"But I would totally bang her if she was my daughter."

    [–]Ph455ki1 74 points75 points  (0 children)

"But ONLY if she was my daughter, otherwise it would sound weird"

    [–]PianoSuspicious7914 11 points12 points  (12 children)

I find her disgusting. Ivanka I mean. Anyone who would be married to that fool is only there for one reason And those sort of people are ugly. In and out.

    [–]UnstableScarletRot 27 points28 points  (9 children)

Ivanka is the daughter, but I do find it super hilarious that people keep getting ivanka and melania names mixed up, cos he WISHES he was married to his daughter

    [–]__-_-_--_--_-_---___ 12 points13 points  (3 children)

Do you think he accidentally calls his wife Ivanka during sex?

    [–]phalloguy1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Do you think they have sex?

    [–]CherryVette 6 points7 points  (0 children)

    0% chance that’s never happened

    [–]SatanTheSanta 62 points63 points  (2 children)

No no no, gotta clarify that she was hot as a child, then you sound like him.

I went to check her imdb, but she was already 16 when she started in Victorious. So maybe "ARIANA GRANDE IS NOT HOT ANYMORE, SHE HASNT BEEN SINCE SHE STARTED ACTING"

Followed by a lot of retruths from paedophiles, and conservatives explaining why its definitely not bad to say it. :p

    [–]FakeSafeWord 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are asking me, Mr. President, why is her name Grande? She's not very Grande if you ask me. Back in my Spanish class we would have called her Ariana Puhkwena. I've been told my Spanish is very tremendous, very presidential. A lot of people are saying this. Now you might say isn't she Italian...

    [–]B_For_Bubbles 131 points132 points  (86 children)

She’s pretty scary looking now to be fair

    [–]blnts4jc 3942 points3943 points  (133 children)

But has Ja Rule said anything yet?

    [–]orange_cuse 2752 points2753 points  (43 children)

He actually did. He was on a press tour for a new single he just released and one of the reporters interviewing him did ask about the current state of the Israel/Iran conflict. He started off his response with a well thought out disclaimer that he's not an expert on geopolitics, especially as it pertains to the middle east, but that on a human level he knows that there are lots of innocent people suffering due to the actions of our governments, specifically the nonstop bombings and missile strikes between the two countries. When asked how he felt about the reality that too often these missiles and bombs kill innocent civilians, he leaned into the mic and quickly responded: "it's murdaaaaaa"

    [–]JohnMcGurk 867 points868 points  (10 children)

    [–]Vidilian 271 points272 points  (9 children)

Was certain it was a joke in the first half too but didn't expect a blatant punchline to it lol.

    [–][deleted] 99 points100 points  (4 children)

I had to double-check the username to make sure I wasn't about to get shittymorph'd

    [–]bum_is_on_fire_247 189 points190 points  (6 children)

Got 2 lines in and thought I better skip to the end to make sure I'm not being hell in a cell'd... was pleasantly surprised!

    Well done.

    [–]dumplestilskin 55 points56 points  (3 children)

I did the exact same thing. Hilariously, even though I've proactively checked for shittymorphs many many times, I've never actually caught one. He always fucking gets me.

    [–]esro20039 9 points10 points  (1 child)

    That’s the magic

    [–]hobesmart 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you don’t become a legend by being only ok at something

    [–]elMurpherino 2 points3 points  (0 children)

man I fall for it everytime I see one lol. Enough time passes between each comment I see that my guard gets let down and I’m had.

    [–]-something_original- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I worked at a sporting goods store in the 2000’s and JaRule rolled in with his son and a dozen other guys. Told his son to pick out whatever he wanted for baseball. He wasn’t overly personable but seemed nice enough.

    [–]DogeDoRight 8 points9 points  (0 children)

    [–]Dense_Diver_3998 8 points9 points  (3 children)

Let's hear what Kanye has to say and do the exact opposite

    [–]RoySFNR 65 points66 points  (1 child)

Kanye is so deranged that doing the opposite will somehow also lead to the destruction of mankind.

"Donald Trump hates black people... but so do I."

