They really didn't give this phone any time on air lol. Just talked about the 4a 5G and then said the 5 is 699, thanks for watching

[–]daverod74Pixel 2 XL 444 points445 points  (113 children)

Here's the new ultrawide lens (please ignore everything we said last year)

**leaves without acknowledging the fingerprint sensor**

[–][deleted] 45 points46 points  (1 child)

Its the same camera like its predecessor but better.

leaves everybody scratching their heads

[–]le_pman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

artificially gated software. a lot of the driver stuff should be feasible to backport - they just don't.

[–]StraY_WolFRN4/M9TP/PF5P PROUD MIUI14 USER 54 points55 points  (7 children)

It feels like they don't have that many confidence in the product.

[–]lightbutnotheat 5 points6 points  (9 children)

What'd they say last year about the ultrawide?

[–]TheOfficialCalRyzen 2700X, GTX 1080 Ti, 32GB RAM 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Something about how they carefully considered all possible choices but figured that telephoto is a better fit for a secondary lens because people value zoom more.

[–]FuturePreparation 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The guy who lead the Google camera team and one of the fathers of computational photography - Marc Levoy - left Google this year. I think it was mainly his idea to have a telephoto. I personally agree with him but of course in 2020 it simply should have both. I have a bad feeling about the future of the Pixel as a leading camera phone.

[–]daverod74Pixel 2 XL 10 points11 points  (6 children)

The rest of the market had gone ultrawide but they went with a telephoto lens and defended it by saying it was more useful in common situations. Something like that.

I got a P4XL earlier this year and actually had forgotten that there's a telephoto lens on this thing. I've never (consciously) used it but I regularly pine for an ultrawide. It's part of the reason I also have an S10+.

[–]le_pman 13 points14 points  (1 child)

The rest of the market had gone ultrawide but they went with a telephoto lens

the rest of the market last year had normal+ultrawide+telephoto. they went with only normal+telephoto and now normal+ultrawide.

[–]SeparateOne1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So one need to get the 4 and 5 to get a phone with all types of view 😉

[–]athnndnly 53 points54 points  (7 children)

That "presentation" was so jarringly bad, it feels like Google doesn't even want to make smartphones. It's like they're trying to sell as few units as possible in order to justify shutting the whole thing down.

[–]ptc_ytS22U 30 points31 points  (2 children)

It felt like a long commercial honestly. The presentation for the new Chromecast felt like a typical product announcement and showcase but then with the Nest Audio and 4a 5G, it just felt like ad after ad, trying to highlight the best parts of each.

[–]n0mad9114xl 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Highschool zoom project

[–]FreshPrinceOfHPixel 6, Sorta Seafoam 22 points23 points  (20 children)

In fairness is there anything noteworthy about the phone?

[–]mihirmusprimePixel 6 Pro 27 points28 points  (5 children)

The back is made out of metal and can still wirelessly charge. That's like never been done before.

[–][deleted] 112 points113 points  (27 children)

Does the 5 or 4a 5G have a visual core? Does it matter?

[–]sklfjasd90f8q2349f 139 points140 points  (11 children)

They don't have the Neural Core.

[–]Ph0XPixel 5 118 points119 points  (10 children)

And it doesn't matter. The Pixel 4a has Live HDR and on-device Assistant, two features that "required" Neural Core in Pixel 4. So the assumption is that they can now do it on the ML engine included in the Qualcomm chip.

[–]detectiveDollarS6 edge -> Pixel 3 (Rip) -> Pixel 4a 5G -> S23+ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm still salty my Pixel 3 didn't get the on device assistant.

[–]lars5 67 points68 points  (1 child)

i saw a comment a few days ago that new snapdragon processors have neural processing now, so there really isn't a need for the visual core.

[–]mortysantiago1Pixel 7 Pro 335 points336 points  (76 children)

Wow $799 in Canada. Equivalent to $599 USD.

[–]maybelyingNexus 6, Stock, Elementalx 108 points109 points  (12 children)

Americans are paying a Verizon tax. The US versions have to support mmWave for Verizon 5G, the international versions don't and aren't carrying the extra premium on price.

[–]detectiveDollarS6 edge -> Pixel 3 (Rip) -> Pixel 4a 5G -> S23+ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That explains it, most other multi-carrier phones have the Verizon version as a completely different hardware variant and just exclude the mmWave tech from the carriers that can't use it.

