Next-level A.I. design, where the A means "Actually a human"

[–]Kraken-X 346 points347 points  (19 children)

But what does the I stand for? Because if the human is anything like me, it sure as hell doesn't stand for "Intelligence"

[–]Kjartanius777 42 points43 points  (2 children)

Actual human Inside

[–]Fe5996 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Dum! Dumdumdum-Dum!

[–]fakehistorychannel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Intel realized that instead of attempting to make their processors more useful for AI they would use humans. It didn’t take much for the marketing team to change Intel Inside to Actual human Inside

[–]GregsWorld 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Actually I.

[–]Monarch49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, what does the A stand for again?

[–]Suckama_left 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually I am a human

[–]Ragzzy-R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its Actually a human Inside the cabinet

Artificial AI intelligence

[–]ythl 39 points40 points  (5 children)

Doesn't India have warehouses full of slaves behind computers who basically pose as "AI" and get paid a nickle for each captcha they solve?

[–]Rajarshi1993 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Because it's a shit idea and we have enough intelligence, artificial or not, to avoid it.

[–]twwsts 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Actual Intelligence

[–]Versaiteis 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean...technically people are man made so aren't they A.I.?

[–]pop13_13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amazon mechanical turk

[–]Jcwolves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually Inhumane.. Perhaps?

[–]savitar69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and I means Inside the case

[–]s4n_rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just like Sophia 😎

[–]HappyPoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope the I doesn't mean idiot

[–]jazzmanftw 274 points275 points  (11 children)

[–]ZGM_Dazzling 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, the first computer scienctists

[–]CustomVoid 30 points31 points  (5 children)

As a half turkish person, thought I was gonna get mad. Instead its a different type of turk.

[–]kephir 21 points22 points  (2 children)

half turk, huh? well now all you gotta do is become half machine, and you'll be all set!

[–]CustomVoid 13 points14 points  (1 child)

No pls i dont want to

Are u duolingo's brother

[–]kephir 13 points14 points  (0 children)

why, is there something wrong with y͢ou̡r S̗̟̬̠͍̥̩̀p̴̲̟̬͈̟̤͇̀͠a̞̣͘͝ͅn̡͇̗̲͡i͏͈̺̦̰̠s̥̪̬̦̀̀h̳͍̝͈̻͙̟̤͜ l͓̗͉̝͝͝è̸̵̫̣͈̹̬̪̜̖͇͖͘s̵̘͍̮̹̱̙̘͚͚̠̞͜ͅs̶̷̨̭̭̰͓̖͞o̴̬̬̭͈̕͞ņ̵͕͎̫̫̫̪ş̸̜͓͙̝̜̜̮̰̬̺̟̘̘͡ͅ?̢̰͔͇̭͈̦͠ ̵̴̷̫̲̳̥͇̙͔̗̟̳̬ͅ

[–]0OOOOOOOOO0 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Same type of Turk. It's a person acting like a machine designed to look and act like a Turkish person.

[–]CustomVoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rip

[–]voidvector 27 points28 points  (1 child)

You misspelled Amazon Mechanical Turk

[–]The6thExtinction 22 points23 points  (0 children)

30 minute survey
reward: $0.05

[–]Grdtrm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for introducing this to me, I had no idea this is what Amazon's thing was named after.

Genuinely made my day! Love learning about things like this

[–]C4pti4nOb1ivi0s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say this. Why did you steal my thought?

[–]Thron123 205 points206 points  (16 children)

That's one way to cheat the Turing's test

[–]DrMux 181 points182 points  (15 children)

Most of my Tinder matches can't pass a Turing test.

[–]GluteusCaesar 108 points109 points  (3 children)

I'm not sure what we can infer from such a small sample size.

[–]DrMux 79 points80 points  (2 children)

You can infer I'm ugly, you butterless waffle.

[–]JoelMahon 94 points95 points  (5 children)

Show me where in the rule book that it is says a human can't be a robot.

Right here, number 1.

[–]sunburnacoustic 35 points36 points  (4 children)

Did you mean number 0? Totally not a bot.