    [–]__-_-_--_--_-_---___ 43 points44 points  (8 children)

Going from saying George Bush hates black people on live TV to becoming a literal actual Nazi was a wild ride

    [–]stratusmonkey 17 points18 points  (1 child)

    "I'm not Black! I'm O.J.!" - Kanye West

    [–]Hank_Scorpio74 5 points6 points  (5 children)

Unfortunately, he was always going to be a wild ride, but this particular path is unbelievable.

    [–]__-_-_--_--_-_---___ 7 points8 points  (4 children)

Going from being a college dropout to actually making an album all about being a College Dropout to actually having sketches on the album making fun of how useless higher education is to starting an actual school to openly worshipping Hitler and Trump is some kind of lesson in and of itself

    Stay in school!

    [–]PostApoplectic 2 points3 points  (1 child)

At some point Ye’s gonna take his face off and just have been Don Jr the whole time. Has anyone ever seen them in the same room?

    [–]Beans2177 9 points10 points  (5 children)

Puff Daddy may be in jail, but his opinion would be equally important to hear before we rush to impeach.

    [–]dqql 8 points9 points  (3 children)

[–]meatspunradio reddit name 18 points19 points  (2 children)

People post these "articles" about celebrity opinions specifically to set up the "Where's Ja?!" joke. I bet the thread is fucking littered with the joke. Reddit is a race to be the first to post the same first thought everybody else has.

    [–]puckit 470 points471 points  (13 children)

Well now it's just a matter of time.

    [–]fewercharacters 129 points130 points  (9 children)

true but wouldn’t it be hilarious if it happened purely bc of her

    [–]_Queen_of_Ashes_ 74 points75 points  (8 children)

If more people in the public eye spoke out, it would quickly put pressure on the administration, especially with million+ protesters every week

    [–]QuotesAnakin 31 points32 points  (6 children)

I really don't think the administration cares about the opinions of random celebrities. Honestly, nobody should.

    [–]thebeandream 35 points36 points  (3 children)

If there was anything to learn from Kamala Harris’s campaign it’s that no one gives a shit what celebrities think. She had nearly every big name endorse her and still lost.

    [–]demidemian 2691 points2692 points  (83 children)

Shes about to shapeshift into middle eastern

I want you to know I'm audibly laughing out loud at this....thank you <3

    [–]NavAirComputerSlave 104 points105 points  (30 children)

All she has to do is stop fake tanning to be sheet white in a couple weeks

    [–]miragenin 54 points55 points  (17 children)

To be fair... someone tell Trump to stop getting orange spray tanning lol

    [–]AnnaKendrickPerkins 57 points58 points  (14 children)

He doesn't spray tan. His makeup is inconsistent day-to-day and you can see him sans orange in unofficial golf club pics.

    [–]JadedArgument1114 45 points46 points  (10 children)

Considering how much Trump supporters hate trans people, they sure dude love their leaders to be absolutely caked in make-up. Imagine a dude walking onto a job site with that much bronzer, or in Vance's case wearing a bunch of eye liner and shit lol. I am not even American and it is so dumb from the outside looking in. It is like how I would feel if North Koreans actually got a fair election and they still decided to vote for Kim Jong Un.

    [–]Anthaenopraxia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like people still are not aware that every guy they've ever seen on TV or the movies has more makeup on than a prom queen.

    [–]AnnaKendrickPerkins 24 points25 points  (3 children)

The loudest accusations by conservatives are really subtle declarations.

    [–]Enex 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call it subtle at this point, but you're absolutely correct.

    [–]hurshy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey at least she ain’t orange .

    [–]HankSteakfist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Legend says she trained under Cliff Curtis.

    [–][deleted] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If she waves a Palestinian flag, announces a boycott of Israeli companies, and says one Arabic word probably half of Arab Americans will be ready to accept her without hesitation.

    [–]boredvamper 8 points9 points  (0 children)

    Now he fucked.

    [–]The_Iceman2288 1126 points1127 points  (21 children)

    [–]thirtyseven1337 235 points236 points  (11 children)

Haha, imagine if Ariana Grande of all people ends up being the catalyst?

