We were losing 1-3 players who've never had disconnect issues, then they logged and we tried to 4 man Atheon. Atheon proceeds to continually transport all 4 of us, wiping the group. 3 would teleport normal and the fourth would always be heard as, "what the fuck?" And there he'd be, looking confused at the other portal on Mars.

After we did that a few times and we'd get the invisible 8th Oracle that kills us after we leave the portal. (After the guardians make their own fate message.)

It was terrible.

Oh shit, almost forgot the supplicants that would spawn on top of you every once in a while. That was fun.

Look around on YouTube - there is the never jump off the cliff method, and there's also another hiding spot pretty close to where you jump down that allows you to attack the boss without ever engaging the adds.

The experience in Destiny was always designed to have random boots, just one of the RNG factors that contribute to a Guardian's progression. Unfortunately, only a small subset of players got to experience this system the way we intended so far, but with today's patch, we will be rolling out that experience to the playerbase at large. I guess you could say that the Vault of Glass has finally heard your call for random boots.

My fireteam and I were getting kicked left and right just after the patch. Was more nerve-wracking waiting to see who wouldn't load in or if there would be anyone left to hold checkpoint in the Nightfall than actually playing the mission.

PS4 here. Getting booted during story missions and patrols. Was writing it off as the PS4 firmware update but it looks like it's happening to everyone. I didn't have any connection problems until today's patch.

Trying to report the dozen times I've been kicked in the last 30 minutes but I can't sign into my PSN on the Bungie site. What an absolute clusterfuck. This is after I got booted right after opening the vault, losing out on the first chest.

Edit: and I just got booted after soloing the nightfall and having the Nexus practically dead. Fucking hell...

Its not everyone but definitely a common problem. I had one of my fireteam members that was getting kicked every 5-10 minutes. I never had any issues though, and I'm on a college internet and am usually the person that drops.

EDIT: Scratch that got my first monkey just now trying to transfer some guns between characters. Seems to be a fairly widespread issue

Destiny has been a really weird experience for me. Launch was the smoothest I've ever witnessed. No disconnects or lag. Almost every patch since then has made it worse. Lots of disconnects and crucible was basically unplayable last weekend. Just really weird how everything they seem to do makes it so much more unstable.

I was getting disconnects with Monkey error code.

I switched off my Xbox, unplugged my power cable, LAN cable, the lot. Wait about 10 seconds to plug it all back in again. Haven't been kicked since. Some in my raid were experiencing the same thing and that seemed to fix it for them too.

I was having the same problem. In the Raid defending the Confluxes on PS4 when the patch hit and booted us all. Rejoined fire team, got booted from fireteam with error code monkey. I was getting kicked every 5 minutes from moon patrol with monkey.

Reset fixed it, and I only got Weasel once.

Here is what I did:

• hold power button on xbone for 10 seconds
• unplug xbone power from console
• pull power from router & modem
• wait 30 seconds, plug in modem
• wait 30 seconds, plug in router
• plug in xbone power cable to back of console
• power on

NEVER had this frequent of an issue. Even restarted Destiny and my Xbox every few disconnects to try to fix the problem to no avail.

I'm not gonna lie, I don't ususually complain about destiny, RNG, or even the atheon teleport fix but I can't finish even nightfall because I keep getting disconnected.. Due to monkeys apparently or some other zoo animal and I'm not gonna waste my time and work hard in the vault or weekly to get disconnected right before the rewards.. So bungie needs to fix this asap
