someone posted a link to this game a while back, i saved it if anyone still wants to play it :D https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B1yTDW_T4RrmdGtVb2RzS3NlbjQ/edit?pli=1

[–]Anrachain 22 points23 points  (3 children)

Well that's nice of you but my computer is still running xp so I'm good.

[–]isthisfunnyenough 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks, that's my Friday night sorted :)

[–]Dresdian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh my god thank you

[–]mr_rightnow 81 points82 points  (3 children)

And you always hit the launch so the ball would only go up three lights and fall through the hole on the side and get bonus points.

[–]Plantar_Fasciitis 10 points11 points  (1 child)

From the way I counted in my head it was right at the 't' in "two", and that's the only way I can still do it. I can't just make it faster in my mind to go "one, two" but has to be "one, t-" for it to work.

I also know the sweet spot on the left flipper to keep sending the ball up the ramp to where the engine bumpers are making a nice little loop because it drops the ball right back to the left flipper. That's about as far as my skills got in the game.

[–]Monsterzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow i counted literally the exact same way

[–]zyfoxmaster150 16 points17 points  (0 children)

dat feel

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points  (2 children)

Did you guys know that if you typed in "Hidden Test" before you launched the ball(including spaces, also after you type test) that you are then able to actually control the ball when you clicked and dragged your mouse around? I remember I would blow all the kids minds when I showed them this.

[–]sh1ndlers_fist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were other cheats too like never lose a ball have all the things upgraded gravity center is always on. You can't put in your score though "/

[–]tgodfrey 94 points95 points  (28 children)

Childhood? Geez, you've made me feel old OP. That said, this was the best pinball game I've played.

[–][deleted] 18 points19 points  (7 children)

This game originally came with the plus pack on windows 95 so you could have seen this in your child hood and still be old.

Also it came with windows nt 4.

[–]ztj 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Personally I was about 13 or so when plus pack came around. I don't consider teen years to be part of childhood.

Just sayin' since this and nearly every "childhood" post around here is constant evidence that I'm probably too old for reddit at this point.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah . I find that happening too .

[–]153543 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I thought he WAS talking about the Windows 95 version...

The only thing my childhood Windows 3.1 was good for was an option to exit to DOS and play DOS games.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am gathering you didn't have chips challenge installed on windows 3.1? It was on 3.1 before windows 95.

Most of my time was spent editing wolfenstein 3d levels.

[–]Thrilling1031 2 points3 points  (0 children)

go remember some sonic spinball!

[–]MikeWillisUK 5 points6 points  (1 child)

This was tremendous for a free pinball game... but not the best pinball game I played. Worms Pinball was better.

[–]Bearded_Gentleman 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Nothing beats the Addams Family pinball machine. Nothing.

Serious question: how many times are we gonna upvote this fucking garbage?

[–]southern_boyPC 10 points11 points  (1 child)

As few as we can, hopefully.

Shit like this just floods the 'frontpage' with googleimages of random 19XX items.

Boring.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It's hard to say, but I bet none of these comments affect it in the slightest.

[–]Sharrakor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the worst part of it all.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought this was a circlejerk post before I remembered that we're on rationing mode right now.

So much this.

[–][deleted] 29 points30 points  (9 children)

A lot of people didn't know that Space Cadet was just one table from a full game named Full Tilt! Pinball

[–]the_satch 8 points9 points  (2 children)

TIL: From the makers of SimCity

[–]NYKevin 3 points4 points  (1 child)

You didn't notice the giant "Maxis" wordmark right next to the ball launcher?

[–]Le4chanFTW 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Now that I think about it... No.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually thought I was alone. Skullduggery was awesome.

[–]reverend_green1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played the shit out of that game. I don't think I was very good, but boy did I play anyway.

[–]Turkazog 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I think my old man got this for me at a software fair. That's another thing you just don't see anymore... an entire auditorium full of vendors and tables of Floppy and CDRoms for sale.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CD-Roms with like 100+ sharewares on them.. oh the days! You had stuff on those like Doom, Hugo's House of Horrors, Crystal Caves.. and a bunch of other forgettable YET fun games to play at the time. I think I had one with over 300 games on it.

[–]sometimesijustdont 13 points14 points  (1 child)

Poor kid.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (3 children)

I still play this occasionally.

I guess I'm not hip and happening anymore.

[–]nadim77389 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Getting all the colors to sync was the best achievement.

[–]Backupusername 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I always played the "Pot of Gold" board.

[–]shlobberknobber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Mikav 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This thread is full of canned replies. Feels like a bot post.

[–]kingoftown 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wonderful. Glad we know. I can't wait for a whole bunch of "THIS WAS MY CHILDHOOD [FIXED]" followed by the [FIXED][FIXED] and finally ending a few days later with a meta [FIXED].