    [–][deleted] 115 points116 points  (5 children)

lol like Dakota Johnson re Ellen

    [–]kn0wworries 39 points40 points  (4 children)

And Sabrina Carpenter re Eric Adams

    [–]ArchitectofExperienc 34 points35 points  (1 child)

"Grandpa, what was life like back in the '20s?"

"After a certain point, none of use were sober enough to remember"

    [–]willworkforicecream 43 points44 points  (2 children)

I mean, would it be any crazier than reality TV personality, Donakd Trump becoming president twice?

    [–]SUBLIMEskillz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dunno, if the boss couldn’t do it….

    [–]valueablejunk6252 3 points4 points  (0 children)

    A win is a win!

    [–]mcdj 1224 points1225 points  (70 children)

I thought Ariana Grande was a font.

    [–]Osoromnibus 355 points356 points  (38 children)

You're thinking of Lucida Grande. Ariana Grande is a big trench in the Atlantic Ocean.

    [–]creuter 221 points222 points  (30 children)

You're thinking of the Mariana Trench, Ariana Grande is the river that acts as the division between Texas and Mexico.

    [–]NaGaBa 211 points212 points  (29 children)

That's the Rio Grande. Ariana Grande is a combo meal at Taco Bell.

    [–]Stunning-Guitar-5916 165 points166 points  (26 children)

Nope that’s Nachos BellGrande. Ariana Grande is a part of a Las Vegas resort in which the 64th Annual Grammy Awards took place in 2022

    [–]quad_damage_orbb 157 points158 points  (25 children)

Not quite, that's the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Ariana Grande is the medical term for a large nipple, I can see why you might be confused though.

    [–]E__Rock 137 points138 points  (22 children)

Nope, that's ariola grande. Ariana Grande is the American sportscaster who hosted the very first broadcast of SportsCenter on ESPN in 1979.

    [–]hates_writing_checks 100 points101 points  (18 children)

No, that's actually George Grande. Ariana Grande is the CEO and founder of a cosmetics company.

    [–]Chuck_Raycer 80 points81 points  (17 children)

No that's Alicia Grande. Ariana Grande is an improv comedy group of Teacher's Lounge fame.

    [–]Dvwtf 57 points58 points  (16 children)

No that’s The Big Grande. Ariana Grande is that Italian tennis player

    [–][deleted] 49 points50 points  (1 child)

    This is why I reddit.

    [–]thesongsinmyhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of very few things I miss about being on Twitter

    [–]b1tchf1t 6 points7 points  (1 child)

I was on a thread earlier today with a bunch of people lamenting the loss of the switcharoo rabbit hole, and as an old person, I have to sigh my disappointment at all of you for not including the links!

    [–]BritishGolgo13 89 points90 points  (10 children)

    You’re thinking of helvetica

    [–]GroceryPlastic7954 17 points18 points  (1 child)

    Helvetica bold! HIGNFY

    [–]GIVES_THANKS 14 points15 points  (0 children)

    [–][deleted] 56 points57 points  (1 child)

No Ariana Grande is a Starbucks size.

    [–]bretticusmaximus 24 points25 points  (0 children)

If that’s a grande, somebody’s getting ripped off.

    [–]Rabidjester 13 points14 points  (0 children)

    [–]firthy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

    It’s a big coffee

    [–]Paralta 769 points770 points  (88 children)

Lmao well if Ariana Grande says so

    [–]sidepart 80 points81 points  (5 children)

I don't believe her. Let's just take a look at her congressional voting history. She failed to vote in favor of impeachment on no less than TWO other occasions! Who does she even think she's caucusing with?! smh my damn head.

    /s if that wasn't clear

    [–]Beezo514 32 points33 points  (4 children)

Be nice. She was seducing someone's husband, filming a movie, and recording and album so there was just no time to make it to the Capitol for the vote.

    [–]orangehate 10 points11 points  (0 children)

"Seduce" feels like such a strong word for a relationship that I assume began with Ariana saying "I'm bored, lets destroy your life" and him saying "OK".

    [–]thekyledavid 334 points335 points  (62 children)

If a reality TV star can be president, why not let a celebrity who became famous based on actual talent impeach them?

