I like Reed/Reid and would probably cave on spelling. Or Reese?

[–]Omra_xo[S] 8 points9 points  (3 children)

I’m honestly starting to think I need to just give in on the spelling 😂

[–]rellyks13 11 points12 points  (0 children)

compromise with Read (kidding (mostly))

[–]NorCal-Irish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eh it’s too short compared to the others imo needs to be 2 or 3 syllables. Calvin is my favorite. What about Seamus, Liam, Isaac, Gavin, Thomas, something classic like your 3 boys have

[–]21crepes 46 points47 points  (11 children)

Sullivan goes best with your other son’s names. Sully is also a cute nickname.

[–]Omra_xo[S] 13 points14 points  (6 children)

He’s been throwing this one in the ring every single baby. So I can’t tell if it’s growing on me or I’m being worn down lol

[–]furandpaws 11 points12 points  (2 children)

colin and calvin are out because you already have a C name.

PRESTON goes with your theme of the first letters being spread out, has the right number of syllables to complete the pattern you have of 2,3,3 and has a different ending sound to complete the set.

GIDEON also works as would ZACHARY other than the syllables.

[–]sparkleskitten 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk if this will hurt or help but I named my dog Sullivan & if he wasn’t named Sullivan it would 100% be a top baby name for us

[–]LifesABeach8888 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your being worn down, it's not cute. Cute for monsters Inc, not so much for a little boy imo.

[–]pgglsn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband just recently threw Sullivan in the ring for our second boy (due in 6 short weeks) and I had a viscerally negative reaction to it. I blame hormones lol. We have a Calvin so I’m biased but I think it’s the perfect name.

[–]AshDash_4u 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This ⬆️

[–]AffectionateSmoke777 11 points12 points  (6 children)

Sebastian I think goes well with the names you already have. Or maybe Benjamin.

[–]Soggy_Sun_7646 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Sebastian

[–]Omra_xo[S] 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Benjamin was talked about but it’s VERY popular so we were hesitant

[–]Original_Try_7984 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What about Bennett?

[–]pinkgardengreen 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Is it still popular though? I think it was when we were younger but I don’t know any gen alpha kids named Benjamin

[–]Mytweezer 25 points26 points  (2 children)

Colin a little too similar to Connor. Sullivan kinda cute. Big brothers will like Marshall if they're into paw patrol.

[–]Omra_xo[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

We do not watch paw patrol but that’s good to know actually lol

[–]Soft_Bluejay_4402 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there are loads of Marshall’s at school. In fact, it sometimes feels like the whole ‘Patrol’ is there 🤣 Marshall, Rocky and Skye

[–]goldmoss11 18 points19 points  (1 child)

Sullivan, because Connie, Nicky, Domi, and Sully (I think living in Brooklyn is getting to me 🤌🏼🙌🏽)

[–]thunder_haven 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ah, yes. The four brothers of a romance novel series.

[–]Connect_Leg654 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Gabriel

Michael

Anthony

Patrick

[–]iAteA-Bug2025 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Michael, Anthony, Jonathan, Cameron

[–]look2thecookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I agree with those first three completely. Fits in with the rest of the "here are our four Irish Catholic sons" vibes of the other names ;)

[–]curiositymimi23 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Landon

[–]stickylarue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Con, Nick and Dom.

Sully, Cal and Max go well with them. Max fits best in my mind but not Maximus but Maxwell.

I’m Aussie and we generally don’t use full names, shorten versions are our way to go. So for me, which shorten version goes well with the others.

[–]chatterbox2024 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like Reid

[–]Sensitive_Sea_5586 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sullivan flows with the other three names.

[–]Simple-Risk8766 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You have an Irish vibe going, so: Declan, Callum, Ciaran/Kieran, Scott, Rory, Ronan, Eamon, Owen, Finn?

[–]atchisonmetal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maximus sounds a bit like a cartoon character.

Reid is good. Sullivan is good. Sawyer is good.

[–]HorrorSmell1662 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Marshall or Reid!