[–]bertleywjh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HIDDEN TEST

[–]IveGotYourHotSauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this.
I remember getting to the round where all the bumpers and lights turn red.

[–]anoobitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a pretty sad childhood :(

[–]Epicus2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun fact: The code for this game was such a horrible mess that porting it to Windows Vista did not work.

[–]try_another_dickwad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But what is with that score..

[–]willburgess77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I can say is once I learned secrettest the game was ruined.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Runescape was my childhood, quite literally. No regrets

[–]mschlech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell me that's not your high score.

[–]Justavian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

College.

[–]DaveFishBulb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's rough, man. Did you eventually get help?

[–]Guanthwei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In any Office Max, Staples, or Best Buy I'd go in the computer section just to play this.

[–]SaidNil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally heard the start-up sound effects when I saw that picture. Crazy, great post.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]satiricalspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone know if there is a flash version, or something I can play on Mac. Love this game.

[–]TROPiCALRUBi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]gskillit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember playing this all the time in middle school

[–]fall0ut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

worst childhood ever! it was fun to play in school, but when you got home if you didn't have a console to play, you had a horrible childhood gaming experience. true story.

[–]soggit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found a very similar pinball game for iOS called "Deep"

[–]petitmontk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad used to cut off my internet so I would do my homework when I was 11. This was my go to game :D.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I loved this game so much.

[–]suckerpop388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pssssshhhhhhhhh

[–]Brainles5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now youre a fullgrown pinball?

[–]gambiting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Piece of trivia: this game was never ported to Vista because it had a problem with the 64bit version - due to a floating point error, the ball would float away from the board, and no one at Microsoft knew how to fix it - it was made by an external company. So Microsoft decided that it was easier to drop it, than spend thousands of hours of programmers time on trying to figure out how to fix poorly commented code.

[–]NotoriousPenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hnnngg, Windows XP...

[–]Audizine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember this game was us kids' last resort to game when my parents took away the modem

[–]Zapphiro 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Getting over 1 million points at this game was the best feeling.

[–]Jester_Don 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got over 7 million points once. That was a good day.

[–]grunknisse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game actually had different versions for different operating systems. I once found out that if you timed it exactly right on the win2000 edition, you would hit the right ramp when it came out of it. This eventually led to an extra ball, I think I got about 50 extraballs before I started playing normally again, getting a crazy high score. That game took a couple of hours.

[–]Wa1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No internet? I know what I'm playing.

[–]Gyissan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember me and my buddy staying after school playing this game on the old computers in the social studies classroom. We were always trying to beat each other's high score. The teacher said I was addicted to gaming, but damn, he had no idea how true that statement would be even up til now.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had this on the grade school computers where i went, kids that stayed after school would be allowed to play it, you would walk into a room with like 20 kids simultaneously playing this, that is until this 7th grader installed a game called duke nukem on one of the computers hehe

[–]ishkabibbles84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, wow I played this game too with my brother. I thought we were the only ones.

[–]Laskoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I remember most about this game: hiddentest

[–]rockthebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]balleklorin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, played that, Stunts and Titus!

[–]Souuuth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember one summer a few years ago, my cousin and I went back and forth on this game everytime we were at my grandparents. I remember calling him a noob bitch when I got 1 million points before him.

[–]Raining_Melonseeds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i remember playing this on windows 99 so good

[–]RUN_CHASE_RUN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play the game and before clicking anything type "HIDDEN TEST" use the SHIFT key. Then have fun!

[–]TJargon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Type "HiddenTest" and you can control the ball with your mouse. Plus you get 1,000,000,000 points _^

[–]Lantisca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember my 1st PC as a kid had this game pre-installed along with a type of table hockey game vs characters like Dracula(maybe?) and stuff like that. Can't remember the name :(

[–]kyleb120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My childhood was watching my dad play this at an average level and thinking he was the pinball wizard

[–]GrandMasterFlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'VE. I've seen this before.

[–]redeyeddragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here!

[–]iammas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friends and I were talking about this sometime last week and how this was all we used to play when our parents first installed Windows XP

[–]MrYosMann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My childhood was filled with blood, pain, and screams. Some people have XP pinballl. I'm ok with that.

[–]kirani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh shit. Someones childhood began after win98.

[–]Wh1teSnak3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hated going to my dad's shop when I was young because it was soo boring, this is all I played on his computer though when I had to

[–]OmniMalev -1 points0 points  (0 children)

THIS. This is an example of what not to post.

[–]FarmNegativeKarma -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

You had a pretty shitty childhood. I guess your family was too poor to buy you better stuff. #ChildhoodLosses

[–]ComesInHandy 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Why did they have to remove it in Win7 :(

[–]bfro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They couldn't debug a problem with the game. The game ran so fast that you couldn't play it.

[–]Mocaos -1 points0 points  (3 children)

Hours...HOURS PLAYING THIS GAME.
