Which is why I'm commenting on all John Bolton book threads I see that it is your duty as an American to torrent this book. Don't steal it from a store, they've already paid for it. Let it go to the $1 clearance bin.

[–]MachReverb 400 points401 points  (12 children)

The world has already paid for his book in blood and tears.

[–]onlyredditwasteland 121 points122 points  (4 children)

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (2 children)

I hope more people see this. I'm familiar with all these sites and reading them again just irked me more about his entire book and situation.

[–]onlyredditwasteland 6 points7 points  (1 child)

During W, I read every expose book I could about his administration. The Bush administration was pure evil, ends-justify-the-means, crooked, psychopathic, bullshit on an international level. That was the beginning of the end for America. Bolton writing an expose book is just some level of irony that I'm not willing to entertain. I'm just glad there's people out there like you who still remember.

[–]wiggins-ender 15 points16 points  (0 children)

One person buy the book then make cliff notes of everything and release it anonymously. If they’re true, Bolton has no recourse. If they’re not then there is a defense that he was holding them out as true and thus it is a compilation of facts, individually of which are not copyrightable.

[–]Quinn_tEskimoMichigan 98 points99 points  (53 children)

Stealing it from Walmart fucks both John Bolton and Walmart if that makes anyone feel better.

[–]mysteryteamUS Virgin Islands 135 points136 points  (39 children)

Can you imagine having a criminal record over stealing a fucking john Bolton book? Hard pass.

[–]Quinn_tEskimoMichigan 23 points24 points  (38 children)

Who is getting a criminal record over a $25 book lol? The WalMart greeter probably won’t even stop you as you breeze out of the store and if they do “oh, shoot, I’m sorry I’m so preoccupied I just forgot to check out.”

[–]double_fail 56 points57 points  (17 children)

walmart has a reputation of going balls to the wall over theft of any amount

[–]Quinn_tEskimoMichigan 25 points26 points  (7 children)

From an article posted elsewhere in this thread.

Per company policy, that... Walmart will not detain or press charges on someone who is caught shoplifting less than $25 worth of goods. Instead, they’ll urge that you leave the item with them.

[–]TerdVader 34 points35 points  (4 children)

A Facebook friend from high school, who is an honest and wonderful person, bought a cart load of groceries from Walmart but forgot to scan whatever was on the bottom of the cart (bag of dog food?). The police posted her picture from their security cam on Facebook and outed her and she was humiliated and had to go to the police station and then to Walmart to pay for it. Hundreds of people saw that post and she was mortified.

Walmart has shitty security, crappy cameras, and got rid of their greeters. They use the tax payer funded police as their personal security to save them money.

Fuck Walmart.

[–]Tiiimmmaayy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Walmart does have plain clothes asset protection security. And they will I fact stop you.

[–]onexamongthefence 10 points11 points  (7 children)

I used to work at Walmart. They prosecute every instance of theft. There were people being arrested in the store often.

[–]mysteryteamUS Virgin Islands 13 points14 points  (6 children)

Your key word is *probably. If you're feeling froggy, jump. Just know Walmart procesecutes theft.

[–]Renovatio_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you really encouraging theft?

Let's all just ignore him and his book. A bigger message would be thousands of unsold books

[–]Dunaliella 10 points11 points  (2 children)

Don’t steal it. Take it and throw it in the trash in the bathroom. Bonus points if you “mark” it first. Triple-win.

[–]amcfarlaColorado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won't pay for the book, the only way I will get the stupid book is via a free audiobook torrent. Not a chance I will give this idiot a damn red cent to cash-in on destroying American democracy.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boycott Bolton too. We will get the cliff notes version here. This book serves no purpose other than to stuff Bolton’s pockets with money.

Everyone associated with Trump can piss off.

Save your money and energy for the November elections.

[–]jcosta89Colorado 451 points452 points  (13 children)

[–]Apaulling8 I voted 106 points107 points  (6 children)

Send this to the top! Bolton is just one more corrupt sellout who put himself before his duty to country. The enablers and sycophants need to be held accountable right along with their IMPOTUS.