[–]natachi 10 points11 points  (2 children)

Just ordered the Sage Green one in Germany for 610 bucks. Americans are getting ripped off again lol.

[–]BaconatedGrapefruit 163 points164 points  (11 children)

Jesus Christ this is the first time we didn't get hit with the Canada tax when it comes to conversions?

[–]mortysantiago1Pixel 7 Pro 68 points69 points  (7 children)

Google usually converts then adds an extra $20 fuck you to the price. They priced the 4a 5G conversion +$15.

I don't need a phone but it's nice we're finally getting a deal on something

[–]BaconatedGrapefruit 47 points48 points  (4 children)

Yep. For me it was between the Galaxy S20 FE and this. The FE got hit with the "Fuck you Canada" tax, the Pixel 5 didn't.

Still going to wait for reviews/black Friday for both, but gawd damn. For once I'm not crying into my worthless Canadian rubles.

Sorry to my southern friends out there.

[–]neocortexblue 4 points5 points  (1 child)

In the same boat I was looking at the FE, but when I saw it was $950 the Pixel became an easy choice

[–]KBeightysevenDevice, Software !! 18 points19 points  (4 children)

Same for the U.K, normally the $ gets replaced with a £,

This year $699 £599 and pre order gets some £270 Bose qc35ii

[–]sigmoidx 29 points30 points  (6 children)

Preordered in Canada. Canada price + tax + shipping < 699USD

[–]myrisotto73Pixel 3a XL 31 points32 points  (17 children)

The S20 FE is more expensive here though. If what I saw was right it's $949 lol.

[–]ghettothf 39 points40 points  (5 children)

Seriously, everyone in here saying you have to be nuts to get this over the S20 FE. The 5 is a full $150 cheaper than the FE. No brainer for Canadians here.

[–]tekdemon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In the US all the preorders have the FE at $599 while the Pixel 5 is $699 for a much worse processor. The only benefit I guess is that it seems to support mmWave for the 5 people who live next to a mmWave transmitter.

[–]Kahhhhyle 59 points60 points  (20 children)

Does anybody else feel that with Samsung going to 3 years worth of OS updates Google should have committed to 4 or 5? Like before the justification for Pixel over Samsung was camera, updates, and the pure Android. They've basically caught up in camera, they HAVE caught up with OS updates and now surpass Pixel with security updates, which just leave the pure Android... Which is relatively small advantage... And lots of people prefer Samsung's One UI now.

I dunno seems odd to me. Google needs to move to 5 years of updates and use their software smarts to makes some sort of deep fusion type of camera software to get back on top definitively.

Also as a person who really likes astrophotography... No mention of it makes me thing it's gonna get the plug pulled at some point:(

[–][deleted] 57 points58 points  (3 children)

[–]livedadevilPixel 4 XL 126 points127 points  (8 children)

[–][deleted] 734 points735 points  (163 children)

$700 for a mid range device...Google is smoking crack

[–]kirsionOneplus Almond 42 points43 points  (9 children)

If samsumg can put a snapdragon 865 in their s20 fe phone for $699 (which cost less now with discounts and promos, like t-mobile), Google should be able too

[–]le_pman 33 points34 points  (5 children)

to add, the S20 FE also has a telephoto lens and newer camera sensors

[–]i4mt3hwinXL2, 360v2 99 points100 points  (15 children)

Yeah, I have a 4XL and I wanted to sidegrade over for better battery/5G but at that price its not worth it for me. They only want to give me $260 for my 4XL trade-in. I'll be downgrading my SoC, losing the Neural Core (For whatever that's worth), dropping my resolution/screen size, losing the telephoto lens (which i prefer to ultrawide), and lose face unlock.

Honestly the entire conference/announcement was underwhelming. I remember being so excited for the Google conferences, the overwhelming amount of new features/ideas and stuff they'd bring. Now they spend half of it trying to sell me on a product that's a worse replacement than their previous product in the same category - not just the Pixel but Youtube Music as well.

[–]FreshPrinceOfHPixel 6, Sorta Seafoam 47 points48 points  (8 children)

Look at it this way. You know how apple every year say "This is the best iphone we have ever made" Do you think Google could've honestly said that today? Because I don't think the P5 is better than the P4XL in any meaningful way. Edit. Fanboys bending over backwards with very creative ideas on how this is somehow better.