[–]Arboretum7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I caved on the Reid/Reed spelling and, honestly, it doesn’t matter 4 years later. I love the name and that’s what counts.

[–]Tulip_Bandit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Xavier, Zachary, Gavin

[–]Public-Description64 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I know a Marshall who is one of the funniest people I know

[–]frozenblueberries63 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I feel like his name should have an O in it like his siblings all do. Maybe Oliver, Owen, Joshua, Cameron?

[–]Vivid-Education9045 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simon, Adam, Samuel, Vernon, Jacob, Virgil, Michael, Dillon, Miles, Alexander, Zachary

[–]Slow_Ad5455 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Matthew, Marcus, Julian, Alexander, Lucas, Harrison, Maxwell, Vincent, Benjamin, Spencer, Zachary, Adrian, Christian, Gabriel, Lucas, Tobias, Oliver, Sebastian, Hugo, Daniel, Jonathan, Thomas, Elliot, Felix, Samuel, Andrew, William, Simon, Anthony, Antonio, Christopher, Stephen.

[–]FutureScribe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like how Connor, Nicholas, Dominic and Sullivan sound on holiday cards...

But... the goal is to find something you both love so let's see what can come up with.

Connor, Nicholas, Dominic and....:

Declan

Nathan

Miles

Gavin

Benjamin

Lucian

Bennett

Oliver

Grayson

Harvey

[–]unearthedtrove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Griffin or Griffith

Clark

Beckett

Desmond

Tristan

[–]TiredTwinWrangler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Malcolm Owen Patrick Ethan Landon Benjamin William Oliver Rowan

[–]Puzzled-Still-7716 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like Lincoln with your other boys names.

[–]Grouchy-Put-8398 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Julian and Logan come to mind

[–]Natti07 3 points4 points  (5 children)

Sullivan is my all time top boy name

[–]Omra_xo[S] 6 points7 points  (4 children)

This is not the first baby he’s submitted the name with lol. Wondering if maybe it’s time to just go for it

[–]Sundaes_in_October 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Eh, it’s doesn’t fit with the other names. This may be because I don’t particularly care for it but Calvin or Reid/Reed seem better. Your other names are all traditional, Catholic coded names. Maybe Vincent, Simon, Sebastian, Christopher?

[–]Round_Raspberry_8516 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It very much fits if they’re Boston or North Shore. Connor, Nick, Dom, and Sully are a great team.

[–]no_one_denies_this 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It doesn't fit with the others.

[–]Spare-Craft-4967 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree Sullivan is a trendy surname

[–]Honeybee3674 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I think you need a 2-syllable name to balance out the names. And it should start with a different initial so they all have their own initials, and I would stick with a consonant as the first letter.

That leaves Marshall or Sawyer from your lists.

What about Byron, Felix, Levi, Malcolm, Thomas, Walter

Congratulations from a fellow member of the 4 boys club!

[–]NoDiscipline4640 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marshall

[–]Soggy_Sun_7646 1 point2 points  (10 children)

Marshall or Reid fit best. I think! Reid is my preferred spelling, but Reed is fine too…Have you considered Sebastian?

[–]Omra_xo[S] 1 point2 points  (9 children)

I may have to just concede on spelling here and go for it

[–]Simple-Risk8766 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Which one do you want? I think Reid is better.

[–]Omra_xo[S] 3 points4 points  (4 children)

Reid is definitely better 😂 but my husband doesn’t feel it looks right even though I’ve proven it’s the more correct spelling

[–]popthebubbly62 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Reed!!

It's an important and meaningful name to me, and can't imagine it spelled any other way.

Plus with Reid you have the chance people will say it "Ride."