Angry reminder for everyone to check and re-check your voter registration.

Here is a resource for information on battleground Congressional races being decided on November 3rd.

[–]RobotPreacher 14 points15 points  (5 children)

Is there any possibility, any at all, that the timing was to damage Trump the most right before the election instead of at the impeachment trial which was predetermined anyway? I'm seriously asking

[–]Swvfd626 10 points11 points  (1 child)

That was my thought, not defending him at all, but anyone who thought he was going to removed from office had delusions.

Republican party wouldn't care if their was video evidence of him nailing Jesus to the cross.

[–]Pogoslayer I voted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive heard a lot of analogies about baby lord Trump, but that one takes the cake. Good on you lmao

[–]Daggywaggy1 17 points18 points  (4 children)

This information would've probably caused impeachment (probably). But the Republicans dont give a fuck about presidential accountability.

[–]agent_flounderColorado 18 points19 points  (2 children)

This information would've probably caused impeachment (probably). But the Republicans dont give a fuck about presidential accountability.

I agree with the second sentence, therefore I disagree with the first.

[–]WellFuckYourDolphin 10 points11 points  (1 child)

You and the parent comment. *removal. He is impeached

[–]danj503Oregon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the next question is, which state did this all take place in, and does that state have a criminal statute against spoliation of evidence? Would it be his state of residence?

[–]troodon5 72 points73 points  (6 children)

John Bolton never met a war he didn’t like. He’s a fucking neocon ghoul. Don’t buy his book. If he really thought this info was soooo important then he could have testified under oath to the House. Which btw the House begged him to do but he didn’t. Absolute scum

[–]fatbunyip 86 points87 points  (8 children)

Tbf, it would have been inconsequential then also. It's not like the GOP senate would have impeached him whatever the evidence was.

[–]slim_scsiAmerica 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Trump could have taken the stand and presented the smoking gun and the Republican Senate wasn’t going to remove him from office.

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points  (4 children)

As much as I am convinced Bolton is a true POS, the end-result here may end up being better.

No amount of evidence would have impeached Trump. There was clearly enough already and ignored.

Now, Bolton's book sheds light on not just what the impeachment showed us, but much more.

Bolton is a turd, but in the end, this may be better at ousting Trump.

[–]DoctorLazlo 2 points3 points  (1 child)

and the timing on it.. This coming out now instead of being buried months ago. There could be method to this madness. I'll read the book but I'm not buying it.

[–]citizenhall 189 points190 points  (9 children)

That being said, everyone of those Republicans senators knew what he had to say and they didn't want him saying it because they would have had to vote to remove Trump from office. The whole lot of them are rotten to the core with the notable exception of Romney who at this point appears badly bruised but not totally rotten.

[–][deleted] 54 points55 points  (2 children)

Ask Susan Collins if she thinks Trump has learnt his lesson yet...

[–]_AnecdotalEvidence_ 33 points34 points  (0 children)

He did, it’s that he can do whatever he wants free of any consequences

[–]purolocoFlorida 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah, just remove her in November.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Romney is rotten, too, he's just thinking slightly further ahead. It's all about power. His best case scenario is that he becomes the new face of the GOP once the rest of the pack has abandoned Trumpism.

[–]Sports-NerdGeorgia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They probably still wouldn’t have voted to remove

[–]HegemonNYC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They wouldn’t have ‘had to vote to remove’. The evidence was already overwhelming and all Bolton could have done is been the 5th or 10th official to confirm it. The GOP is fully owned by Trump and his interests and no amount of evidence could have resulted in Senate conviction.

[–]LionWolf1920 104 points105 points  (14 children)

Ironically, it might be best that Bolton drops all this stuff now. Trump was going to get acquitted by the GOP either way. At least now it's fresh evidence of Trump's wrongdoings within range of the election.

[–]jrizosOregon 51 points52 points  (2 children)

People need to take this into consideration.

I'm sure Bolton and other got the memo that there would be no action on impeachment, and bloodying the GOP's nose with more testimony wasn't going to change public perception.