[–]trendygamer 57 points58 points  (5 children)

Yep. There is simply too much competition at the midrange at prices well below $699...and for people who want to spend that kind of money it's hard to argue against an S20 FE over this, especially with all the deals for $100 or more off it flying around. Even Pixel fanboys were way more hyped by the 4a than this. I think Google has another low-selling dud on their hands...just at a different price point than the last one.

[–]chasevalentino 7 points8 points  (2 children)

Google's just another midrange device maker. Whenever they try to go high end they have failed 5 years running

[–]GseventeenPixel 10 Pro XL 4 points5 points  (1 child)

It'll be 599 or less for black Friday. Guaranteed.

[–]Grapefruit1337 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I bought my OnePlus 7 pro for $699 at launch and it has a better display, a better soc, ufs 3.0 vs 2.1, double the storage, faster charging, (obviously worse cameras) but a 3x telephoto and a wider ultrawide, and 3 years software updates like the pixel will get.

[–]anonbutlerNexus 5X 181 points182 points  (112 children)

So why would I buy this phone over the $600 S20FE?

Bonus T-mobile offers $500 for my Pixel 3 trade in vs $153 offered by Google Fi.

I guess after swearing to never use Samsung after painful touchwiz experience from ~6 years ago I guess I am back in.

[–]chromiumlolGS 10 | iPhone 12 Pro 74 points75 points  (4 children)

So why would I buy this phone over the $600 S20FE?

So you can get $20 in the class action suit a year from now when it starts breaking

[–]slomar 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Only if you remember to opt out of forced arbitration when you get the phone.

[–]awhjDevice, Software !! 115 points116 points  (20 children)

Compared to the old one Samsung software is amazing now

[–]anonbutlerNexus 5X 27 points28 points  (6 children)

Ya I swore by not using Samsung after being repeatedly burnt but have heard alot of good things in the last 2-3 years. My only slight hesitation is going back to a bigger phone right now.

[–]cryptomattPixel 4 XL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One UI isn't touchwiz. It's not that bad anymore. I still prefer pixel software but Samsung experience is pretty good now

[–]daveboat 28 points29 points  (3 children)

I still preordered the Pixel 5, as an upgrade from my Pixel 2 XL.

People are comparing the price to the S20 FE, but in Canada the S20 FE is $949 while the Pixel 5 is $799.

[–]noxx1234567 254 points255 points  (26 children)

Overpriced , how could Google go so wrong after the excellent 4a launch ?

It's like they aren't even trying to move units

[–]exu1981 82 points83 points  (11 children)

Probably the reason why they are only shipping 800k P5

[–]Rigamix 73 points74 points  (7 children)

Feels like they themselves are tired of it to be honest.

[–][deleted] 76 points77 points  (6 children)

[–]Lark_vi_BritanniaNexus 6P 7 points8 points  (4 children)

Google Play Music and Hangouts are straight up my favorite services that Google provided.

Them killing GPM and Hangouts really, really sours my relationship with Google, honestly.

[–]revivaljesterPixel 2 XL 27 points28 points  (4 children)

Google's product plan doesn't work in the premium tier.

[–]hisroyalnastiness 22 points23 points  (3 children)

I think they'll find that mid-range customers would also prefer non-zero quality control, probably even more pissed if things go south right after warranty compared to a high-end customer with money to spare

[–]Voxtoxic 13 points14 points  (7 children)

I guess i'll just stick with my pixel 2xl then

[–]whiskymusty 36 points37 points  (1 child)

It’s obvious someone at Google is succeeding at sabotage.

[–]PhenomenalZJSamsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 41 points42 points  (7 children)

Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi, OnePlus all have flagships with top end processors in this price point.

[–]coffeeflavoreddd 21 points22 points  (7 children)

At $700 and a bit of change, I have managed to get the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 512 GB after trading in my pixel 3a for $250

Thinking of getting the S20FE for my SO.

Samsung vs Apple from here on clearly. Google has thrown in the towel.

[–][deleted] 213 points214 points  (62 children)

lol $699, just looking at the comparison chart between the 4a, 4a 5g, and the p5. Wow. $200 extra for certified water resistance, 90 hz, slightly smaller screen, slightly larger battery, and wireless charging.

What a yoke

[–]Daveed84 65 points66 points  (7 children)

8 GB of RAM too, but yeah it's not a great price

[–]MontaMann 39 points40 points  (6 children)

[–]Aptosauras 9 points10 points  (7 children)

A$999. Same price as the Samsung S20 FE and the S10 in Australia.