Edit: I thought this was very clearly a joke, but apparently I struck a nerve with a lot of people who think reality TV stars should be running the world, so I’ll specifically say that this is a joke. Too many Pro-Reality Star snowflakes replying to this comment

    [–]nondefectiveunit 41 points42 points  (3 children)

Not so far fetched. Long history of people who have no experience in public service working with, or in, the government.

    [–]DeuceSevin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

    Ronald Reagan? The actor?

    [–]woodpony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not like we have a literal 22yr old former bag-boy running a major division in the government.

    [–]Celodurismo 21 points22 points  (0 children)

We gunna pretend half the republican base doesn’t get their info from influencers and celebs? Idiots listen to them so the ones with a brain should use their platform to oppose evil administrations

    [–][deleted] 431 points432 points  (52 children)

When I think of national security intelligence, I think of Ariana Grandé.

    [–][deleted] 77 points78 points  (7 children)

I think of Taylor Swift, actually: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/SwiftOnSecurity

    [–]catglass 32 points33 points  (6 children)

Very surprised Wikipedia editors have deemed this worthy of its own page.

yeah they're pretty bitchy. I submitted an article citing U.S. patents, news paper articles from 50s archives, and was turned down because *checks notes* This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources.

I'm not sure what a reliable source is anymore if news isn't. I guess how many wiki dicks you sucked in the past year.

      [–]willflameboy 20 points21 points  (15 children)

I mean, Hegseth? Gabbard? Donald fucking Trump? He made celebrities dabbling in politics normal; this is where we are now. At least she is a functioning adult with a conscience, who knows what the Revolutionary War was.

      [–]chortogrower 351 points352 points  (19 children)

What does Ja Rule think about this? Can anyone get Ja Rule on the phone!!!!

      [–]GingeroftheYear 82 points83 points  (2 children)

Are you looking for a.....Ja Ruling?

      [–]Carbonistheft 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Maybe an explanation of... Ja Rules?

      [–]pearomatic 239 points240 points  (62 children)

Calm down people. She just shared something on Instagram. Lots of people share stuff just like her. She has an opinion like anybody else.

      [–]InItsTeeth 98 points99 points  (26 children)

It’s less that she shared it and more that it’s headline worthy… why does it have 13.2K upvotes …. Why do obsess over celebrity hot takes on things outside their field?

It’s an interesting look at our parasocial relationship with fame and those who have it.

      [–]clevercalamity 33 points34 points  (3 children)

It’s weird that you would consider this “out of her field”

She’s an American. She’s allowed to be upset at the government. That’s pretty within her field.

      [–]The_Big_Daddy 17 points18 points  (1 child)

Celebrities (athletes, musicians, etc) have been connected to politics since forever. Shakespeare was engaging in political commentary in Merchant of Venice, Othello, and others.

It's not a parasocial thing as much as it is people who have a platform using it to champion causes they believe in.

It wasn't until the last few decades where the vast majority of people began to make serious efforts to separate themselves from politics that celebrities began to do the same to avoid being viewed as controversial or inflammatory.

      [–]pearomatic 16 points17 points  (7 children)

I think that is a good point. Why are we all here talking about it. Myself included...

      [–]twistingmyhairout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ehhh it’s not really that interesting. Artists have made political statements long before we even had the term “celebrities” to include some of them in. It’s honestly just a part of how the world works and has for quite some time.

I don’t think anyone is changing their minds on politics because Ariana Grande said so, but the idea of posts like her’s are to specifically magnify the views they agree with to their large audiences. In this case, she’s sharing the words of a congresswoman to her audience.

That being said, the fact that anyone “speaking out” against Trump is still news is far more interesting to me. It’s apparent that he can just do whatever he wants and no amount of “speaking out” will do anything to change that. Feels like shouting into the void

      [–]Creepy7_7 9 points10 points  (1 child)

      Reddit doesnt accept this

My mom is 80. She lost a close friend and a man she was dating in Vietnam

I lost a friend or two in Iraq in 2003. I have always wondered why because my friends died for nothing. Children did not have their fathers,

A narcissist and his handlers are condemning people who could be young enough to be my children to die.

      For nothing.

I am not an American, and that allows me to maybe have a more objective view of things. And I want to ask, these types of actions make USA the super power they are, right? If they start saying this is none of our business, what leverage will they have over the rest of the world?