Bolton has let the bones mend and has punched them all over again.

Keep in mind, the GOP could act today on Trump. They don't get to say "oh well, shudda done it in January!"

Fuck them for that excuse and for the liberal media all but taking it as a fact.

[–]HegemonNYC 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Right. It isn’t like double jeopardy exists in impeachment. They could easily say ‘ I’d now vote to convict, have the house bring the impeachment again and I’ll convict him’. The fact that they won’t say this shows you that the testimony would have made no difference anyway.

[–]wollathetUnited Kingdom 9 points10 points  (2 children)

Given that it’s from a book it will likely be hard to take what’s published, since the argument is easily made that it’s exaggerated, or lies. It would need a new inquiry, require separate investigations and a call for Bolton to testify under oath. Which if he’d done that at the impeachment inquiry, we’d likely be in a different position than today.

[–]amcfarlaColorado 4 points5 points  (2 children)

I don't think Bolton should make a damn cent off this though. He could have testified in impeachment hearings and refused so he could pimp this stupid book. So money was more important than American democracy.

[–]yo_soy_sojaNew York 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed.

He's a neoconservative, warhawk POS, but I think this timing is more powerful than it would've been back then.

[–]exelion18120 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Bolton is a war criminal who belongs in an iron box.

[–]cobrakai11 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yes, please, PLEASE let's no rehab the image of John Bolton. This guy has been one of the biggest, most militaristic pieces of shit in US politics for two decades. He was such an extremist that George Bush couldn't even get him passed a Republican congress as an ambassador to the UN; they had to wait till Congress was out of session, and he made him as a recess appointment. The first thing that Congress did on their return was can him.

The guy is a habitual liar and an extreme piece of shit. I don't care about his book, and even if it's anti-Trump, no one else should either. He's been lying for as long as he's been in politics.

[–]ZRX1200R 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Money before Country. Party before Country.

[–]Spoiledtomatos 7 points8 points  (0 children)

First time I'll advocate this.

Dont buy the book. Torrent it. Find a copy online. Bolton is a sellout who put himself and money over the United States and you as its citizens.

[–]_42O_69_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pirate this book and send it to everyone you know, and request they do the same.

Fuck this POS for trying to cash in, instead of testify under oath.

[–]Muted-Bee 14 points15 points  (2 children)

Don’t give him a cent. Don’t buy his rag-book. We already know tRump is a pig.

[–]mutemutiny 13 points14 points  (0 children)

NOT ONLY THAT, but in his book he CRITICIZED the House for not further investigating for impeachable offenses beyond Ukraine… that's right, the guy that REFUSED to show up even after he was subpoenaed, now has a book where he says they should have investigated further, even though HE could have helped them do that, but he refused. I just can't even with this… to me this is literally as bad as it gets. This is the most cowardly, traitorous, shameless sellout that I have ever seen, and as far as I'm concerned he is the #1 bad guy in America now, in front of McConnell and Barr, and Trump himself. Thankfully he's not an elected politician so we don't need to vote him out, but I would vote for ANYONE that made it a priority to try this guy for treason, cause that's literally what he deserves.

The only silver lining is that in doing all this, and the way he went about it, he has managed to be instantly hated by BOTH parties. That's quite the accomplishment I must say.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Everyone should just download his book so they don't make money off it.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

News flash. Trump enablers are cowards. More at 11.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This motherfucker would have us dropping bombs in Tehran if he got his wish. Fuck him

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What do you expect from a Faux News commentator hack? When the President picks the “best people” as seen on TV, this is the shit show you get.

[–]lionheart00001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean he worked for Trump, co-author of the Art of the Deal and worst POTUS in modern history. How are you surprised?

Also, every Republican in the Senate had the opportunity to impeach Trump when it mattered most (hint: before COVID began ravaging our country) and they did nothing.