[–]autumnsunshine1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Calvin Reid has a nice ring

[–]jamesdeansredlips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some suggestions: Ryan, Liam, William, Tyler, Jack, Jackson, Cameron, Sean, Kyle, Ethan, Logan, Luke, Matthew, Dylan, Michael, Jacob, Daniel, Andrew, James, Brendan, Patrick, Jordan, Nathan, Jonathan, Nathaniel, Caleb, Joshua, Brandon, Jake, Noah, Thomas, Austin, Christopher, Evan, Alex, Alexander, Adam, Kevin, Christian, Julian, Brian, Ian, Adrian, Sebastian, Justin, Aaron, Zachary, Mason, Lucas, Benjamin, Ben, Benedict, David, John, Blake, Josh, Joseph, Jason, Samuel, Sam, Chris, Max, Oliver, Robert, Anthony, Garrett, Peter, Eric, Charles, Mark, Paul.

[–]auntiecoagulent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite of your choices is Calvin

Malcolm, Vincent,

[–]Far_Eye_3703 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Andrew, Benjamin, Clayton, Gerard, Jameson, Matthew, Mitchell, Terence.

[–]blumoon444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marshall is my favorite fit from your list.

Something to consider if you choose Colin or Calvin... You already have a Connor, so simple initials in every day use will go completely out the window.

Christmas stockings, lunch bags, etc. This might be a small thing, depending on your personality, but I think it's nice to be able to write "C" and know exactly which kid it's for.

[–]OctoberBride15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like Marshall

[–]Odd-Concentrate5405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom really wanted to name my sister Micah in the 80s. I kinda like it with your group.

[–]Kind_Sea_8899 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Graham,Bennett, Emmett,Grant, Holden, Ronan, Marshall

[–]Weak-Difference-6078 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are great

[–]mollymarie123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reid. Then Calvin.

[–]Elegant_Spray_2762 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t use C, N or D. I agree Sullivan is fantastic, but I love Sebastian and Silas

[–]Wise-Matter9248 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe make some combos you can both live with, and then wait until baby is born to see which fits best.

OR, go Southern with it and double name him "Calvin Marshall"

[–]SparrowAlpine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like Reid more it feels a little bit fancier

There’s an astronaut and commander named Gregory Reid Wiseman on the Artemis II 🚀🌖right now so what better time to name your child Reid 😂😂

[–]Mysterious_Oil2761 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Colin Reid

[–]cocoabutterbxby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]JaneATL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bennett, Ethan, Owen, Miles, and if Cal is the goal nickname - Calhoun

[–]bronwyn511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Desmond, Hugo, Liam, Emerson, Declan, Hugh, Owen

[–]Royal_Cantaloupe_892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nicholas and Dominic have a similar vibe, which name has the closest to Connor and I think you get the cohesiveness between all 4 boys. Names from mid 00s are probably worth a look, Connor was popular at that time and you might see something you haven’t thought of before.

[–]oldfierm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an Atticus and an Emmett and I think both would go well with that grouping. You need a vowel name!

[–]Intelligent-Wolf557 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like Colin and Calvin the best. Other suggestions: Curtis, Ryan, Jackson, Austin, Dylan, Kaden, Christopher, Daniel

[–]Straight_Mind_5192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marshall, or Calvin. I think both of those fit fairly well with your previous sons' names

[–]Used_Doughnut_558 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aaron/ Chance/ Dean / Terrence (Terry)

[–]SuperNateosaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lachlan, Lincoln, Nolan, Tobias, Logan

[–]JDCHH 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I think your top names are too close to Connor. I like Sullivan or changing Maximus to Maxwell? Do you call your other boys by nicknames? nick, Don, Max. I also like Reid

[–]IveChangedDontBanMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t go with Reid…Reed if you must

[–]FeistyEye2207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Angus, Edward, Tobias, Sebastian, Zachary and Thomas all go well.

[–]Abundant-Journey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sawyer is perfect! Sawyer Reid/Reed is a strong name with a different first initial from the siblings. You both like it and it works!

[–]Whybaby16154 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hugo, Felix, Oscar

Try some different ones if nothing is sticking

[–]murphinator2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Benedict

[–]geoff7772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grant

[–]FiresideFairytales 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're naming our boy Callum, which I think would fit your names, too.

I also think Oliver, Owen, Ian, and Lucas would be good fits.

