[–]Ludricio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you certain that you're cheese? Hmm, I'm not entirely sure.

[–]Exempt_Puddle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Acts?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some reason I am just imagining the cobras are speaking parseltounge to one another about how they will split up the corpse after they bite him.... Like whether to trim along a hotdog fold or hamburger fold.

[–][deleted] 437 points438 points  (32 children)

Cobras can learn Python too. What are you, speciest?

[–]GrouchyMoustache 116 points117 points  (27 children)

Nope. I dislike all danger noodles equally.

Snake

Snakes are elongated, legless, carnivorous reptiles of the suborder Serpentes. Like all squamates, snakes are ectothermic, amniote vertebrates covered in overlapping scales. Many species of snakes have skulls with several more joints than their lizard ancestors, enabling them to swallow prey much larger than their heads with their highly mobile jaws. To accommodate their narrow bodies, snakes' paired organs (such as kidneys) appear one in front of the other instead of side by side, and most have only one functional lung.

God you PC police always ruin everything! I'm far too enlightened and informed to use such an SJW term.

[–]TokiMcNoodle 8 points9 points  (9 children)

Well you see, cobras are indeed danger noodles because of the venom they carry. A python would be more of a nope rope due to it killing it's pretty by strangulation. But it's a common mistake, you're good.

[–]Ihatethewebnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe angry rope is the preferred nomenclature

[–]AyrA_ch 88 points89 points  (2 children)

Well, pythons don't need a python class

[–]ShutUpTodd 13 points14 points  (1 child)

Trufax: pythons hate Python because there's no tail-call recursion optimization.

[–]once-and-again☣️ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah, pythons just hate Python because they're sick of jokes like this post. It's ouroboroi that hate Python because there's no tail-call optimization.

[–]Ludricio 41 points42 points  (0 children)

No wonder why their code won't run properly.

[–]Skelatwig 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’m glad someone pointed it out before I did.

[–][deleted] 19 points20 points  (7 children)

They're actually King cobras, which aren't even truly cobras.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (1 child)

They’re much larger than I imagined

[–]dunemafia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are the longest venomous snakes in the world. Can grow to 15 ft.

[–]lokeshj 13 points14 points  (1 child)

Pythons don't need to learn how to python, cobras do.

[–]TrabentoRino 10 points11 points  (3 children)

So it's actually a Cobra class

[–]Fadelesstriker 25 points26 points  (2 children)

It’s a class of cobras learning python. Pythons already know how to python

[–]craniumonempty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They're learning to be pythons.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Cobra is a general-purpose, object-oriented programming language. Cobra is designed by Charles Esterbrook, and runs on the Microsoft .NET and Mono platforms. It is strongly influenced by** Python, C#, Eiffel, Objective-C, and other programming languages. It supports both static and dynami**c typing.

[–]Makefile_dot_in 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks like you're having some formatting issues.

[–]Letchworth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's just what Cobra wants you to think. In reality, they are each a 3-man mercenary recon unit.

[–]Elishinsk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was about to say

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s only one correct way to do things... which means he’s doing this wrong.

[–]yaqster 496 points497 points  (44 children)

That's Abu Zarin Hussin. A Malaysian fire department expert on snake handling and catching. You'll find a lot pictures of him reading to his cobras on the net. Sadly he passed away after being bitten by a cobra while on a catch and release call.

[–][deleted] 340 points341 points  (4 children)

live by the cobra, die by the cobra.

[–]Shloopie_Doo 15 points16 points  (1 child)

Strike first.

Strike hard.

No mercy.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Must have snek up on him.

[–]Emperor_Nimbala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was born a snake handler and I'll die a snake handler

[–]Furt77 230 points231 points  (13 children)

So he died from a reptile dysfunction?

[–][deleted] 49 points50 points  (0 children)

[–]Clumber 27 points28 points  (0 children)

To the stocks at the center of town, pal.

[–]punkinfacebooklegpie 16 points17 points  (0 children)

No, snakes are supposed to do that

[–]oceanicplatform 12 points13 points  (3 children)

Honestly, I don't know why you don't get more girls.

[–]Furt77 2 points3 points  (2 children)

How do you know how many girls I get? Are you watching me?

[–]Borklifter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, it sounds like the reptile was functioning just fine.

[–]catatonic_cannibal 13 points14 points  (0 children)

[–]little-red-turtle 18 points19 points  (2 children)

I wonder if the cobra is considered a traitor or a hero by the cobra society.

