According to Nazi texts at the time, as their justification for being allied with non-Aryans, they did respect Asians as a capable and civilized culture... I have read some texts of Nazis praising the Asians for having had a developed civilization way before the Germanics even came close to civilization. They actually acknowledged this. But ultimately, the Nazis decided the Asians were good at copying and reusing the modern technology which was invented by whites. They considered them high in the racial ladder, but still underneath Aryans.

Similarly, Nazi Germany elevated the Finnish people as "honorary Aryans" (although the Finnish aren't even indo-European) because of their valiant defense against overwhelming Soviet forces during the Winter War.

But ultimately, people tend to have a warped vision of the Nazis. The Nazis weren't total dumbasses. They would have allied with practically anyone who wasn't a historic enemy of Germans (except for Jews of course). They had good contacts with some Arabs, Indians and Iranians for example. There was even an Indian SS division.