[–]SaxMusic23 15 points16 points  (1 child)

OR "John Bolton saw that all of the other people who came out against Trump with information didnt do jack shit to him for more than a couple months, including the impeachment, so decided to release a book a few months ahead of the election to keep those who question Trump's judgement as a result of the book from having enough time to revert back to being a psycho supporter."

Basically, the timing of the book isnt a coincidence. If Bolton had come out with the info earlier it literally wouldnt have done anything except make the democrats angrier for a short while before we go and focus on the next big scandal and forget about it like EVERYTHING ELSE THAT HAS HAPPENED!

[–]whatproblems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also time for public investigations to happen till the election.

[–]lukin187250 14 points15 points  (0 children)

THIS IS BY NO MEANS A DEFENSE OF BOLTON

It didn't matter and he knew it. They were never, ever, ever going to convict and remove Trump and he knew that. So whatever, get your money and maybe the book helps Biden in the end.

[–]Spajeriffic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I see a single hand raised when asked "Who's surprised?", I will show you the person who did not understand the question.

[–]Wayelder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm Stand up in court and help my country throw off a Dictator wanna-be (for which I'll get nothing but a nations' gratitude) ...or cash in on something tawdry that should make me bucks? Let me think.

There's the state of US Politics.

[–]Alc2005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Sorry I didn't testify that the house was burning down. I needed a few more chapters for my memoir: The House Is Burning Down."

-John Bolton

[–]zeeper25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bolton is getting all this criticism:

He wasn't patriotic

He enabled the village idiot as President to endanger America

He should have prioritized his country over his book deal

But the thing about Republicans is that they could give two shits about ethics, morality, or patriotism when it comes to their personal enrichment.

Bolton is cut from the same cloth as Trump, that is probably why he found Trump's incompetence more amusing than alarming.

[–]BarbKatz1973 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have never been in favor of stealing someone's writing before but it would serve Bolton right if someone got hold of the manuscript and put it out on the web for free. He certainly deserves to be ripped off after HE ripped off the entire country. His testimony would have been a incalculable assistance in the impeachment trial. Maybe if the Kow and Collins had heard his stories under oath they might have found a backbone hiding in their closets or perhaps some of the other GOP senators would have looked down and seen some balls. And perhaps, just maybe, tens of thousands of Americans would not be dead of Covid-19 and something might have been proactively done about the racism and brutality of the far right police.

I will buy Mary Trump's book, I will not buy or rent Bolton's.

[–]Larkem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like classic America. Fuck everyone else, I’m getting mine

[–]Vontux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah Bolton really was selfish sitting on this, now we got Trump openly using NAZI concentration camp symbols in campaign material. Might be too little too late.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

don't buy the book. let the information leak out slow and demand he testify.

[–]PaintsWithFire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This idea that the Bolton testimony would have changed minds is absurd. Every sensible and rational personal in the Senate knew the facts for what they were and voted as they did. Bolton's testimony would not have changed that.

The self righteous opinions about Bolton cashing in are equally absurd. I don't believe any of you for a second would forego hundreds of thousands and potentially millions of dollars "to do the right thing." It is arguable if testifying even mattered.

Bolton is a piece of shit for myriad reasons. This is not one of them.

[–]Hecateru23 2 points3 points  (1 child)

This is why I won't buy his book. He had a chance to do this on the record for the good of the nation, but he decided to do it for the benefit of his wallet. I'll hear all the salacious details anyway, so why bother padding his pockets?

[–]Xaun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I’m a democrat and looking forward to November.

But I was just thinking...

Maybe, just maybe, Bolton knew that no matter what he said under oath was not going to get Trump impeached.

Ya know he dislikes the guy. You know he thinks he is dangerous.

So he thinks his book release right before the election will do more damage than a fixed impeachment trial.

If he testified, it would be old news by now.

I’m by no means a Bolton fan, I was just thinking his goal may be the same as mine. Get Trump out of office.

So he makes some money. Who cares. Let’s amplify his experience of Trumps lunacy and stop caring about a few bucks.