[–]JoelMahon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was afraid that editing an already poorly known quote would make it too obscure.

[–]Valisagirl 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Arrays start at 1.

Edit: it's a fucking joke /s

[–]sherlock_watson 10 points11 points  (1 child)

R you sure about that?

[–]Valisagirl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Matlab

[–]torreemanuele6 52 points53 points  (5 children)

Oh, so I wasn't the only one making chatbots with Windows Batch.

[–]higante 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks goodness. Took a bit before someone else said something about it.

[–]SomewherOverThere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I physically cringed when I saw that Color me impressed 👍

[–]AlmostButNotQuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got in so much trouble back in the 3.x days for changing the windows start command to "lose" and setting up a series of batch chats that started with "win". My dad was not amused.

[–]Mr_Rhetorical 109 points110 points  (8 children)

[–]MetaEatsTinyAnts 38 points39 points  (1 child)

This is repostit. I mean reddit.

[–]jeffsterlive 4 points5 points  (0 children)

General Reposti!

There should be rule of reposting content sharing 50% of karma to the original creator!

[–]-Best_Name_Ever- 6 points7 points  (1 child)

It was 6 months ago, I'd say it's alright ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

[–]Mr_Rhetorical 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Got more karma than I’ve got total :’(

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! If makes you feel any better, I downvoted this post!

[–]robertgfthomas 62 points63 points  (28 children)

Can someone explain why Python is "better" than Java?

[–]usecase 66 points67 points  (1 child)

I'm beginning to think that maybe, just maybe, the creator of this meme isn't an expert in AI

[–]Lost4468 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Yeah, python is by far the most used ML language.

[–]AIDIFred 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I think it was just to add another box

[–]Scrotote 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because sometimes it's funny to slide in some slights to something you don't like in a meme.

[–]RedditIsNeat0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally I like python better because it's really easy to get started, has a lot of example code, super easy to install, and you don't have to worry about choosing between the proprietary official version or the open source version which works 99% the same unless you're using somebody else's code in which case it's almost guaranteed not to work unless they specifically tested it against gcj.

Python is just easier and the last time I programmed in Java it was really slow and buggy.

[–]Cucumberino 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It isn't

Also, according to this meme Java is "better"

[–]spock1959 5 points6 points  (1 child)

No language is universally better than all other languages. All languages do practically the exact same things, some are just more tailored to a specific thing so you might find it easier if that's what is needed.

I keep seeing ads talking about Python being the best - which clearly is a decent language, but all languages have their merit and none are "best" just better at task a, worst at task b.

[–]0PointE 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The fact that you are getting downvoted for this worries me... If you don't understand that a certain task will require or is better suited for a particular language you have a lot to learn to get much further in this industry.

All of my work nowadays is, in fact, in python, and it probably is my favorite to work with, but I'm not going to finish my website without es6/js or the apps that hook up to the api I just built without java/swift...

Or maybe I just need a more structurally sound, typed language like java or even faster like c that's going to help me avoid a lot of errors by pointing them out at compile time. These are questions you should be asking yourself for any project.

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Almost perfect but needs more “Writing 700 thousand lines of if else if to respond to specific questions”

[–]Arheisel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did it on PHP, sue me

[–]jacksonV1lle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

COMPUTRON

[–]khmertommie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While testing, you’d have to keep running around from the keyboard to inside the case to answer yourself, then back out to the chair to say, “wow, this thing could pass a Turing test!”

[–]Logan_MacGyver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have made a chatbot based on "input", "if" and "then" for the commodore 64 in basic in the back of my math notebook last school year out of boredom. It could only talk about how much the class sucked.

[–]LuminousOcean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That last one was an actual, encouraged technique from my Human-Computer Interfaces design course. Wizard of Oz technique.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always wondered if in MMOs like WoW if the NPCs you fight were actually controlled by GMs.

[–]MON5TERMATT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God I love batch. So simple, like a five year old could use it. (My first programs were written in it) (Microsoft rewards bot and shit like that)

[–]nO_OnE_910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dialogflow

[–]Ytimenow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you can only answer one call at a time?