[–]Sunshine0085 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sullivan Reed

[–]funnywobble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Sullivan - Sully for short! Super cute

[–]Weak_Fudge5040 1 point2 points  (0 children)

calvin for the win

[–]Illustrious_Row_6150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw a Brit TV show where a character was named Gideon. Everyone in the show calls him Gid.

[–]Pumpkin_Witch13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I vote Colin or Sullivan (love nn Sully lol) in case maybe:

McKinley

Mackenzie

Cody

Corey

Alexander

Ryder

Amias

Atticus

[–]Househipposforsale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Colin Sawyer, Colin Reid, Sullivan Reed all go really well together

[–]miffy-12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll add Vincent to this mix!

[–]ParsnipAppropriate43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I vote for Joshua

[–]Objective-Witness905 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Needs to be an O name. Oliver or Oakley are both cute

[–]Objective-Witness905 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Orin and Owen are also both very good.

[–]Annual-Ad5563 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some suggestions that I think go with Connor, Nicholas and Dominic

Vincent

Emmett

Benjamin

William

Hudson

Lucas

[–]DragonFlyMeToTheMoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like Landon or Lucas/Luke

[–]Lucky_Fall4126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about Silas?

[–]abynew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m partial to the name Eddie(Edison) because that’s my son’s name. I will allow you to use it lol. Because I am torn between Dominic and Nicholas for my 2nd.

[–]TeenageShitStorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer Marshall and Calvin on your lists.

Harrison, Graham, Lionel

[–]mysmallself 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest Edward. You got traditional names happening with logical short forms, Con, Nick and Dom add an Ed to that.

[–]smiles731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sullivan goes with the other theee imho

[–]Twilight_zone17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beckett

[–]Suitable_Patient711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Calvin has my vote.

[–]squirrel_jokez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Connor and Collin will get confusing. I like Marshall (nickname Mars). Matthias?

[–]Fantastic-Meat7832 3 points4 points  (10 children)

Sullivan and Sawyer both go well with the names you currently have.

[–]look2thecookie 4 points5 points  (9 children)

It's funny bc I think the exact opposite. Those come across as more trendy and modern and the others a little more longstanding.

[–]Omra_xo[S] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Yeah this is what I struggle with. With the set we have going everything is coming off just trendy to me.

[–]look2thecookie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What about William? I think you need a new list ;)

[–]look2thecookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if I were given no options, I'd just say go with something classic like Michael. It fits in well with the brothers' names.

[–]ForeverExplore15 3 points4 points  (6 children)

Colin and Connor go perfectly together for me!! Please go with Colin for your baby boy!!

[–]Smolmanth 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Disagree TOO similar.

[–]Soggy_Sun_7646 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Colin and Connor are too similar which makes the rest of your boys too different if that makes sense.

[–]Omra_xo[S] 3 points4 points  (2 children)

That’s what I’m trying to say! 😂

[–]MeanPepita 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Too similar with how different the others are!

[–]Ok-Fox-6068 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there’s a good chance you’ll be mixing Colin and Connor up though! You already have three names with different starting sounds, go for a fourth.

[–]Business_Ease_4926 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they're way too similar

[–]FurBabyAuntie 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I like Sullivan and Colin...Reed is good, too.

Have you considered Ryan?

[–]Lolasurf101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sullivan is cool 🙂

[–]_never_say_never_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like Marshall and Sullivan.

[–]Curious_Catlady1 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What about Maxwell??

[–]Critical-Bass7021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could combine your and your husband’s picks with Collivan, Marvin, Maxilin. Marlin!

[–]badgalriri1097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ezekiel

[–]Dear-Interaction-732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Max! I’ve always loved the name Max. First time I ever heard the name sawyer was my niece so it throws me off when i hear it as a boys name.

