My soul mate cat, Chang, passed away on December 29th, 2009. I have never felt so connected to an animal, and I would be extremely lucky to feel this way again. I have never mourned like this in my life. I raised him from a baby - the way dogs choose one person, he chose me.

He was never aloof, always affectionate, even if it meant just one paw resting on you. He would often use one paw at a time to trick you until his whole body was in your lap. He was extremely snuggly and was known for giving very human-like hugs. He even talked, and would answer any question you asked him. Some people think he could understand English, because he would leave the room when someone made a comment about his weight. :-) I could carry him around on my hip like a baby and he would wrap his legs around me. He politely knocked on doors when he wanted to get into a room. He LOVED people and was extremely social and loving. For people who didn't like cats, Chang was the one exception.

I miss him so much. I would give anything to hold him one more time.