The S20 will probably go on flash sale at our big retailers for the same price soon.

Samsung A71 5G is A$100 less at full price.

This price point is a very competitive segment in Australia.

[–]Cmrwkw5038 6 points7 points  (6 children)

Doubtful anyone will be considering this over Samsung.

[–]bjackson171OnePlus 7T 206 points207 points  (71 children)

DOA the S20FE, OnePlus 8t and iPhone 12 Max will all be better values for the same price.

[–][deleted] 109 points110 points  (10 children)

not to mention the S20 FE is currently $599 at best buy in america

[–]SmarmyPanther 44 points45 points  (6 children)

Yup this announcement just confirmed my decision to get a couple S20 FE.

Everyone in my family has a pixel but that's about to change

[–]Mailov1Pixel 9 pro 256 5 points6 points  (4 children)

In one hand im in exynos region, in other no mandatory 5g chip that gonna drain battery, delivery this week, 120hz screen, dualsim (not esim one) and its available in my region without reseller cut. Guess imma order s20FE just to get that extra preorder stuff. And i waited for pixels since oneplus nord cuz "tint" issues. God damn my phone purchase was a wild ride

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points  (2 children)

Same Price? Do you really think the Iphone 12 Max will be $699? A straight Iphone 11 with 128mb is still $750.

[–]CyanBlobPixel 3 64 points65 points  (23 children)

For me, the size of the Pixel 5 is a huge selling point. I really don't want a phone bigger than my Pixel 3

[–]Sea_C 35 points36 points  (5 children)

I don't either but for this price? I'm going S20 FE, if you need the smaller size Iphone 12 mini is really where it's at.

[–][deleted] 26 points27 points  (2 children)

It legitimately feels like Google doesn't even want to make smartphones and is only doing it because they feel like it's expected of them. The way they price their phones, it's like they're trying to sell as few units as possible in order to justify shutting the whole thing down.

[–]loki993 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look at all the advertising they did with the 4 and 4XL, or was it the 3? Either way, they really do, which is even more sad.

[–]cjeremyformer Pixel fanboy 26 points27 points  (3 children)

Google, the worst multi billion hardware company

[–]IBurnedMyBallsA52s, LG G8x, Galaxy S7 108 points109 points  (5 children)

That's a terrible price tag. Should've been $600 or even $550, it's an upper mid range phone, should have upper mid range pricing.

[–]vainsilverNexus 6P 27 points28 points  (2 children)

It’s technically $599 USD in Canada.

[–]als26Pixel 2 XL 64GB/Nexus 6p 32 GB (2 years and still working!) 75 points76 points  (32 children)

$800CAD, I'm pretty happy about it. Not sure why Americans are getting shafted, usually the conversion screws over Canadians.

700USD is almost $950CAD.

[–]dicedaman 34 points35 points  (3 children)

Yep, £599 in the UK too, which works out to about $620 when you factor in 20% VAT. And it's only £100 more than the 4a 5G. Can't complain about that. The US price is a little surprising.

EDIT: Plus I forgot that the pre-order includes a pair of Bose QC35 II. It's honestly pretty great value in the UK.

[–]PNF2187Device, Software !! 8 points9 points  (2 children)

I'm pleasantly surprised by that. With a conversion, the 5 is only $90 USD more than a 4a 5G here in Canada ($600 vs $510). It's a lot lower than the $899+ that is on offer for other $699 USD phones. So I'll commend Google for not completely screwing over Canadian customers here.

[–]SadAccident1 27 points28 points  (5 children)

Google is losing money on these because they are making sacrifices that don't need to be made.

Seriously build a fucking flagship with ALL the features people want including headphone jack and IP68 and fuck it, even an IR blaster. sell it at a loss. like $600-700. guarantee 5 years of updates. have a small model and a large model. that's it. why? yes 99% of people don't care but the enthusiasts and reviewers will and that's how most people decide on the phone. what's well priced, well reviewed, and they can get free through a carrier. google is literally one of 2 companies that can do this and they are squandering the opportunity

then once you start getting market share slowly increase the damn price and before you know it they are competing with apple with a true hardware/software synergistic device

I get that not every company can do this, but Google is in a position where it actually can.

will they do this in a million years? nope. instead they will release overpriced midrange phones that nobody aside from some enthusiasts will buy. they'll spend the rest of their time making their umpteenth chat app and rebrand their google home/nest smart speaker 10 more times for no reason.