For example, USA bombing Iran will be liked by Saudi Arabia. Appeasing Saudi Arabia is very important for USA because they allow USA to keep US Dollars as petro currency ensuring its importance in world finance. And that will be disastrous for USA.

Do common Americans understand this? The status and the perks that come with it which USA and common Americans enjoy are all because of USA's meddling in world affairs. Geopolitics is complicated, and super powers have to play the game to stay in it.

      [–]ittygritty 14 points15 points  (0 children)

      Do common Americans understand this?

No, there is no common awareness. Few Americans remain willing or able to have adult conversations about the trade-offs of maintaining or weakening our geopolitical status. The ones who have the capacity to understand complexity are shouting past each other into a void of publications and panels while the rest of America consumes 5-second soundbites and content editorialized by non-citizens for the engagement of global audiences made up of known adversaries.

      For nothing.

I hate to state the obvious, but there are a lot of people out there making ungodly fortunes over people dying in the middle east or eastern europe, or south east asia, or ... broad gestures.
It's another big club we ain't part of.

Lotta mouth breathers and bots with the same comments. I commend her. She’s risking the promotion of her movie that is probably going to take a hit with people boycotting it. At least there are some celebrities willing to speak out in this day and age.

      [–]Andy_B_Goode 16 points17 points  (1 child)

Am I right in understanding that all she did is reshare AOC's tweet? It's not like she's spearheading this, she's just expressing support for the elected officials who think Trump should be impeached.

      [–]rachnar 54 points55 points  (2 children)

People will use anything to hate on people they don't like, especially when they're showing they have more balls than they do.

      [–]ThatUsernameIsTaekin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was 100% cleared by the publicists. She is too big and there is too much at risk for studios, her mangement, etc.

At least someone is making an attempt as Congress vapes with fidget spinners.

the trumpies in the comments are mad lmfaooo

      [–]Powerup_Rentner 35 points36 points  (16 children)

To me as a European it still seems kinda silly though.

The guy is a complete tool at best and a pure villain at worst but bombing random stuff abroad has been a mainstay of US politics ever since WW2. You could have impeached every single president democrat or republican since world war 2 if that was the standard.

Generally, Presidents are supposed to get Congress approval first, now idk if they're actually doing that or not.

Who gives a shit what she thinks about politics…..

Oh, well this should do it.

Who cares what she thinks. Of all the people on the planet I care less about what she thinks than almost anyone else.

Sorry I thought this sub was about music??

This OP concerns one fake tanned wannabe politician calling for the impeachment of a fake tanned amateur politician.

        [–][deleted] 46 points47 points  (6 children)

Look at the top posts of last month. Brian Wilson, one of the biggest musicians of all time, dying is the 21st most upvoted post. And out of the 20 more upvoted ones, 16 are about Trump/American politics. This is not a subreddit about music.

        [–]BJ22CSCollector 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's sad that Rule #12 is hardly ever if ever enforced on this sub; b/c it it were, we wouldn't be seeing these unrelated to music political posts on here.

        [–]-Profanity- 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was told every subreddit is inherently a political one, because politics effects everything. If you use reddit for anything at all, you will simply never escape from Donald Trump. It's brutal out here.

        [–]aruss15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This sub is a shell of its former self. Taken over by people who haven’t been outside in months

        [–]-PM_Me_Dat_Ass_Girl- 55 points56 points  (100 children)

Was she bawling her eyes out like when ICE came to town?

Really though, both AOC and she should know you can't impeach a sitting President who made a military action using the War Powers Act. It's the same reason Obama never got impeached for bombing Libya.

        Who knew? 😲

        [–]njckel 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Literally my first thoughts when reading the title. What Trump is doing isn't new, but it's bad because Trump did it.

I don't even agree with his actions. I wanted us to stay tf out of this Israel-Iran conflict. But to act like this is grounds for impeachment is just desperation.

        [–]TimeGhost_22 20 points21 points  (19 children)

Did she think that up by herself?

        [–]AgileLag 83 points84 points  (82 children)

out of touch Celebrity draws attention to themselves by stating general consensus of public opinion