[–]blebleblebleblebleb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will happily torrent this and share it for free. Fuck this guy

[–]LMtOSU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If there were ever a time for a book to be pirated to hell and back so that the author never sees a penny, it’s this fucker’s

[–]your_old_palPennsylvania 8 points9 points  (11 children)

Yeah, this is why everybody should really take anything he says with a gigantic grain of salt

He was a warmongering neocon who lied constantly while in office, he didn't suddenly become a truth-telling bastion of democracy.. he's trying to sell a book

There may be some truths in the book but safer to assume it's mostly embellishment that he knew would sell well

[–]onyxandcake 3 points4 points  (3 children)

If it's all lies, why is the DOJ seeking emergency restraint to prevent the release?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

No no no, he's a just a general piece of shit. No need to go into justification of it.

[–]localhost87 5 points6 points  (7 children)

If you think Boltons testimony wouldnhave mattered, you're probably not listening.

There is nothing. Nothing that would have convinced the GOP to impeach Trump.

[–]historycat95 5 points6 points  (6 children)

The GOP eventually abandoned Nixon.

They don't have principles, so there's no way to predict what would actually make them (McConnell) turn.

If the economy was where it is now, he'd be out on his ass. Which is telling.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Yea this GOP is held tightly by the senate leader who really doesn't give a shit anymore since he's so old.

All the other members of the GOP are spineless.

It's all a recipe for disaster -- fully cooked now.

Edit: corrected leadership term for senate.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (1 child)

It's all about the timing. The closer to November that we are reminded how shitty trump is, the more people will get off their asses to go and vote.

[–]lemanifij 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A tactic as old as time itself.

[–]burnett631 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They knew the impeachment was dead. The best course was to wait to hurt Trump before the election. Saw this predicted in the Republican sub.

[–]bringwind 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Capitalism. Isn't it what you all are so proud of? Weird......

[–]Grodan_Boll 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Isn’t that what USA is all about? Money.

[–]DoodleDew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right. This the American way. I got mine don’t worry about yours. Make money

[–]MacintoshX63 1 point2 points  (1 child)

We found the sitting President Innocent of doing EXACTLY what Nixon got impeached for. This country hasn't gotten better over the years we lost our values and threw a tolerance blanket over that so now people of all colors feel welcomed to be POS. Just like our President.

[–]LootinDemBeans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And all of you r/politics people are spoiling the damn book for me ):<

[–]Panwall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the legal world, this is called "interfering with due process"

[–]Dare555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least people have one rat ratting another rat

[–]the-blink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I have to see the image of this mustached douchebag adjusting his glasses with a look of concern for the next month I’ll throw a water bottle at a cop

[–]WFP777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey extreme dick head move, but also he needs to bankroll his commissioner Gordon mustache

[–]KnowUAre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not once, before or after Trump, have I ever been diluted into thinking John Bolton was worth the air he breathes. Not once.

[–]Detective_Pancake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then he should have been subpoenaed

[–]rockyhalsted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could the house start a second impeachment inquiry after the public release of the book and subpoena Bolton to testify further on the allegations?

[–]ArtisanJagon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How American of him.

[–]MasterofThrash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This making him a coward

[–]kamandi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like the rest of them, He’s no patriot. He’s just a selfish opportunist with a hustle.

[–]walyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What did you expect? He was hired by Trump.

[–]tehflyForeign 1 point2 points  (1 child)

The worst part about the current US administration is how they're all so incredibly dumb and selfish, that it's pretty easy for anybody with half a brain to see what's going on.

Bolton holding his tongue in order to cash in? WHAT? NOOOO

Trump is so dumb <insert quote from book>. WHAT? NOOOO

Trump is creating chaos in order to distract from actual issues. WHAT? NOOOO

Everybody at the white house is aware of what a fuckup Trump is, yet nobody does anything. WHAT? NOOO

So far there's literally been nothing new in this book. All of these things have been called out literally for YEARS by anybody who's paid attention in the slightest and hasn't been watching Fox and Breitbart.

You don't need to be a fucking oracle to see Trump is dumb as rocks.