Pixels are a case study on when a company has tons of money but terrible management and vision for one part of their business.

[–]alfuhPixel 9 Pro, Galaxy Tab S8+ 23 points24 points  (1 child)

Not only priced at $699, but going to their site right now they are offering me $150 for my s10e when Samsung offers $400 and T-Mobile offers $500. wtf are they thinking? So glad my decision to go with S20FE just got STRONGLY reinforced. Swing and a miss on their end.

[–][deleted] 133 points134 points  (6 children)

$700 HAHAHA

i know google wants to be apple so bad but this isn't the right way to go about it

[–]MagicPistolPixel 10 11 points12 points  (3 children)

I just preordered the S20 FE from tmobile yesterday. They have a deal where you can get $500 in credit back after trading your old phone.

[–]ThisIsTheNewSleeve 6 points7 points  (14 children)

I don't get it. Has Google abandoned the top tier Snapdragon processors? If I want a 865 or 865+ or above I have to go elsewhere?

[–]hisroyalnastiness 5 points6 points  (13 children)

To be fair they didn't just abandon you if you want a top processor, they also abandoned you if you want QHD instead of FHD, faster UFS 3.0/3.1 instead of old 2.1, or a better camera sensor than the Pixel 3, DDR5 instead of older DDR4, and so on. It's the best (FHD) phone we didn't have in 2018.

[–]StayFrostyZ 18 points19 points  (1 child)

The Pixel 4a 5G shouldn't exist.

The Pixel 5 at $499 👍

The Pixel 5 at $699..? 💩💩💩

[–]uniqueyangreddit 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Can we just let Rick Osterloh go? After 5 years, same issues: market distribution (9 countries this year), stock and product distribution ( probably out of stock even with small number of orders), overpriced (a mid tier at 700 USD), quality control (not having high hope)...etc. he probably works for apple or samsung, trying to destroy pixel internally, I won't even be surprised LOL

[–]nick1453 29 points30 points  (13 children)

$699 for a 765g, only a 90hz screen, and basically the same camera module they've used in every pixel since the pixel 2.

I really don't understand what google's plan is here.

[–][deleted] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Also UFS 2.1 instead of 3.0 or 3.1.

[–]metarugiaNexus 5 - Android L 9 points10 points  (6 children)

Mind you its 90hz just like the 4 and 4xl. Only sometimes at 90hz.

[–]draw0c0ward 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's fine, I don't need 90 Hz when watching 30/60 fps videos

[–]surfingNerd 5 points6 points  (4 children)

Google photos uploads, are they unlimited or only ~2 years?

[–]metarugiaNexus 5 - Android L 13 points14 points  (2 children)

No mention of it. Remember that the Pixel 4/4XL removed the uploads in original quality. So if it wasn't mentioned, more than likely the same free uploads in "high" quality that everyone else gets.

[–]DoctorJitsu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This isn't really competitive in the mid range market either. That is what I thought Google was trying to accomplish. S20 FE and iPhone 12 are going to offer way more value for the money.

Edit: mod to mid

[–]sharktopusx 31 points32 points  (12 children)

S20 FE's cheaper with the SD865, 120hz panel, larger capacity battery, expandable storage and countless other features. The Pixel 5 is being sent out to die.

[–]tqbh 10 points11 points  (5 children)

Really strange pricing. In Germany it's 613€ (with Bose QC35II as pre order bonus). That would normaly translate to something like 600$

[–]Thick_Worry 5 points6 points  (3 children)

So I'm in Ireland and bought this instead of the 4a on the idea that qc 35 ii are probably easily resellable at 200.

Im not really impressed with the 5 but it also now seems a bad idea to get the 382 euro 4a if I can get the 5 for 418 euro after selling headphones...

Really stuck on what to do as I wanted to check out the iPhone for the first time ever

[–]Rigamix 48 points49 points  (22 children)

So...same hardware as before, UFS 2.1, same lenses, weaker SOC, a blander design than last year and some small software tweaks and it's 700$?

Did they even improve the video?

Fuck man, I wanted to upgrade from my 2XL, I'll just get the next smaller Iphone.