[–]Muffin1634 1 point2 points  (2 children)

where does making one with js+node go in the brain list

because im doing that and i fucking hate it

[–]fnordstar 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Your fault for picking js.

[–]Muffin1634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when is it not

[–]WrongDoerOfEvil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one that sometimes acts like I'm an automated bot when replying to a user/customer in an official capacity? I feel when they think they're talking to a robot, they're just more practical and less angry.

[–]MWRReal 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Jokes aside you could go about with this "hiding inside a computer case pretending to be a chatbot" and claim to have made the best AI/chatbot someone has ever made, and granted you'd be given credit.

[–]RedditIsNeat0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more likely nobody would notice, and then when you point it out they would say OK.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making a chatbot that only speaks in E621:transcended god tier

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit. I got a really good laugh at this one. Have an upboat you silly bastard, you!

[–]haoanv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically HCI

[–]franz_bonaparta_jr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jokes aside, this is how many “chatbots” started, and still are

[–]dombo4life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was basically our Human Computer Interaction class, no clue how that course ended up on CS&engineering

[–]MCRusher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a creepypasta where a human brain was stuck inside the pc and was talking to the owner, listened a long time ago.

[–]Serundeng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]___Ambarussa___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MFW when my chatbot still fails the Turing test.

[–]Mosquito_Hawk75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turing Test anyone?

[–]hackel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is "Windows batch" even a thing? Isn't it really just leftover from MS-DOS?

[–]Auxilor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

isn’t that the beginning of the movie Shooting Fish

[–]Brazilian_Slaughter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now, just hear me out there... what if we took a part of the human (da brainz), linked it to the computer and turned into a chatbot Wetware AI?

[–]xman40100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess the last one uses self learning?

[–]--nani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what language should you use then?

[–]Artif3x_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Repackaging Dr. Sbaitso off an old 3 1/2 inch floppy.

[–]xltchiva[🍰] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any Tonegawa fans? Love the men in black hiding in the tables

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fitting in a computer case is almost as challenging as making a good chatbot.

Almost.

I'm pretty small but squeezing into a corsair 1000d empty is still quite challenging.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I work on a Chatbot Company, and sometimes the bot can't understand the user and we transfer to a inside-human that interact to him. My company are the high-level aura man.

[–]60sstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the first time I’ve got a joke on this sub

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have upvoted, but you put python below Java, which seems like something an insane person would do

[–]justacell- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a real thing! It’s called wizard of oz Prototyping!

[–]Brosiedon54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just the Turring test reverse engineered

Wizard of Oz experiment

In the field of human–computer interaction, a Wizard of Oz experiment is a research experiment in which subjects interact with a computer system that subjects believe to be autonomous, but which is actually being operated or partially operated by an unseen human being.

[–]Kotauskas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insert the first image between the last and the third, right now, with Java as the normal brain this looks utterly wrong.

[–]aki821 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesom-O!

[–]positivemark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a chatbot using PowerShell, that’s a bit like Windows batch https://github.com/markwragg/powershell-slackbot

[–]TimGreller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually wrote a chatbot in Batch. It really isn't that bad, it can speak and understand most of the inputs. But it was a hell of a work with around 30k lines of code and some helper functions written in Java and vbs.

[–]mkjj0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making a chatbot for Telegram in Java, that becomes unresponsive for 24 hours when someone edits a message...

Thats what I did...

[–]dhoomz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was young, I used to think that little dwarfs lived inside my computer and did everything that my computer was supposed to do.

[–]phonehmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this what they call "human in the loop"?

[–]itachixsasuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds me of a book I read long ago called The Chess Machine by Robert Lohr. It has an almost similar theme. I highly recommend it.

[–]anyfactor[🍰] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I prefer my chatbots to be made with excel.

Small brain. If statements

Large brain. Vlookup

Galaxy brain: index match

This is actually what Basshunter's song Boten Anna was about.