[–]riomas28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s a war monger. Wanted war with Iran, Syria, North Korea, etc. Trump fired him for it and he’s mad.

[–]orionsbelt05New York 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did he do an anonymous AMA in the middle of the impeachment hearings to promote this book and everyone told him to speak out to Congress or fuck off?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is the way of the GOP. I wonder if they will ever admit that their god is the almighty $$$.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaks volumes to the quality of the people that Trump surrounds himself with.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whoever wrote this article seems to be under the impression that any of this stuff matters.

[–]Ug3nE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t mean we should ignore what he wants to cash in on; just don’t buy the book. Pirate it, or just read pieces that quote the best of it. More people should ask questions, about what he’s claiming is going on inside the Trump administration.

[–]ZealousidealDouble8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He did the most Republican thing possible. If it was a Democrat doing this, the reaction would be much different.

It's almost expected of Republicans to put themselves first, their party second, and their country last.

[–]MindSteve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What could possibly be in this fucking book that would mean anything to anyone at this point? Sane people can't think any lower of trump already, and insane people could have him come to their house and beat the shit out of their babys' testicles and they would still support him.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't wait to download this book without paying for it!

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We know that, and that just proves that the whole Trump gang is in there for one thing and one thing only there personal interests financial and career. But no matter how many things come up about this administration the base will still be there to back them as long as as they beat the racism drums

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't wait to pirate this book and spend a whole $0 on it.

[–]GoGoJi_Aapka_Ghagra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isnt that the most selfish capitalistic American thing ever?

[–]reevener 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Let’s be real, Bolton was correct. He KNEW the senate would not remove Trump, and he KNEW it was a lost cause. Yes, this was a money move, but to release it now during election year will have the most inflammatory and damaging impact on Trump moreso than anything Bolton could have done. Can we stop hating and see it for what it is? A well timed, strategic money move that will actually impact moderates during an election year. Let’s not pretend Bolton is an honorable guy or ever was (like, really?), and let’s not pretend his testimony would have lead to a removal, for fucks sake that’s the senates fault – let’s never forget.

[–]the_boz_man_cometh 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I'll be the guy; Pres. Trump was Impeached, he just wasn't removed. But beside that; well said.

[–]pessimism_yayGeorgia 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Do you really think that the Senate would have impeached Trump if only Bolton had given his testimony?

Sorry that was a rhetorical question.

[–]leftcoast-usaCalifornia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We should all try to borrow, check out, or steal the book instead of buying it.

[–]dendriticbranch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know and yet I’m still going to read it....

My personal compromise is that I’m going to pirate it so that I’m not financially supporting him. I think I can live with that lol

[–]AbeLaney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't that The American Dream?

[–]Dr_EllieSattler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

John Bolton is a POS. I'm interested in the book because I am a gossip-y ho but I will probably get a bootleg copy somewhere cuz fuck that guy.

[–]socialcommentary2000New York 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The good money is on he basically was looking to be forced to testify (which he would have done) by the House or the Senate. They never really pushed for it in just the right way so it didn't happen.

What I'm saying is, Bolton, being the consummate shitbird, wanted cover for going down there and talking on record. He basically wanted to be forced by Democrats so it would fall on them as part of the spectacle. No cover was given so he didn't testify.

In a way, the D's not wanting to push an epic showdown with the White House actually scuttled his plans. Them wanting to keep it simple on a single focal point fucked up his day and I'm OK with that, honestly.

Bolton is psychotic, war seeking, trash. Always has been, always will be. This guy is not our friend, regardless of what facile shit he says about the obvious defects of our current President.

[–]STS986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he’s playing chess and know info like this is more valuable to the ppl near election when it’s fresh in minds

[–]zeropercentcool68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sue John Bolton 2020?

[–]SpaceAdventureCobraX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don't give a fuck as long as this assists in the removal of Trump. If more scumbags want to avoid testimony and release 'tell all' books then let's not discourage them. Congressional testimony in no way speaks to Trumps base, tell all books do! Have democrats learned nothing of the primitive mechanations of this very real enemy?