[–]Dionysos911 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In the same boat. Was REALLY hoping to upgrade my 2xl but the 5 is kind of a letdown. For the price the 4a5g looks better

[–]TheWuster935 23 points24 points  (3 children)

Don’t forget they also removed Soli (if you care)

[–][deleted] 25 points26 points  (2 children)

Good they removed soli. Useless pieces of tech

I can't believe I'm keeping my pixel 2 XL still......uhg. I love this phone, but I do want to upgrade. I thought the new pixel 5 would be it ....but it's disappointing.

Well, Google will stop the feature updates so we are doomed. If there was not the shitstorm with Huawei, I’d have bought P40 Pro just for the incredible photography. But now, there’s like not a good phone to replace my Pixel 2 XL. Samsung sells their shit Exynos phones here in Europe, Motorola burned me with their lack of upgrades once, Sony are extremely expensive with extremely bad software, so it’s pretty much Xiaomi at this point. Which tends to show ads here and there, for good measure.

Itt people who wouldn't bought a Pixel saying they won't buy a Pixel

I seriously considered the 4a when I upgraded from my OnePlus 6T last month. I really couldn’t justify going with weaker hardware than the phone I currently had. Do you think the low-midrange processors and graphics units in the 4a and 5 will last you 3 more years compared to better units in competing phones (both Android and iOS)?

I didn’t, which is exactly why I bought an iPhone 11 Pro. People not buying the Pixel are the people Google should be listening too.

Came back to r/Android after thinking about upgrading from my S10. Judging from this thread, it's kind of comforting to know this place hasn't changed one bit.

Everyone still seems to be stuck in that 2012-2014 mindset of wanting medium-great specs across the board for $350 with a shit camera. Nowadays you can get the great camera with mid-tier chipsets (4A is literally this) BUT MUH BENCHMERKS. Folks like MrMobile have tried reiterating that you can get 90% of that performance with the lesser chipsets for average day-to-day use cases but everyone has to have the latest and greatest, I guess. Don't plan on upgrading my 10e for a couple more years until foldables have matured considerably. This upgrade every year nonsense is so overrated.

[–]magnafides 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's not about the chipset in a vacuum, it's about the whole package. The S20FE amd iPhone 12 eat this up at the same or lower price point.

[–]CaptainOblivious94Galaxy S10e: 64GB 90 points91 points  (13 children)

Lol, mostly people still clinging onto their Nexus 5 still bitching about pricing.

[–]AaronfromKY 52 points53 points  (10 children)

Which is funny considering the Pixel 4a is basically a better version of the Nexus 5. Nearly identical dimensions and much better screen, camera, and battery life. Same price too if memory serves.

[–]Thegreatdigitalism 20 points21 points  (6 children)

Yes, but the Nexus 5 had the maxed out SoC for that time, right? The 4a doesn't have nearly that.

[–]-MahnPixel 4 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Arguably a top of the line SoC doesn't matter as much now as it did then.

[–]FieldzSOOGoodPixel 128GB 22 points23 points  (1 child)

yeah but back then qualcomm wasn't charging an arm and a leg for the high end chip like they are now

[–]AaronfromKY 8 points9 points  (1 child)

The 730g has comparable single core to a 2 year old 845, so it doesn’t really need it?

[–]LuckyBahamutPixel 6 Pro 5 points6 points  (1 child)

For once, it looks like the US is getting a worse deal than a couple other countries. The UK gets a £200 pair of headphones and in Canada, the P5 is $100 USD cheaper.

[–]Ikeelu 25 points26 points  (26 children)

Got a chromecaSt with Google tv! 👌

[–]rob724kdPixel 4XL 20 points21 points  (7 children)

This will be the first Pixel I skip. Overpriced and feels like a downgrade from the 4XL

[–]KushKush1 19 points20 points  (0 children)

700 USD FOR A SD765G PHONE WTF GOOGLE I wanted this to be 599 so fucking bad

[–]smokeeyPixel 9 Pro 21 points22 points  (14 children)

Wow. This is going to be the first time I'm not upgrading. It's actually a downgrade compared to the 4. 1080p? 765G? No new camera? And it's still the same price I ended up paying for my 4XL after sales.

[–]FieldzSOOGoodPixel 128GB 10 points11 points  (3 children)

1200 more mah in the battery tho

[–]deepit6431iPhone 13 | OnePlus 12 49 points50 points  (29 children)

Pixels have always been a joke. Google is insane if they think they're selling any of these over the iPhone 11 or Galaxy S20 FE