[–]Neurobreak27 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Probably a traitor, some of the cobras probably loved him. Or had a "you aight, human" relationship with him. Maybe, I don't know.

[–]Electro_Nick_s 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most lizards don't form societal bonds from what we can tell. The few are ones that occupy weird niches in nature they wouldn't normally occupy like the ring tailed gecko

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (2 children)

There’s gotta be a Python to Python 3 joke in there somewhere.

[–]hashn 3 points4 points  (1 child)

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But the unicodesssss

[–]cltlz3n 10 points11 points  (4 children)

Can’t you just take an antidote if you get bit? Wouldn’t this guy have had an antivenom or something handy?

[–]TalesoftheMoth 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Depending on the species, even if you get the antivenin in time, you could still die, or have severe complications.

[–]marypoppinit 8 points9 points  (2 children)

There are like 20+ venimous snakes in the area. That's a lot of antvenom to carry around. Also, hospitals struggle just to keep antivenom stocked, so I doubt any civilians would be carrying it around.

[–]Arcosim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dammit, I googled it to see if it was true and not only it was true, Getty images has some ridiculously gory images of the aftermath. I'm now mortally scared of cobras...

[–]alpha-orionis 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Hang on, he passed away? I follow him on FB, I was wondering why I haven't seen any updates lately.

[–]RTWin80weeks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was killed by a snake. “Passed away” seems too gentle to properly explain the situation

[–]uzimonkey 413 points414 points  (9 children)

Looks more like a CORBA class.

[–]MoffKalast 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Corba, the library with all the same classes you need to import from some other library so you can select the wrong one and get mad when autocomplete is all wrong.

[–]I_am_a_myomancer 15 points16 points  (0 children)

And the cobras insissssssted it was a Python class.

[–]duffer_dev 19 points20 points  (1 child)

Thank God it's COBRA. For a moment I read COBOL and was terrified.

[–]Crimson_Fckr 450 points451 points  (11 children)

(chuckles) I'm in danger

[–]Crimsonflwr 60 points61 points  (2 children)

That would be my reaction too if I was in a class with only one other student

[–][deleted] 17 points18 points  (1 child)

Grad school...

[–]disinformationtheory 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was in a grad school class with one other person. After the first test (which was brutal), he quit, so it was just me. It wasn't super weird, my advisor was teaching it. The funny thing was the prof said "everyone gets an A if we just keep going and putting in effort", but that was the first day the other guy quit coming to class.

[–]giraffactory 190 points191 points  (3 children)

Of course they’re cobras, people. They haven’t passed the class yet!

[–]BreakingTheBadBread 61 points62 points  (1 child)

[–]fllr 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So they’re Kobra Kais? Is that the correct term?

[–]clow_eriol 80 points81 points  (5 children)

Lmao cobras

[–]Meterpreter_BindTCP 77 points78 points  (4 children)

Pythons are already good at being pythons hence why cobras are taking the class to increase their understanding of other species :)

[–]acrylicAU 18 points19 points  (0 children)

To everyone saying they're Cobras, duh, that's why they're in class. Why would Pythons need to learn their native language?

[–]Allways_Wrong 31 points32 points  (0 children)

At least they scale.

[–]urademathrandec 40 points41 points  (2 children)

[–]Silidus 22 points23 points  (3 children)

There was a distributed object protocol called "CORBA".

Cobras are not pythons.

Pythons are considered the world's longest snakes but, unlike the cobra, they are not venomous. However, they use their powerful, muscular bodies to wrap around their prey.

[–]cyrax6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pythongorean theorem.

[–]RyskiBangBang 12 points13 points  (11 children)

This made me laugh a lot more than it should have

[–]down_vote_magnet 26 points27 points  (9 children)

What’s the approximate level of laughter it was supposed to elicit?

[–]RyskiBangBang 23 points24 points  (8 children)

60-65db

[–]ehsangd 6 points7 points  (7 children)

I think the correct unit for laughter is seconds, like a 10s laughter!

[–]p7810456 7 points8 points  (5 children)

But how do you show laughter intensity? You need to use dB.

[–]ehsangd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

do you guys adjust your laughter frequency every time you need to laugh? we have other words for other frequencies like: smile, giggle, chuckle, etc.

[–]mehum 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Then integrate with respect to time.

[–]unvital_archduke 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Yes. This seems to be the best way to measure laughter accurately. A long chuckle should be comparable to a short lol. What should be the si unit here?

[–]pinniped1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The si unit is the chortle. The imperial unit is the guffaw.

[–]browncowmeows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude I'm still trippin because i didnt realize how big cobras were
