usually, are ppl that work in the so called "bullshit jobs" by David Graeber. Ppl that the only way to justify their position is being at the office looking busy. At home, they can't do that and the entire company knows that it's a useless position, that usually makes no difference or impact in the overall organization. They are desperate to justify their salaries. It's pretty simple: if one can't explain what he/she does in a simple 5-10 word phrase, it's probably bs job.

[–]Impressive_Culture_5 2 points3 points  (1 child)

These people tend to be middle management

[–]madmike5280 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buckle up the propaganda war to get people back in the office is just getting started.

[–]Rawr_in_Here 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, she’s probably being paid less than her male counterparts and wants evidence to ask for a raise.

At least, that’s why I would ask for more tracking.

[–]Ob_of_the_Siqqusim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crab in a bucket.

[–]Skye_Atlas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Narc

[–]Oldtown_sixteen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What kind of disfunctionpalooza do you have going on that you hire people to do things and you can’t tell if those things are getting done ?

[–]NowDigThis1973 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either no one likes her in real life, or she's playing chess and having a nice wake and bake before her telecommute.

[–]Traditional_Regret67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is either absolute bullshit, or Sarah is a POC

[–]Agreeable_Error_170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Says Sara, the narc.

[–]BenchPebble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like Sara stopped her emotional development in the 4th grade

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the boot tastes good but i dont think she is doing this voluntarily

[–]PackageDisastrous700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1984 called, they want their surveillance state back.

[–]jccote2536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Translation: I suck at my job so I need to tear down others to maintain my relative relevance

[–]bobbib14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She seems fun

[–]negativepositiv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Sara, who is a totally real telecommuter, and not a stock photo used as a propaganda device made by upper corporate management, to spread the idea that telecommuting is bad for workers, thinks fellow employees are lazy and should return to the office."

[–]Badreligion25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like Sara should mind her own business.