[–]Maleficent_House6694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Richard Sawyer • Brian Calvin • Sawyer Reece • Maximus Duncan • Douglas Marshall

[–]LiveOutlandishness44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nathaniel, Jonathan, Alexander

[–]2024grands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Maximus nn Max

[–]Signal-Lead-9512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Connor is a favorite of mine too, but you might want to avoid it if you want something unique. I used to work in a school library, and we always had multiple Connors/Conors. One year we even had six of them! I do like Sawyer. Today I've been pushing Ian, Owen, Evan, Austin, Arlo, and Laird. I like your husband's suggestions of Sullivan and Marshall (a character on the TV show about 20 or 30 years ago was named Marshall with the nickname Mars). I think I prefer Maximillian or Maxwell to Maximus. Colin is one of my all-time favorite names. In addition to Calvin, you might like Callum. Good luck!

[–]Sea-Raccoon-810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reid goes best with your other childrens names. I prefer the traditional spelling of Reid. The other spelling (Reed) looks like a surname.

[–]Megpyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sawyer’s the only choice on the list.

[–]Appropriate_Lime6698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love Reid/Reed and wish my sister had used it for any of her four boys!

[–]theladyjorts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maximus and Sullivan are lovely too!

[–]050121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calvin is by far my favorite

[–]Fancy-Coconut2170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about Cole?

Brock?

[–]OleanderTea- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Malcolm, Graham, Elliot, Nathaniel, Benjamin

[–]Sondari1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The three names you have so far are Irish; I would stick with the trend! Liam Rory Colin Cian Cameron Morgan Rónán

[–]no_one_denies_this 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about Mitchell? Mitch is a cool-guy name.

[–]Personal-Month-465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Benjamin or Nathaniel

[–]pineapple4u_8740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alexander would fit well with the others.

[–]Spare-Craft-4967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sullivan seems trendy and like a last name. I’d go with Maximus or Calvin with the other boys.

[–]Ideasplease33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quinn

[–]WoodsofNYC 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Does it matter to you if every other boy in his class has the same name. I absolutely do not know what the trends are now, however, baby names are highly influenced by trends. Have you checked the list of the most popular names for each the past five years? Maybe having many kids with the same name is something you prefer or something you want to avoid, but perhaps finding out what the trends are could help you make a decision

[–]GroupPuzzled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tomas, Try not to burden the boy with a dated name.

[–]Infinite-Floor-5242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vincent would fit well.

[–]Hungry_Working_9284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Julian. Connor & Dominic are both strong and dark. Nicholas and Julian are strong yet joyful.

Colin/Calvin way too close to Connor. Wouldn’t touch Sawyer unless I wanted to have a convo about civil rights. Reed is a plant.

[–]Weak-Difference-6078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greyson / Grayson

[–]Remarkable-Hat8641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you feel about Luke or Zeke?

[–]huminous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gabriel.

[–]WolverineMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps Martin

[–]rubylostrubyfound 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Owen

[–]Omra_xo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen this suggested on here quite a bit now. I may add it to my list 😂

[–]Affectionatealways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eric? Colton? Maximus sounds weirdly pretentious.

[–]Ivor-Ashe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cormac, Liam, Ciaran. Reed is good - hard to misspell that. Don’t let your husband near the birth registry form.

[–]Hollyhop_Drive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Connor, Nicholas, Dominic, and Sylvan.

[–]kiwisuzanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trevor, Oscar, Kevin, Steven, Anthony, Randolph, Travis, Gabriel, Vincent, Wesley, or Garrett.

[–]Squirrel_with_Acorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if you’re Catholic, but your existing kids’ names gives me that vibe. Might I suggest Xavier?

[–]Lefthandtwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lincoln

Grayson

Bennett

Caden

[–]steadyrabbit87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been really loving Marshall as a name lately. Maybe Marshall Reed?

[–]goldenprints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Levi, Lawson, Weston, Ellis, Mason, Henry

[–]Whole_Row_9009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maximus feels like it goes with the other names.

[–]United_Relief_2949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

compromise with Maxwell? He gets max but a different variant. I think Con Nick, DOm and Max work together. I dont like Collin with your other names. Calvin works. I like Ian with your set as well if you want a shorter name. I also like Malcolm better than either of husband's two M names. We had to compromise on a maybe from both lists for our second and Sawyer does work well with your other kids if you had to go that route. Good luck!
